Worst place for wedding the service sucked my best friend the groomsmen his food was cold. The steak was over cooked and dry and a server spilled champagne on one of the guest. Over the years, whether attending weddings or other celebrations at Arrowhead's venues, we've never had a single experience that was anything less than wonderful. If you're looking for a venue with a beautiful setting, exceptional food, and a team that genuinely cares about the people they serve, we cannot recommend The Timberlodge or The Sterling at Arrowhead highly enough. My great nieces wedding went off without a hitch. Very nice surroundings. Staff was pleasant. Food was delicious. Easy to get in and out of clean all in all it was a wonderful experience. only thing was, I agree with another rating, which said the drinks for water down. I do agree with that. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I really was hoping I would not have to write this review, but Arrowhead and associated management have really left me no choice. First, I would say that it is an expensive venue but has a beautiful location and great buildings. The food was not the best but not terrible. The staff that worked with my wife and I were wonderful. Kayla was our "wedding coordinator" and she was lovely. It did feel like a very loose term for the wedding coordinator but during the event she was extremely attentive and helpful. The reason for the one-star review is due to the venue itself and its management team. We had a Saturday, 2/15/25, wedding and there was a wedding there on Friday, the night before. Again, this is all to be expected given this is a golf course and wedding venue. During the winter, they would need to get as much business renting out the space. We had our concerns but again, this was on the pricier side of wedding venues, and you would expect that booking 2 nights in a row should not be a problem for them. Oh, but we were wrong, and I have receipts for everything and gladly explain the details to anyone. The problem was with their plumbing. Before our wedding event even started, their toilets backed up and for the remainder of the night, the venue smelled of sewage. This was about 130 people at the wedding. Pregnant women and handicap people were in attendance. Thank God we had hired buses to help people get back to the hotels safely. Our hired drivers were willing to transfer guests to the other venue to use their facilities. This screwed up our bus schedule for the end of the night. Also, the venue did not put up any signs or directions on what to do if you had to use the restroom. As we are in the middle of our wedding with family and friends from all over, what can we do? We rolled with it. Here is where the sad truth of the company and management team comes into play. As a respected client, I reached out to Arrowhead and asked to speak with someone about how unsatisfied I was with the venue. I did not want to write a review until I gave the company a chance to make it right. After reaching out via email, I was put in contact with the property manager (PM). This gentleman was really a piece of work. At no point in our conversations did he give me the respect of a valued customer. We had to pay for everything up front, which is probably why they don't seem to care The first conversation started out with the PM telling me that the venue had to get an emergency plumber out to the venue to fix the backed-up pipes and that he could bill my wife and I for that charge. I tried to explain to the property manager that I am an upset customer and would appreciate the company making it right. The PM claimed to be an ex-lawyer, which he liked to remind me of constantly throughout our conversation. During this conversation, I let the PM know that I was not seeking legal action and simply wanted to be compensated for the unsatisfactory product, which is the price of a new car. I told them that he could prevent bad reviews by giving us some money back. This sent the PM off. He began to threaten to sue me if I were to write a bad review. We ended the conversation with the property manager, going to reach out to the owners to try and meet my request. Keep in mind my request would only hurt their margin a little, not at all make them lose money for the night. The property manager told me he would get back to me within the week. I took 3 more weeks to hear back. After reaching out multiple times, the PM told me their final low-ball offer but said I would have to sign an NDA. I would rather write an honest review so other customers can fully understand the company they are working with. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY DON'T CARE! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. I'm writing this in hopes that what happened to me won't happen to others. While this venue is absolutely gorgeous and the scenery made for a memorable wedding, there were a few things that my husband and I felt as if management did terrible on. The biggest issue is bringing in your own belongings through the white glove package, they cannot and will not assure you have everything and don't be surprised if you are missing the most memorable things when you leave the wedding. They lost our guest book, 10 pictures with our own frames, our cute bartender Mr & Mrs drink list and our "important dates" wood sign. If you ask to see the cameras, those only are recording for a week (so they told us). So you're doomed if you go on honeymoon right after the wedding. My photographer also reached out to them for she had forgotten her fur jacket there and they said they could not find it and it was not