Additionally, it was frustrating trying to get in touch with anyone in the office. More often than not, I had to leave a voicemail and wait for a return call, which was inconvenient. Today, however, was the final straw. My appointment was canceled because I was 6 minutes late. I had to use the bathroom before checking in, and when I arrived, I was told that if I had been just 5 minutes late, it would have been fine. I've waited longer than that for the counselor, so it felt a bit unreasonable to have the appointment canceled over a small delay, especially for a first-time offense. I'm not someone who condones tardiness, but this experience, combined with the lack of warmth from the counselor and difficulty with communication, has made me realize this just isn't the right place for me.

I've since been back for other services, and have nothing but wonderful things to say. From the front desk to the procedure room, every person is so wonderful. I was really scared to get hair removed, but Rebecca has been amazing through the sessions. I feel completely safe having her work on me, since she's had many years of experience and training. AAY also has medical services, as well, so it isn't just a spa for massages and Botox (which they do offer). I'm seriously considering shifting my baseline medical exams to AAY, and also getting treatments for some scars. She is fabulous. The office space is great. Every room is beautiful. They don't use the paper dresses. They have real cloth gowns that you wear for your visit. The baby wipes are heated. There are candles in the bathrooms. It's so clear that they care about peoples holistic wellbeing in this space. Why didn't I give it five stars? I've had some issues with billing (all sorted out, though) and with one of the aestheticians that was less than five stars (she's no longer there). I HIGHLY recommend this practice for anyone looking for a new gyno, especially for young women going to the gyno for the first time. I've had some rough experiences seeing other gynos where I didn't feel like I was treated like a whole person. That's not the case here. I felt deeply cared for. They also have a lot of other great services. Why not get a massage right after your annual?
