Ryan came to the house for a consultation for an installation. He told us it would take a couple of days or maybe a week to receive an estimate. Never heard from the company. I called one week later to follow up to see if they had an estimate. David told me they would get back to me and they never did. The company that recommended them to us, also contacted them, left a message and never received a return phone call, either. David and Diego saved us. You should absolutely book them. When we bought our first home we knew it was the perfect time to finally, after 10+ years, upgrade our TV. We were putting a lot of money into this old, mid-century home, trying to make it feel updated and tasteful, and wanted a TV and sound system to match. We chose the LG GX for its exceptional picture and flush mounting, then the Sonos Arc for its solid sound and minimal impact. In short, we didn't want any wires. We really wanted the whole system to just blend in with the rest of the home. Then we realized that this kind of install that we imagined was more precise than what most installers could handle. My wife and I are both in the film industry and really wanted exceptional picture and sound, but I told David and Diego that the litmus test for success is a person who doesn't care about any of that but who walks into the house, loves what we've done with the place, and notices how great the TV looks. In short, they really delivered. IT was a tricky install with a fireplace and some tricky wiring, they handled it all and is everything we hoped it would be. Scheduling and communication were great. I'd say they're price is a premium but so is the service. I spoke with at least four other installers and they were the only ones with the professionalism and approach that made me confident they could get it done right the first time without any compromises. WyreDreams is everything that professional service is supposed to be and I couldn't recommend them more. Contracting experience: My project is probably on the medium to the large side of what they do (CAT6 wiring of whole multi-story house, server room rack installation, all site security cameras). When I called it wasn't picked up and I left a message. Hours later David called back, apologized for not being able to connect for the first time, and told me that he'll need to be onsite (for free of course) to give me a fair evaluation of the project. He came out to my place within the next 36 hours and we had a great conversation over what I wanted, what he thinks the adjustment should be and accommodating several of my customizations. I'm an engineer myself and from the first conversation I can tell David knows the business, no upselling, no non-sense and gave me an honest (note not the cheapest like what you would get from many places) estimation with itemized cost. Crew: Let me start by saying, by the end of the project, I found the crew so cool that I can totally see myself hanging out with them, as friends. Nate, Sean, and the rest of the crew represent everything that I would imagine a professional crew would perform. Timeliness: the project spans several days, all with different hours scheduled (David planned the crew around my schedule), and every single day Nate rings my bell within 1minute of the scheduled start time. I actually kept track of that, in awe given how often people are late, including myself. Professional: crew knows their craft. None of the CAT6 wire is faulty, all wires are neatly laid in the crawl space and attic and the crew went above and beyond to find a route that minimizes the holes that they need to cut on walls. Nate even went above and beyond to help me re-wire the tv box so that it hides neatly within the rack, which is not even in the scope of the project. Tidiness: it's kinda insane cuz I honestly think they left my place cleaner than it was before. That probably just shows how messy I am but certainly demonstrates some aspect of the crew there. Let me end this review by saying, this is not the cheapest provider on the market but I 120% get back what I paid for. I contacted WyreDreams to get an estimate on installing in-ceiling speakers throughout the first floor of my home. In addition, I wanted to know if they could do tv installs with sound bars as well. After speaking w/ David ( the owner) for about 1 minute, I instantly knew that he was the right for this project. David was at all times great to work with. The install happened in two phases. First the prewiring and rough openings, and then second the actual install of equipment. David worked with me in scheduling the dates and always confirmed when work was going to get done. The WyreDreams' crew were great as well. The guys were always respectful of my house, and Diego, the lead installer, was checking in with me about how things were progressing. I appreciated that. These guys go above and beyond to get their job done even in the face of adversity. They were running CAT6 Ethernet cables and setting up a distribution panel for us while another group of separate contractors were working on other renovations for a house we were going to move into. They saw that somebody damaged the ceiling and reported to us first thing in the morning. Somebody in my family started sending angry voicemails, wrongly accusing them even though they didn't cause the damage. We later found out the other contractors had a kid who secretly got piss drunk and blacked out in the attic crawlspace, causing the damage in the process. Took the technicians only a couple of hours to perfectly install my 60 flat screen and Sonos sound bar over my brick fire place. We went over placement and ideas for a bit and that level of preparation was really appreciated. You kinda only have one shot when it comes to drilling into brick and those guy's understood that. It wasn't the cheapest installation but I think you get what you pay for when it comes to stuff like that - I'd rather pay a little extra to have it done perfectly the first time than cheap out and have it not be right. very poor work and business practices. received a quote to mount a TV and run some speaker wire. discussed what we wanted in detail (cords, number of them, power behind tv, etc). was difficult getting follow-up from them (red flag #1). on day of work, no outlet installed behind TV. instead they ran power cord in the wall (code violation). gaslit by owner that its "acceptable". get the final bill that's FIFTY (50) percent higher than estimate on a multi-thousand dollar quote. they billed me for more hours than they worked (i have cameras and know when they arrived and left), and they billed me for additional TV cables. explanation is they needed "slightly longer HDMI cables" than what they thought they needed in original quote. wouldn't you think to ask the owner if you truly run into an issue that's going to lead to considerable overages whether they want to move forward with a proposed change? low low low quality work. read more

I hadn't planned to use Dream Home Theater as I already had a TV-mounting firm booked for a "day of Dad labor" that I had promised my son Josh to help get his Miracle Mile condo more livable. Just days before D-Day my other team cancelled ("can do any day but Tuesday!") so I texted David at DHT and he, on short notice, agreed to mount two TV's using our mounts (picked up on Amazon). David showed up right on time and got to work, soon joined by his associate, Edgar. The two of them did a great job mounting 65" and 55" TVs that included running cables through the walls to inconspicuous panels near the floor. In one room there were TWO fire-blocks that they powered-through, but in a bedroom a chunk of drywall had to be sawn out as the fire-block was just impossible to reach. (Note to self: next time keep the piece of drywall for the purpose of paint-matching.) On my arrival at Josh's place I observed that he was running two ethernet cables down the hall and across the kitchen floor for his office computers, and I asked David if he could route new ethernet cables invisibly through some cabinetry into Josh's office. I didn't want a long-term perfect solution; I just wanted discretely-run ethernet that WASN'T ON THE FLOOR!!! David and Edgar did a fine job, and as they left all cables (power, HDMI, coax, ethernet) were all neatly in place. And the add-on job was done without having to call in a second (probably expensive) tech for a separate visit. Josh was thrilled, and we spent the evening marvelling at how great everything looked after the Dream team had left. "Hey, now I can get a Roomba!" was Josh's takeaway thought. read more