there. It wasn't until my husband and I went there randomly to try and find all our belongings that the fur jacket suddenly showed up and the lady said it was found in someone's office. Another issue is that the communication sort of lacks, we would just end up making a trip there to get things sorted out because it takes them a solid week or more to answer back. Honestly with everything we had been through with this venue, it would have been less frustrating and easier just to elope in a different country. We had our wedding at The Sterling in August 2024 (the sister venue to Timberlodge).While the venue was beautiful, we were not pleased with our overall experience, despite purchasing the white glove package that included a wedding coordinator. Bottom line - you cannot trust the Sterling to keep their word, to ensure they fulfill what you have paid for, to be responsive, or to keep your items safe during your event. If you choose to move forward with them, make sure you have everything in the contract. We paid for the premium bar, which included top shelf liquor. An hour into the event, the groom realized the Sterling was not serving the premium liquor and did not have it displayed to show guests that it was available. We told the bartenders that we had the premium bar package and the bartenders told us they were instructed by management to only serve the premium liquor when specifically ordered by a guest. If we had not noticed and made an announcement, the venue would have continued to serve liquor that was part of the less expensive package. As we broke down the venue, we realized the card box was not locked (despite staff ensuring us they would lock it) and following our wedding, we realized some cards were missing. We asked to review the security cameras and were informed by Sterling management they were not working the night of our wedding and failed to address the issue further. During our initial venue tour (which you are limited to two times to see the venue) we were told we could bring in our own appetizers (for cultural reasons), could accommodate certain dietary restrictions for the bride's family, and would assist with our dessert table. None of these promises were kept, even though we had them in writing. Our wedding coordinator was often unreachable, as was the venue itself. We had multiple vendors let us know that the venue was not answering the phone or answering emails. When the final bill was due, there were mistakes listed, and we could not get a hold of anyone at the Sterling. read more

Beautiful scenery for a wedding. Food was ok. Drinks did not seem to have much alcohol for $70 per person. The mother of the bride had a difficult time getting a drink. They did not have enough bartenders. The wait staff did not clear tables of glasses and dinner plates for 2 hrs after dinner. There seemed to be enough staff but they were not clearing tables. I complained to the manager and she told me they only had one dishwasher. I asked her if she could clear tables for coffee and desert but that did not happen. Came here for a wedding. The staff was good, the venue is nice, so I'll give it 4 stars. The mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were both good but the steak was over cooked, past well done shoe leather. Obviously at a catered event it won't be cooked to order but it should be done to medium at most. I've now been to two weddings at the Timberlodge and they were both beautiful. The space is lovely, and has that sort of pinterest-worthy rustic feel. Both ceremonies were in an outside area, but one (in October) had the area closed off and heated. The food at both weddings was very good for banquet food. Interestingly, since I'm not a vegetarian, the standout dish was an Eggplant Parmesan that was just gorgeous. I had the opportunity to sit at both the head table and a not-head table; a lot of times that means a huge difference in food quality but here it was not a marked drop. The service is okay. Friendly but not super efficient, especially considering how many servers they had running around. The door to the kitchen opens right onto where people are standing and waiting for the bar, and waitstaff were slamming that door open like there was no tomorrow. They have a dance floor off the main room that is technically outside but is covered and has roll down flaps (think a big tent). It was nice to have the dance floor/music completely separate from the bar and tables, so you could carry on a conversation. One thing that I would definitely keep in mind before booking this venue is the air conditioning. For a wedding in October, the temperature was perfect. For a wedding at the end of August, it was sweltering hot. They had the doors closed throughout dinner with signs about improving the AC efficiency, but the only place that seemed air conditioned was the bathroom. One of the other guests mentioned the heat to a server, who said "this is nothing, it gets a lot hotter." Which, oof. Temperature is definitely something to factor in to the decision-making process here. read more

