    French pork chop

Sat on the patio on a lovely Wednesday evening. Rita was our server and she was fantastic. Drinks are delicious. Entrees were very different and flavorful. The pork chop melts in your mouth and the char was fresh and perfectly cooked.

This is a good place for a special occasion, and it's located in a great area to walk around after a meal. It was a bit of a wait for a table for 4 people even though we had a reservation

First off- park in the lot on campus, surrounded by old buildings, but walk across the road to the modern looking building- this is where the restaurant is. Sitara and our hostess were both very friendly and welcoming. We were seated next to the fireplace but we were still a bit chilly so we kept our coats on the entire meal. Loved the creative and flavorful mocktail offerings. We got the charcuterie board (the price was hefty but so was the size of the appetizer!!) the filet, French onion soup, crème brûlée and chocolate mousse cake. Everything was delicious, the meat cooked perfectly with a flavorful gravy, but I do think the cake was bought frozen and wasn't thawed enough to enjoy- the top was difficult to fork through.

Celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary, I decided to surprise the Wife the a night out(no kids) lol... This place was so amazing! The aesthetics of the Inn is very unique and beautiful... We got a suite and the rooms were pretty big! The pictures I saw online didn't give this place justice! Overall I would love to stay here again! Everyone was so kind, the service was great and the Inn was very beautiful! We definitely enjoyed our stay!

This brunch is on another level. They have a quartet playing while you get your food. A QUARTET. They were serving up prime rib and lamb, barbecue pork mac & cheese and pesto chicken cordon bleu. Along with delicious waffles, bacon, sausage and the best quiche I have ever eaten. There's a whole charcuterie table and then a dessert table filled with the most scrumptious desserts we have ever tasted. This is going down as one of the best brunch spots of all time. They have seating inside and outside on the patio. You simply come here to experience this - only on Sundays.

We stayed overnight for my husband's 60th birthday. Just to stay in a different place. This place is a great place showing off the old time rustic place. Furniture all over the place is of great quality but brings out how the place was years ago. Our room was much bigger than expected and we had an actual key to get into our room. It is spacious and rustic at the same time. Bathroom was huge, wished my bathroom at home was as big. There was no fridge or coffee in the room, but there was a small room off the hallway that had a keurig machine, microwave and fridge. Only 2 small issues which is why I didn't give them a 5 star. If you expect to sleep in or get a good night sleep it might not happen. Though the window above the entrance door is cool, the light from the hallway lights up part of the room. Also there are no curtains on the windows, just slated blinds, so when the sun is up so are you. We also went to the lounge and they had a jazz band playing. It was a nice surprise as we had dessert and drinks listening to the music. Overall a nice stay and enjoyable night out.

I've lived in WNY for all but 3 years of my life (ok, plus another 4 years of college in CNY) but until today, I had never been to the Roycroft. Parking was kind of a nightmare and I was grateful the rain held off until the ride home because I had to park down the street and hoof it. The building itself is so large, I wasn't sure where the entrance was, and even when I found it, I was still a little unsure of myself. The bar is teeny-tiny but the lobby has a very nice sitting area and I could easily see enjoying a nice cocktail there. The concrete patio area is set up with tables and chairs for outdoor dining but temperatures weren't accommodating for that this evening. My dining partner and I had same-day reservations and it was nice they were able to accommodate us a little bit early. The table at which we were seated was huge - intended for 4 patrons - but I felt that the distance from my friend and the background noise from people at the bar and entrance of the restaurant made it difficult to hear each other. We both ordered the craftsman burger with add-ons. I asked for mayo to dip my fries, she asked for ranch. My burger was tasty & warm to temp upon arrival. My dining buddy's was cold. She ordered an IPA and I ordered the Resurgence Irish Red. I was disappointed that such a renowned restaurant had such slow service but our beers took at least 15 minutes to arrive after ordering and the food itself took probably another 15 minutes. Our reservations were for 1815 and we didn't leave until 2000. The final straw was our server, Mian, asking whose card was whose (since I had 4 burger add-ons and my companion only had 3) and our cards being charged with each other's meals. ‍ It was a matter of less than $2 difference, but a difference all the same. I may never go back but at least I can now say that I've been there.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND IT. We stayed 2 nights in the area for my husband's work. I was in awe as we walked in. The pictures dont do it justice. Around Christmas everything was decorated... great place to stay and or come to eat. Several fireplaces. Lots of seating. Noise level was fine for comfortably having dinner conversation. Holiday get togethers, birthday or date night. Food and service were impressive. We stayed here a few nights and i was impressed. For cost similar to regular hotel we got to stay somewhere very special. this historic hotel was so charming. I read its said to be haunted... if so the ghost is probably welcoming and friendly. The rooms were large. Furniture was heavy and well made with lots of tables and seating. Very comfortable. Great stay and would love to return. Food here was excellent just sad to miss their famous brunch.

