This event center focuses on weddings. There is an outside patio area with sofas and a fire table as well as an outdoor wedding area with seating. Inside there is table seating a bar and a dance floor. The parking lot is huge so no problem there. The only annoyance was a band performing outside at the business next door which made it difficult to hear the wedding ceremony which was also performed outside. The food was very good. read more

Was there for a wedding. It was mid July. The air conditioning either wasn't working, or wasn't turned on. They apparently hadn't informed the wedding party of this. They had no solutions. It was 85F in the event center. People were melting. Other than that, lovely place. read more

The only inconvenient thing is how far the rest rooms are from some of the further located rooms. The room was well sized and the staff were present. The food was some of the best I've had at a small event venue. The eggplant rolotinni were the best, but not far behind the make your own beef on weck. read more

Ample parking for Handicapped. The one banquet space was perfect. Tables were placed where no views of the podium were blocked by support posts. The only hiccup was that the sound system went out during several introductions. It was fixed within 5 minutes. The food service was great. It was buffet-style, and well organized for serving. Tables were served quickly and everyone said they enjoyed their meal. Servers were helpful and pleasant. A cash bar was offered, (soft drinks were free). Prices were not unreasonable, and the server was pleasant. The restrooms were almost sanitized, they were so clean! read more

Went to the Wild West BBQ Dinner Series at the Wurlitzer Events and it was amazing. Theres a huge bar for your cocktail needs.Its a very big venue perfect for any occasion. This event included appetizers, dessert and a BBQ inspired dinner with lots of country music and line dancing. Friendly staff and a buffet style dinner with four stations was delicious. I had honey fried chicken, garlic mashed sweet potatoes,corn,bacon Brussel sprouts , fat back baked beans and apple pie for dessett.It was definitely a fun night . read more

The Wurlitzer Events center is doing some amazing dinner series.I recently attended their Wild West BBQ dinner.The Venue is very spacious they had line dancing and there's a huge bar to grab a drink.They served appetizers of fruit, cheese and crakers.There were four stations set up with honey fried chicken, corn, bacon Brussel sprouts, fat back baked beans, potato wedges ,garlic mashed sweet potatoes, corn bread, biscuits and gravey.They food was tasty and delicious. The Scarlett Vetter says.....attended a political function at this lovely place. It was spacious and well appointed. I loved the lighting..... perfectly muted by translucent inverted cones. The event was for more than a couple of hundred attendees, and the space well accommodated many tables of 10. The sound control could be better as it was hard to hear during cocktail hour at times. The main courses were served buffet style, but it was quite good. The salads and desserts were served at table. They pour a decent drink as well. The space lent itself to a lot of ability to mingle. Originally reviewed pre-covid, and my recent visit was happily as pleasant as my last. Attended Mothers Day Brunch with friends. Price was in line with other area holiday brunches. Atmosphere was beautiful. Service attentive. Food was all great. A couple things stood out. The salad was definitely a cut above the usual buffet salad. The fresh berries and more than adequate amount of feta cheese made it special. The waffles were both fluffy and crispy, served with fresh berries and whipped cream. The star of the buffet table, though, was the shrimp. Huge and delicious, tails removed. If I wasn't already full, could have had an entire plate of those as a 2nd helping. But, there was dessert to be had. So many varieties of fancy and yummy. Glad we made this choice for our holiday meal. read more

Went to a wedding here the other day and it was beautiful. They had the surf and turf dinner option with filet minion, scallops, shrimp, mashed potatoes and veggies - it was delicious! The appetizers were average. Good selection of alcohol, but they give out the beers in cans and bottles which I think kind of cheapified the place. The little outdoor area was nice too with the heaters and fires at night time. read more

We visited this for the first time. Never knew there was an event venue hiding behind Platters chocolate and Woodcock Brothers. The room we were in was spacious. Our party had about 100 guests. The tables were set out with more than enough space to move around. There was a cash bar with quick service, but the bar tenders were not really talkative. The buffet was set up on the side with room to go by on both sides. Enough choices to not leave hungry: beef, breaded chicken, pasta, mashed potatoes and salad. The food all tasted great. The room had an industrial look. Maybe because of that (concrete columns and ceiling) the acoustics were not great. The music was no problem but understanding a speaker using a microphone was not great. read more