I absolutely can't say enough great gongs about the Timberlodge. My husband and I had our wedding here 7-11-14! Anna was amazing at helping me plan everything from 2,300 miles away. She was always very quick to respond to calls and emails. The food was fantastic also. We had 3 options and we were pleased with all of them. Amazing scenery for our photos too. We got to take a bunch of golf carts all around the property to find places for photo ops. There wasn't one thing I would have changed or complained about. I had my wedding reception here this past Friday 9/16. I love the location and venue but it ends there. During the planning of our wedding our wedding coordinator was often MIA, taking a very long time to respond to emails, not only from myself but also to other outside vendors we hired. I completely understand that during wedding season there is going to be a delay in response, figuring that the coordinator is giving 110% to her current brides. However, as my day got closer, the communication got worse. At the end of the day, the lack of communication with the coordinator was frustrating but not the worst experience of our wedding. The worst experience at The Timberlodge was the food. I have to admit most wedding food is not usually great, a so-so experience that most people come to expect at weddings. I would have been grateful for a so-so food experience in this case. The food was literally inedible. We splurged for our guests and got their ultimate entree option. We chose the honey garlic chicken and Delmonico steak. The honey garlic chicken was so dry you could barely swallow it, but the STEAK was the worst steak of my life. The cut was fatty, terribly cooked and tasteless. I couldn't even cut the steak. It turned into a messy steak slop on my plate that I only had one bite of. The worst part about this, the terrible food didn't stop at the sweetheart table. I was horrified to find out that the food experience was so bad, our guests complained!!! I found out later that one of them pulled our coordinator aside to tell her about the horrible food with no resolution offered. I even spoke to one guest who didn't touch her vegetarian option - who explained to me the vegetable primavera was bland and tasteless. To say the least, I am so embarrassed that my guests literally couldn't eat their meals. I never thought I could be this disappointed with a wedding venue I fell in love with, a food tasting a few months prior to the wedding that was delicious and a wedding venue/ food price that cost us $30,000. On top of the terrible food experience they also forgot to do a few things. I purchased two gluten free cupcakes for two of my guests. I made the coordinator aware of this 1-2 weeks before the wedding. I was told the cupcakes would be served directly to my two gluten free guests when the cake came out. As I was saying good bye to one of the guests, I asked how her gluten free cupcake was and she told me she never got a cupcake. I immediately located someone and asked to speak to my coordinator (they couldn't find her) and I was greeted by someone else who tried to locate the cupcakes. After a few minutes of waiting for them she handed both of them to me and didn't serve my guests. Unfortunately one of my gluten free guests had already left and didn't receive their cupcake. We were also told that our wedding cake would be served to my groom and I and that did not happen. I was finally given a piece of cake by my matron of honor but unfortunately my husband never got a piece. We were also told that the fire pit outside would be lit after dark and that never happened either. I am disappointed beyond belief - a feeling no bride should ever have. read more

An ex-employee's review; I worked at Timberlodge for a little over a month/ two months before leaving due to the terrible working conditions. Weddings were booked every weekend which meant I would be pulling anywhere from an 5 hour shift to 10 hour shifts. The shifts meant I would be walking and always on my feet, without being actually tipped. When booking your wedding, beware of the server tip policy, because according to the money I would be taking in every paycheck, it didn't add up to me getting tipped from every wedding. The food is good, but also ALOT just gets wasted, in theory whatever the guest don't eat, it just gets passed from the wedding party to the kitchen, and then thrown out. The decorations are beautiful but very very overused. I also received cat calls from some wedding goers, such as a man who told me to "stop working and come party with them" etc. I told the person who was in charge, Amanda, and she just brushed it off. It seemed like they cared more about the guest than the employee when I was obviously uncomfortable to walk near the man again. When I was "fired" I didn't receive any call, they just removed me from the app of which my schedule was on. They still haven't called me to this day, two months later. If you are looking to get married I highly recommend a nicer venue. read more

I just spent two days at the TimberLodge at Arrowhead for a conference. I have to say, I was sooooo impressed with the beautiful setting in which it took place. Not only was the environment inviting and uplifting, the room was quite spacious allowing for a separate area for vendors which overlooked the golf course. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. To top off my experience, the dinner both nights was outstanding with filets, salmon and chicken and tasty vegetables, potatoes and a salad. Not only did I attend the conference two days from 3:00 to 9:00 with my friend, but we then invited my husband and her son to play golf prior to the conference on the second day in the early afternoon. The golf course was scenic with ample ponds and streams. The staff at the bistro was so helpful and made the best hots and mules! Overall, we loved our experience at the Timberlodge and will definitely be going back and recommending it to others. Thank you to the management for accommodating the prophetic Freedom and Health Conference. Truly one of the best conferences I have ever attended! We will be back and will be bringing others! read more
