He told me I would have to come in to talk to someone. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and he said no. A week later, I had some time to stop in, so I did. I was greeted by a woman and I explained what I was looking for. She told me she could not help me because they only help people who have appointments. I explained that I was told a well earlier that I did not need an appointment. She was equally as dismissive as the man on the phone and didn't even offer to make an appointment for me. Roger came into my home knowing I needed a simple repair and immediately started talking about…read moreripping through my walls and rewiring my house. The original number he came up with was something like 25K (for a call about a light switch). We seemed to have reached some sort of agreement; and since I'm facilitating selling my mother's house, I got them in touch. Things seemed fine with the lesser fix of 2K. Two weeks before the house goes on the market, I text him and he tells me verbatim "I'm not fixing your electric". Pièce de ré·sis·tance, he blocks my number. 1. My mom & stepfather flew out from CA and fixed the problem in about two hours (along with a bunch of other things him and his buddy Austin left halfway finished: those took several days). 2. I don't think Roger's even a licensed electrician, and if he is, he needs to go back to school. 3. And wouldn't ya know it, he charged me $150 to do less than nothing--He pulled out wires and plates, ripped off part of my door frame for some reason, and then just left them for me to deal with. I wouldn't let this guy anywhere near my house again.
