I wasn't impressed with the language barrier, and I couldn't get a straight answer to some of my questions about their training. When I called RBBA, the woman I spoke with was extremely nice and I felt so much better about them than anyone else from the other places. I was looking for a studio that would teach our children not just the physical side of taekwondo, but the mental aspect as well. I wanted our kids to be more confident! Rockwall Black Belt Academy values the tenets of taekwondo...integrity, courtesy, perseverance, self control, indomitable spirit...just as much as the physical training. That was really important to us as we didn't want to enroll our kids at a 'black belt farm'. RBBA has the perfect combination of training and competitions, too, (if you choose to compete), so the kids get a taste of what it's like to compete against their peers. Win! We've now been at RBBA for several years, and we couldn't be happier. The instructors are AMAZING, they push the kids to their full potential, and they're great with the parents! However, after one class we were convinced this was the place for us. But, I wanted to give it some time to make sure it was a fair and honest review. Here is the scope: Senseis Lee and Matt are incredible and passionate about their instruction which shows in every aspect of their teaching style. Not only are my children stepping up their game and performing strongly but one can see that the children in their class feel a connection to the art as presented by the instructors and are progressing at a solid pace. The instructor-student dynamic is very engaging, and all students regardless of ability are treated with an equal amount of compassion, discipline, and respect which results in every class being a fun and serious karate training season that my girls look forward to attending. Classes are unlimited and scheduled throughout the week which is nice considering our schedule and +20 miles we must drive each way to attend (for us it is worth it). There are no high-pressure sales tactics or crazy 6 + month commitments like some other place (we have looked at a few). I went to buy a bottle of water for my son only for the owner to place it on the mat and assume that my son is a mind reader (he's in the middle of his session and is unaware). They get a break and the owner does not even tell him I brought in his water- I had to go and tell her and she still did not tell him he had water to drink. DO NOT bring your kids here- they can care less about your child if they can't even do something as simple as pointing to a bottle of water. This session was only $20 but I wouldn't even pay $0.20 to come again. No thanks I'd rather give my business to someone who would actually care about my kid.

This is the third swimming lessons school I have enrolled my daughter in, and it is the best. Three…read morethings make this swim school stand out- a progress card and the scheduling availability. Each child has his or her progress card that the instructor marks on, indicating certain goals that the teacher makes sure the student is progressing each lesson. This location had lessons in the morning and early afternoon, not just after school times, so we were able to get in a class that met our scheduling needs better AND was not with the after school crowd. And finally, you can cancel your lesson even a minute prior to the start time and receive a makeup lesson credit that you can use ANYtime! You don't have to wait for the "once a month on Fridays only" makeup lesson that I have had at other places. Aquatots Murphy is a keeper!

I booked Golden Grip Gymnastics about six weeks before my son's 3rd birthday. They were so much cheaper than everywhere else in the area, but my husband and I checked out the gym when we put down the deposit so I felt confident that the kids would at least have fun if nothing else! I had planned to bring my own cake and have pizza delivered, and although GGG provides tablecloths, plates, napkins, etc., I brought my own because I wanted everything to follow the theme of the party. We had the whole huge gym to ourselves. The gymnastics area was a BLAST for the kids (especially the foam pit), and then Corbyn led a group dancing game and we took photos of all the kids together (a great idea and something I never would have thought of to do!). The GGG team took care of setting up, handling the kids, handing out pizza and cake, and cleaning up. Corbyn set everything up on the tables, but was totally cool with me rearranging some things in order to make room for the pizza.  My review is not doing justice to the amount of hard work the GGG team put in and how much fun the kids had. I could not give a stronger recommendation for Golden Grip as a birthday party venue. Such a great experience, and depending on my son's interests next year, we'll probably plan to be back!

Run by a former Olympian, she taught her the basics and seemed to break it all down in a way my niece would understand. I had the privilege to observe a couple of classes in a great holding area for the parents and visitors. They have all the equipment you'd expect in a world-class gymnastics space, I almost wanted to go out there and do some of it myself but couldn't upstage those starry-eyed kids! As I understand it they also train the older kids who are Olympic hopefuls and have garnered some major awards in the various competitions across the state. He teaches both adults and kids, and it's fascinating to watch how he uses different Kung Fu techniques across age groups.