Attended a wedding and reception held here. Everything was very impressive. The food was well prepared and tasted amazing. The banquet room is huge. There is a nice size bar which served top shelf. The dance floor was great, and right outside a lovely patio with a fire pit. I would have no problem booking this venue for my personal event. read more

From start to finish, our experience at the Wurlitzer could not have been better. We worked with Don to plan and execute our wedding day and found him to be easy to work with, amenable, and accommodating. The food was excellent. The space was amazing. The pricing was very reasonable. Don also officiated our wedding and did a great job. We had heard good things about the Wurlitzer and they exceeded our expectations. Honestly really disappointed with the events coordinator. We were supposed to have a wedding ceremony and reception during COVID. Now when we planned this, it was before COVID. I booked the place over the phone for the Recital room and the reception room downstairs. (Beautiful venue btw) now when I booked over the phone I had given out my CC info and was charged a non refundable charge of $1500 for what I thought was the recital room and reception area. I didn't receive any email confirming what I had booked nor did I sign any contract. Fast forward a couple months and I have plenty of messages back and forth with the coordinator talking about what was included in both rooms and what we were needing to bring. Now it's two weeks before the BIG day and I receive an email that says "so where in the reception room will we have your ceremony?". So now with all the added stress of uninviting over 100 people to our wedding we get this email. I'm kind of shell shocked at this point... and reply with a somewhat short message along the lines of "wTF dude". You would think over months of talking back and forth about the Recital room being where our ceremony will take place is self explanatory. Guess not, he had take the time to tell me that not only was I being difficult during this time but I had also just booked the reception room... After this we thought we had everything straightened out. The world wouldn't end if we can't have the Recital room. So we found a replacement venue two weeks before the wedding. We figured we could just do a small ceremony in the corner of the reception room we had booked because we didn't want to waste the $1500 non-refundable deposit. Mind you him and I are still talking back and forth via email. If you would like to see, I will gladly show you. We are ONE day before the wedding... I'm talking 16 hours. And we get another email from the event coordinator but this time on my fiancé's email. It reads something like "I'm sorry due to not being able to get in contact with you, we will not be able to host your wedding here at the Wurlitzer". Now I was emailing him constantly almost everyday of the week leading up to the wedding. After talking with the management the night before our wedding they say we can have the Recital room (the original room we couldnt have because it was booked and I didn't book it along with the reception room). The day of the wedding we noticed that there was an event going on in the reception room our wedding was supposed to take place 24hours prior. So how did someone already have that booked ? Who knows. The guy is shady and most definitely double booked us. Now I would 100% not give them such a terrible review if the event coordinator Don would just admit he made a mistake other than just say that I am the one who messed up. read more

Had my sisters bridal shower here this past June. Beautiful venue, wonderful service and great food. We were in the smaller space upstairs, I know they recently finished their ballroom on the first floor but I haven't seen it. We had a plated lunch with the choice of lasagna (my favorite, huge portion) turkey sandwich and roast beef wrap. Each option came with a side salad. Coffee and tea was included. We also had a wine punch bowl that was a crowd pleaser! I think we went through 3! The size of the venue was more than enough for 40 ppl. You could probably fit 100! Platters chocolate is located in the Wurlitzer building as well and they did our party favors (sponge candy!) We had such a great experience that we are currently planning my dads 60th surprise party there! read more

Easter Brunch Pros: Food good, but not exceptional. Plenty of parking. Close to home. Tables spaced so navigating was easy. Plenty of food. Comfortable chairs for a banquet hall. Cons: LOUD. No attempt to deal with acoustics. Could just barely hear each other talk. Cannot imagine a band in there. Inadequate servers; EVERYTHING is self-serve, from mimosas to water, coffee, and no clearing of tables from empty plates. No spoons. Not even at the coffee area. Use the knife I guess. NO SIGNAGE. How does one know where to enter or even what the place is? Too few handicapped parking spaces. I noted 4. Maitre de spoke to no one, did not greet or interact with guests, and looked unapproachable and grouchy. Signs on table asking to tip servers. There were servers???? read more

I had my daughter's bridal shower in the Tower Ballroom. Everything was great. Working with Ali was a pleasure. She was very responsive to all my requests. The food was good and the room was beautiful. If I had to say one con it would be that the room was very cold. But other than that the event was a complete success and I would definitely have future events there. read more

