After living with the continued discomfort for an additional three weeks, the date came and I returned. Although I showed up early, I was taken 10 minutes late. Upon review of my case, but before examining my mouth, the hygenist indicated that she might not actually have enough time to clean my teeth. She set about doing Xray and checking the gums and having the dentist back in to check for cavities. She announces that we will have to reschedule the cleaning - and proposed the end of MAY. She is "booked". No one seemed to think that booking was the reason I *made* an appointment and expected to have this resolved. I have already made an appointment with a different dentist. Horrible experience. Totally unhelpful and completely unapologetic.

After speaking to the billing department I was given an estimate of $170. I had to Uber to the location on the day of the appointment. Once I arrived to the location, I was told my total would be $411, I left the appointment because I could not afford that amount at the moment. With no regards of my financial situation billing returned my call 4days later to tell me that I was unprofessional for leaving the appointment. I would never return to this place. What a nightmare. Outside of billing and customer service the dentist and dental assistants were actually pleasant. I had my wisdom teeth removed and a cleaning.

Always good care, after a deep cleaning years ago after…read moreI'd neglected my cleanings, they hardly have to scrape plaque at my 6 month cleanings (invest in the deep cleaning if you need it, go regularly if you can and do oral cancer screenings). Even when they couldn't do a cleaning because my blood pressure was too high, they sent me with the numbers and, after an emergency visit that day, I have a regular physician now that has my pressure under control for 4 years now. Sometimes a good dentist will lead you to get the 'other' care you need. I've also gotten crowns replaced, cavities filled for myself and kiddo, and staff is very kind. Also, we've gotten referrals to Great Expressions specialist offices for wisdom teeth (done), braces (didn't need) and for my grinding (cheaper to get mouth guards at them/dentist than the specialist). Overall good experience and I recommend this location on Mack in Grosse Pointe.
