After doing the intake over…read morethe phone, the technician came out and we were told there would be additional charges for what we wanted to do and that he did not do any drywall patching. The quote was then way more than what we were expecting so we didn't move forward with the work. We were then told they had a $75 cancellation fee - something we were never told over the phone. I've never had this happen before. Even with our other handyman, plumbers, etc. - if you can't do the work, you don't get paid for NOT doing the work. We were told that this would cover gas expenses - why take a job that is out of your network? They knew our address well before coming out. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job.

Out of frustration, I was determined not to cheap out and dug into the options. Ubiquiti had a solid reputation for quality and reliability, so I went about finding someone who handled their products. Yelp was a great resource and I narrowed down my choices to LA Wifi Guys, as their information gave me the most confidence. Made an appointment and David came out. Really liked his approach. Honest and transparent and not hustling me for upsells. He described my options clearly and it was easy to decide what I wanted. Not cheap, but very fair considering the higher quality solution and more experienced installation. It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. He also was great at explaining how to operate my new system. But most of all, weeks after the install, I am sooo happy with it! Really great setup with excellent user interface and excellent camera resolution. I've already shared videos and stills with the neighborhood (as we are having coyote issues), and it was so quick and easy to do. A+++ experience all around! Thank you so much, David!

They came to install a new PA system of wireless microphones and active speakers a week ago. This company is so DISORGANIZED from the time i spoke to the sales rep to schedule in person consult and install. They had me speak with 2 people before my appointment of which neither were the technician who came to do our install. The technician who came had a language barrier to speak fluent English and for our simple install he had to call another tech in guiding him to perform the service properly. Then the tech on the day of the appointment left to grab the brackets and cables required then took it upon himself to take a lunch break while he was out without informing us that he was going to have a lunch break as we waited patiently for his return to complete the work. Lastly, we called them a week later after completion of the install to ask them to advise us on getting the sound arranged for a more conducive sound experience because our speakers are only positioned for the audience to hear output and needed to have a solution for the performers to hear sound output as well for a professional arrangement l. This company COULD NOT even get a hold of a technician for us for a simple ask but instead kept giving us excuses WITHOUT a callback to discuss. This company is nothing but HEADACHES full stop!!!!
