We backed up to their roll-up door and turned to getting the arch off the boat. That's when things got interesting. It took my friend and me six hours of labor to get the arch off due to limited access and some creative installation practices by the boat manufacturer. While an interesting story (that included snaking a plumber's pipe camera in to guide a socket wrench) the real issue is the consideration and support of Kato staff including owner Keith and service manager Jim. They loaned us tools, commiserated, supported our unexpected overnight stay in their parking lot, and generally made us feel like our pretty small welding job was the most important thing on their agenda. Absolutely outstanding service and support. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

They did not even comeover to do measurements until two days after it was supposed to be completed as they said ours were not done correctly. Well, they had to come back a second time and do it. The project took an additional two days to complete after this and they presented us with a bill of $778. They also did not complete all the work. My husband had to drill and tap the holes to put the screws in that attached it to the deck plates on our boat. They were supposed to do this also. The owner is also very arrogant and condescending to his customers. DO NOT USE THEM- EVER!!!!!

At 8 AM the following day, I received a voicemail, an email, and a text message from the company stating that they were closed Monday and I should not have been allowed to make a reservation via their own website,. Obviously there would be a full refund, and they were very apologetic. I never received the refund and contacted them twice more during the next six days. Today I received an email from Benjamin. Tiederman stating that I would only be refunded 50%, which would not be received for another five days. This is fraud and theft, Along with basic incompetence and lack of ethics. I had to eventually submit a charge back to my credit card company, which will cost them extra money in fines instead of doing what they stated they would do. I've never left a negative review on any site so congratulations Annapolis electric boat rentals.

Oh, where to start…read more.. Two "repairs" on a new boat under warranty. First time, they supposedly replaced a part. However, didn't look like they had done anything. Surprisingly, problem wasn't fixed. Second "repair" went kind of like the first. Claimed to have replaced some more parts. Problem still wasn't resolved. They didn't seem to know what they were talking about regarding either the source of the problem or what they had done. Months later, I spoke with Mercury. Turned out AM PM never made a claim to be reimbursed for their work. That about says it all. Around the same time as they started "repairs" on the new boat, I asked them to pull the head on an old boat. There was a little water that had just started getting into one cylinder. Good chance it was nothing more serious than the head gasket. They took the boat in to their shop. Never heard back from them. Called a few months later to ask what the heck was going on. They said they hadn't even looked at the boat since they had taken it in. By that point, the engine was probably seized up from the water in the engine. OMG. Are these people idiots? Long story short, steer clear of these guys.
