Horrid experience. Got tons of attitude for sorting out the sub-par lumber (splits, warped, moldy…read moreetc.) and then was told "it wasn't worth it" to open the second pack of lumber because the ones I sorted out were "good enough." Wasn't worth a 6k order and years of my future business? I canceled the order at that point and then got a quote from a different supplier for 1.1k cheaper! What a twist. I also received Hardie from this branch that had tons of defects. One pack of pre painted Hardie lap siding arrived wet with out a cover after days of rain. If you read Hardie's instructions it explicitly states to NOT ACCEPT if the product arrives wet because it can mold and damage the product. They simply said it was fine because its siding and siding gets wet. If it were vinyl... sure. When you're spending thousands on supplies and want to protect your investment, that's not the kind of negligent attitude you want to be met with. I eventually got an exchange, but had a terrible time. 0/10 Would not recommend.

I tried 84 twice now. This latest time I called ahead to check for a router bit that the guy said…read morethey had. I found out when I got there they don't stock router bits, only typical metal drill bits. The first time I was there looking for plywood and found the other home improvement store up the street to have better selection, better quality (still junk but better junk like sanded both sides), and better pricing. I was told 84 caters to contractors with big orders and apparently that seems true. For a guy like me looking for 3 sheets of ply and a single router bit I'm forced to go to the other guys. It's also worth noting the place didn't seem heated at all. It had to be around 40 inside. I felt like any colder and I'd be seeing my breath.

We decided to build a trex deck for our new construction house. I did my research online and…read morecontacted several contractors before choosing Decks Decks Decks. The owner Bradley has been in the business for a long time and is a very honest guy. He doesn't talk much but really knows his stuff and stand behind his work. He is easy to work with, and accommodating to all the changes I requested along the way. Very good experience working with him and the crew. The deck turned out beautifully and is the envy of the neighborhood. One last thing, Bradley's business is so good that we were on his waitlist for a a few months. So contact him early in the spring or even in the winter for next year's project. My colleague told me you always want three things from your contractor: quality of work, reasonable price, and getting the job done as you wishes. But you can never get all three of them. So we pick the first two and waited for his schedule to clear :)

Beware, this company has gone down hill. I hired Bradley Kemp to build a trex deck for me. The…read morefirst issue was that it took a week longer to do because they were short on help. Upon completion, I had issues with uneven boards and some coming up and a gate that wasn't installed right and wouldn't shut. They did come back to address those issues. My main issue is the fact that i have a section on each side that has privacy fence in place of railing. I didnt realize until the first time the wind blew it apart and I contacted Bradly, that the fence is not trex but another brand. I bought new brackets and hardware to rebuild it and have since rebuilt it 3 times luckily having bought extra materials. I now have 2 fences blown apart. I talked to Bradley, the owner and he said he doesn't use that company anymore and that he would come by in the next day or 2 to look and see what other options I have since that brand is obviously not good quality. He has never come by and the only thing i have gotten from him is a text asking if it is an insurance claim. I said no, given i have a $1000 deductible and wouldn't think it would exceed that. I have since heard nothing after having called and text him about 7-8 times in the past 3 weeks. What really disgusts me is that he knows I have 2 small children and it being a safety concern with it being a 2nd deck. Guess there wasn't enough profit in it for him to help a customer in my situation and was hoping to juice an insurance company for alot more than its worth