My mother in law and I hosted my sister in laws bridal shower in the upstairs room in October of 2018. We had about 120 guests and we asked for the dance floor and sound system as well as the monitors to play a slide show and music. We ordered rice, chicken skewers and salads from the hall and the food was great! We also brought traditional food that we made from home and we also brought our own desserts. All the food went fast but we fed all of our guests. I would definitely recommend ordering more food initially because I don't think they made enough. We added 10 more people to the final count so I don't know how we were not given more leftovers. I'm surprised about the bad reviews for the food...that was definitely not my experience for our evening event. Everyone said their food was great. Don the event manager was spectacular. He helped us plan a successful event. We recommended this place to a friend and they had their wedding here and it was beautiful. They used the upstairs room and the grand ballroom as well. The halls were beautifully decorated and the staff were so accommodating. I highly recommend the Wurlitzer for any event need. read more

Beautiful space, friendly service, TERRIBLE food. I really want to like this place. I want it to succeed. The only way that's going to happen is if they get some help and overhaul this food. I've only been here once, for the Mother's Day brunch. Hopefully it's an off day. The Belgian waffles were LITERALLY HARD AS A ROCK. I couldn't get a knife through them. The French toast was pretty stiff, too. They were out of eggs, frittata and veggies when I went up but the eggs were refilled as I was standing there. The syrup was out. The buffet was skimpy. They cut my husband a piece of prime rib that was nothing but gristle. We really loved the atmosphere and service, but the food was sparse and some of what was there was inedible. ***Update: I just spoke to others who were there for Mother's Day and were very unhappy. They started putting away the buffet 45 minutes after their reservation. My friends rushed up to get dessert before they took that away, Then waited a long time for coffee. As soon as they finally got coffee to go with their desserts, the staff started breaking down the tables all around them. As they took the hint to get up and leave, they were standing up to say goodbye and a woman with a black and red striped shirt started reaching around them to angrily clear the table and take the tablecloth off right in front of them! This venue was absolutely gorgeous for my baby shower! I worked with Tammy and she was so amazing and incredibly helpful, she definitely made all my visions come to life. She helped make this day so special and memorable and really put everything together for me with ease. And the food was delicious! Was there this past Tuesday night with many Scouting friends and family for a Scouting Awards Dinner. They ran out of Chicken, servers were telling those waiting in line that there was no more coming out. Couple tables did not get all the food being served, only thing left were vegetables, potatoes, over cooked lasagna and pasta. Potatoes were too spicy, the lasagna was burnt on the bottom, and very hard to cut, took too long to serve ice cream, it was rock solid, just the banquet manger scooping it for over 250 (It should of been scooped prior and brought out in cups). Banquet Manager was seen as being rude to the one of the staff organizers of the event, at the desert table, Manager caused the program to be delayed because of his placement of the dessert table. Prices for drinks were on the high end, more than you would pay at other Banquets for a cash bar. Staff was not organized, and looked to be short handed for the size of the event. The only plus was the venue, many people who came left hungry, most banquets have seconds, this evening there wasn't even 1st for some. Management needs to make improvements to food and service, they also need to make sure they have enough food to serve all who are in attendance. If you are thinking of having an event at this venue, be prepared for bad service, and not enough food. Read the reviews from Mother's Day, guess they didn't learn from that day. read more

I recently had lunch there with a club that I am a member of. The food was good and the manager seemed very nice, even tho he apologized for not having enough food. Seems there was a miscount of people between the club and the restaurant. My complaint was that there were at least two women servers who were extremely rude. Because of the miscount, there were not enough tables with enough seating, so this particular server had to set up another table and chairs. Her attitude was very unprofessional, as she was visibly irritated and told us that "there are seats available because the checks are counted and there are the right amount of seats to accommodate everyone". This was not true, as several other ladies ended up sitting at our table, too. She kind of just flung the plates on the table, while giving us nasty looks. A guest in my group tried to put a chair in place at the table, and she nastily said " What are you doing?" and the guest said they were trying to help. She then said, " I'm capable of doing it myself and i don't need your help! " Another server seemed less than happy to be waiting on tables, not friendly at all, and looking grouchy! I don't know why this happened at our special event, but, I would certainly not recommend the Wurlitzer Banquet place to anyone, after the terrible treatment from the serving staff. read more
