He made me feel at ease. I had a good feeling & the day of surgery he prayed with me & my husband. He checked on me after surgery and days after. My surgery was a complete success & I got the use of my right arm and hand back. If I'm ever in need of a back Dr he is the only one I will go to without question. Just pray if I'm ever in need he's still in Tyler.

Met Dr. before scheduling surgery & again on next two visits during rehab. Spent 6 months doing rehab 4 times a week & on my final visit to see my condition was cleared by the PA & Dr Kummerfield & back to playing golf & tennis as good as I was before the accident. Couldnt be any more pleased for my results & refer him to anyone asking if I know a good shoulder DR. AND I was 70 at time of the injury.

I meet the Dr. laying on gurney about to go into surgery. Two weeks later come back again no Dr. just PA he says all's good recovery should be about 6 weeks and fully healed in 2 to 3 months. I'm in Dallas so each visit is a 5 hour event. I cancelled 6 week appointment and requested Zoom or phone call. Dr's office said come see PA a their office or no contact! That's service isn't it. They did zoom calls a few months ago during Covid, but now for a patient 100 miles away they won't pick up a phone to explain how my elbow is not healing and hurts all the time. Bottom line see another Doctor.

Just moved to Tyler and have had back…read moreissues in the past so I not knowing the area called Azalea Orthopedics,they wanted my MRI discs and history along with all of my personal information and insurance BUT they couldn't guarantee an appointment at all! I waited 2 days for an answer from Dr Russell wether or not he would see me,well they still have my personal info AND my discs but I was refused an appointment! At this point I cannot walk and I was refused ???? I explained my dilemma in length and that time was of the essence. I called THEM back only to get a message to leave a message! They called back 30 minutes later to say NOPE...Call somebody who does pain management,in other words Dr Russell would rather not take the time to access! My experience with pain management always ends up with drugs,lots of drugs which I don't care for! To me it appears that I'm not a huge money case so be gone with me! Totally disappointed with how this was handled! Right now BC/BS is being hit with an ID scam so I was not real pleased with handing over my entire personal information just to be turned away! I just made a phone call to another local orthopedic place and without hesitation I was received and an a appointment made without hesitation! Azalea Orthopedics ....I've got nothing good to say about how your practice handles people!

Dr. Beck may be a good surgeon but his post operative care is lacking. No instructions were given…read moreon wound care to prevent pain from the incision other than dealing with swelling. I experienced serious pain and sensitivity from the incisions and finally got help from a dermatologist. Post op office visits waiting times were usually 1 hour before seeing Dr Beck.

First person he saw was an NP, who knew absolutely nothing and gave him minimal info. They did schedule him for an MRI and then he finally saw a DO there. He saw a small 'mass' on his lower spine and from there, washed his hands of my husband. He never asked my husband any questions such as a possible past injury there. What he doesn't know is that he did indeed have a severe injury there as a child and has scar tissue. We will never go back there
