He is very technical and informative. He knows how important it is to build a good foundation to prevent injuries and roll safely. Children do well in his program because it is structured. He has taught my daughter focus & discipline! The school itself is incredibly clean. Restrooms are extremely clean! Very nice mats! Nicely ventilated space! I highly recommend this school for both children and adults interested in jiu jitsu. I can't say enough great things about Professor Inacio and his school. We cannot wait to return.

Dan A. McKinney, TX…read more Jan 6, 2024 I began training with Professor Inacio and his most excellent coaches when I had accumulated 68.5 years of mileage in life. That ain't as big a number as it may sound like. I was surprised that my wife for those decades was supportive of my beginning at such a school. I assumed then that her enthusiasm had something to do with a large life insurance policy on me that was in effect at that time, 2.5 years ago. The policy is lapsed, and she is still supportive, so maybe not. I am not a fast learner in this domain, but I am a learner. Sometimes I can even coach a move or two with my workout partners. Usually, I'm the hapless nail, rarely the hammer. This is not a bad thing. It is necessary. The people who show up and continue to show up to train seem to me to define a psychographic group that is a group that you benefit by being close to. Do hard things and keep doing them. Then do them some more. Then do them some more. Special people congregate here. Right here. Things change while practicing this discipline. For me, positively but slowly. For normal people, positively but much more quickly. This is the place to train and to get as effective as situations may require you to be later.

I've also witnessed an increase of self confidence, assertion, focus and ability to follow instruction, not only in my daughter, but from every single kid in our belt level classes. Some progress faster than others, but definitive progress is obvious none-the-less. The ability of these instructors to instill those actions in kids is beyond what I've seen in other youth programs. Now, on to cost as referred to by some other reviewers. Yes, it's expensive. However, you get to go to an unlimited number of classes so you get out of it what you put in. If you go once a week, you'll get once a week value. If you go more, then you'll get more for your investment and see a faster development of skill. Every business can improve, and Tiger Rock is not immune to benefit from a tweak here or there. For example, they really need to pro-rate months like December when they're closed for two weeks. And I witnessed one communication snafu. But overall, we find a lot of value and growth in this program and plan to continue for a long time. Certainly deserving of the 5 stars.

He has been going there for a little over a year now, and completed the Tiger Club program. He has now turned 6 and moved up to the white/yellow belt classes. The main instructor is amazing with the kids... ALL of the kiddos. He has an amazing staff that assists with the kids. They offer classes all week long, and for a very low monthly tuition, you can attend as many as you like. My son is very excited to come home after class and show me the things he has learned. He was a bit of a hyper kid when he started, but I can definitely tell that he has matured through this program, and their instructors!!! They continue to impress us!! Highly recommend!

Not just for kids!…read more My sister (18) and I (24) decided to try this place out with a Groupon. Even though it says "Karate for Kids" on the building I read that they did adult classes, and it's next door to where I live, so I couldn't pass on trying it out. I'm glad I did! The instructors are top-notch, most if not all have been learning under Chief Master Sustaire since they were little kids, so they really care about the place. The instructors often break off and work with very small groups individually, and you don't ever really feel like you're just a person in an exercise class. My favourite part is the laid-back atmosphere. I was nervous when I started that it would feel like a bootcamp, but it doesn't at all! Yes, there are plenty of core exercises and the occasional round of push-ups, but if you can't do them, or if you fall half-way through, no one says anything. They expect you to try your hardest and they don't go all drill-sergeant if you stop your plank position 15 seconds early. They don't say anything at all, and it creates a very comfortable environment where you're trying hard because you want to, not because someone's yelling at you. HOW IT WORKS After the try-it-out period (I went on a Groupon that has since been discontinued, but always offer some kind of try-it-out special), you pay the flat monthly fee and you get unlimited classes. I go about 4 times a week, but as an adult, I have the opportunity to go up to 8, sometimes 9. Yes, they do continue to charge you for two months after you give them notice that you're leaving. You are expected to continue to come to class for those two months, so you're not getting robbed. I can't say that I 100% agree with this practice, but I understand why they do it. They want to rely on a consistent income, and they don't want people to quit just because they're having a bad week. I bet they get a lot of people who end up changing their mind and staying after the 2 months. ATA I know a lot of people really hate ATA (The American Taekwondo Association) and see it as one giant money grab. And there's definitely an argument for that. ATA schools (like this one) require that you have only ATA sparring gear, and the price for testing into a new belt is higher than some non-ATA Taekwondo schools. But I wouldn't let that turn you away. There are plenty of second-hand ATA sparring gear sets online, and the awesome personal instruction you get more than makes up for the occasional nickle-and-dime'ing by ATA.

Fun and you learn a lot, and they have a nice mix of discipline and caring for their studentsread more

The way my account was handled during lockdown and subsequently after is unacceptable. I had a credit on my account, I was not refunded, my account was canceled without my knowledge and then this location had a turnover of quite a few people and suddenly no one knows anything about how I was told my account would be rectified - they just stopped responding. Completely unacceptable for something that was beyond my control - a global pandemic. Way to take advantage of a loyal client, Club Pilates.

I killed three more today during my 50 minute class. One in the bathroom and two in the studio near my reformer. My name is posted on this review and yet no one from the studio has bothered to call me. We have complained in person at the studio and it seems that the only way to get someone to respond is by leaving a review. As far as the leather repair tape being a short term fix, please define what a short term fix is? Is it months? The reformers that were "fixed" have been in need of repair for months. Those holes in multiple reformers didn't pop up over night. I am glad to hear that you will be cleaning the studio but again, that has been needed for months. More importantly, it should be happening daily by a cleaning staff given the amount of people you have each day with there being at least one deep clean each week where everything is thoroughly scrubbed. Any reason for the toilet paper shortage?? This also seems to be an ongoing struggle.
