We walked around talking about different way to figure out what was causing the smell and he "I'm going to just walk around and check things out" within 1 minute he yelled out "found it". Under the sink in the bathroom and vent check valve was missing. The contractor plumber never installed it when the house was built 2 years ago. He said he could fix it right now and gave a very reasonable price. I said go ahead and within 30 minutes he had fixed a problem I had been dealing with for the last two years. He was very knowledgeable and even found a pipe that was not glued when he was installing the valve and fixed that as well I would highly recommend this business for their expertise and value for what they do. Even when he ended up realizing that there would need to be additional work to be done that would come at an additional cost to me, he made sure to talk me through my options, he made recommendations, and never forced me into anything. Instead, he worked with me to find solutions that would result in a safe, quality deck and also at a cost that I could manage. An 8' piece of (very accessible) pipe would need to be replaced with estimate of $2500!!! I asked how they could justify that price - they said, "we're not as expensive as some companies." I said how much do you get an hour? $400/hour! AND $450 for 8' pipe. We said, no way!" Had job done with new pipe - and inspected by gas company - for $800. Buyer beware of these guys. They also offered to replace our "stack pipe" - drain pipe from upstairs fixtures - for $14K! Why? Because of a leak at the bottom of the stack in the basement. To be fair, though outrageously expensive, they have done decent work for us in the past.
