You can tell it's not just a job. My house was built in 1887 with a beautiful Victorian porch. It was embellished with scrollwork and corbels that wrapped around the side of my house in the curve. It's the reason I bought my house. Once the porch started to sink and some of the spindles and railings started to rot I called JD I construction. The only answer was to completely rebuild the porch. I truly believe they were the only ones who could have done it. This level of workmanship I thought had expired in the last century. I couldn't be happier with the result. All the corbels were completely remade to duplicate the originals from scratch. Now I have a sturdy beautiful flawless porch to enjoy for many years to come. They probably don't need my review. Much of the work had to be done by hand. They had a very efficient team come twice; once for set up and then when weather permitted the pouring of the concrete. Heard decent reviews about company , needed a smaller chimney replaced on my small cape home .. 2…read moreyoung guys came over , set up scaffolding , 1 guy on roof doing the work , took about 5 hours max ... tear down chimney and erect new chimney .. After job was done was told , need new flue ... after waiting for that estimate finally received it $2500 more after paying $2800 for the chimney ... Had that company come over beforehand look at chimney never told me it needed a flue ... Also they reused old tin cap and assembly on top and now it looks bent after reinstall ! Just can't believe $2800 for 5 hours work , what do bricks and a little mortar cost ? Grant it something I can't do , only because of my age ! Understand costs of running a business and making a profit and having a couple of 25 year old kids , I expected at least a whole new tin cap and everything new ... Should have been told about flue as when the chimney was first looked at .... All I can say do homework get a few more estimates ! Will get other quotes on a flue !