I booked a honeymoon suite for my wife and I the night of our wedding and we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I would say the one draw back was that the walls are very thin and it was very easy to hear the noises of other guests in their rooms and out in the hall early in the morning. The next morning I had booked the brunch and would highly recommend! Endless mimosas, bloody marry's and poinsettias are such a great addition to the brunch menu u during the Christmas season. We enjoyed the prime rib, French toast and vegetable lasagna! I would say the service and ambiance was great. I would recommend an over night stay with the highlight being the morning brunch!

The uneven wooden floors, and the rough beams throughout the dining rooms is absolutely charming. Today we were seated on the outdoor porch to enjoy the spectacular weather! We ordered a small c&p pizza for our small boys, and a basket of calamari for them to share. Let's just say they're not quite ready for calamari, but the pizza they deemed to be quite delicious. My husband loves their broiled Cajun fish, fry so he ordered it again today. He got the baked sweet potato and mentioned how delicious it was. I went with the Greek Chicken Salad, a sheer delight with Greek dressing as well as tzatziki. The salad itself was built on a base of fresh mixed spring lettuces topped with pickled banana peppers, fresh grape tomatoes, sweet purple onions, sliced cucumbers. The grilled chicken cutlet was cut julienne and was strewn on top. Everything that I love in a salad. The plate was also garnished with a stack of baked flatbread triangles, which were nice and crisp! Two bartenders were waiting on the entire floor, and we noticed that they were busting their running back-and-forth. We applaud their dedication!

It was good but I'm a Chicagoan so I have to say I prefer the Italian beef sandwiches over this. Yes it was good and I'd probably get it again but if you grew up around here, it's a local fave. The place is like old rustic and had a nice vibe to it. Great service too!

That's not to diminish the meat and potatoes being served up three nights a week. You will literally step back in time as you ascend the single step up into the rustic bar. The ambiance is so thick you can cut it with a knife. The interior spaces are a warren of wood paneled, timbered ceilings, wallpapered rooms, carpeted floors, lantern lit and heavily decorated with early American memorabilia. The doggie decor in the tap room is interesting, especially to a dog lover like myself. We had been warned that The Dog Bar fills up fast, so reservations are strongly recommended. We arrived at 5:30 pm to a neat-capacity situation on a Friday night. We also had been warned that dinner service would take between two to three hours due to traditional cooking methods, no air fryers or microwaves anywhere! So let's talk about the much anticipated food experience. We sat for the better part of an hour with our glasses of water before our cups of soup arrived at the table. The salad course came along 20 minutes later along with a basket of muffins and some of the best buttermilk biscuits I've ever had. They were tender and moist, slightly sweet and fluffy with a nice crumble on top. The salad was not memorable. The Dog Bar must be doing something right! Every table was full, the place was slamming-busy on this evening. Many of the patrons seemed to be regulars, comfortable with the menu and the wait staff. I ordered the porterhouse steak, baked potato and green beans. My steak was done correctly, was tender enough. Nothing stood out, for example there was no fancy compound lemon-garlic cracked pepper butter, no sautéed onions. This steak had to carry the whole meal on its own. My husband held his comments until we got home. His fried seafood platter did not live up to his expectations. The thin fish cutlet was dried out during the fry process. He loves his coleslaw and potato salad, so this was a huge disappointment for him. We ordered a Peanut Butter Mud pie to split. It was delicious and it arrived at 7:30 pm. I can't say that we'd return. There are much better restaurants in the vicinity.
