Stopping in for the first time Max and Isaiah I needed my Glock 19 Gen 4 serviced and cleaned before a shooting as I haven't shot my firearm in over 3 years. It was comforting to hear that my gun hasn't seen rougher days compared to other guns out there and it would be safe and efficient at the range. Max was the star of the day as he was able to clean my gun as a courtsey to ensure that I wouldn't have any issues on the range. I'm glad that I was able to visit the X Ring Supply gun shop for the first time and have a positive experience. Service was quick and friendly, chatted with Isaiah and Marla while I wanted and the gun felt fresh and ready to pew pew. But after a week I called and found out it was never in stock, waited over two weeks for delivery because the postal inspector flagged it due to the way they packaged it..... during this whole thing i was spammed with junk emails. Called about 30 round AR mags. The guy on the phone said they have them and then asked me if I have a Delaware conceal? I said I'm from Maryland and I have an Utah permit. He said he can't sell me those 30, only 17 round. So I called 3 other gun stores in Delaware and they ALL said come on in, we can sell them to you, you're not a Delaware resident. They said xring is not interpreting the law correctly. So I spent the extra gas money and went there. I wouldn't deal with this outfit again!!! read more

Terrible gun store. Rude associates. Insanely high prices. No greeting upon being buzzed in remotely through the front door. I had a shotgun shipped here 1 month ago. Come back to browse more guns, and was treated like a P.O.S (also bought a used AR-15 which ended up being extremely dirty and they still sold it to me).. and I also transferred 3 other guns here) their staff is never the same people and treat you like dirt. This place is the go to spot for handguns in the area. They have anything you need and they have good prices and a knowledge staff. It is a little intimidating going into this spot and it can be frequented by some whacks a doodles but be patient, the staff is very nice and pretty neutral about their opinions. I bought a gun there a few years ago that they had to order and ship to me out of state. Easy peezy! They even knew a gun shop in PA to send it too. Couldn't have been more pleasant. Warning, the shop is small and unassuming so it is easy to miss and on a Saturday go early, because it gets busy. read more

I just moved to Delaware and wanted to check out some local gun stores. I did a little research online and this place seemed to have the better prices in the area. I went in with some cash to spend but not knowing exactly what I wanted. The people there were happy to show me 10 or 15 firearms before I decided which ones I wanted. Good selection of handguns and rifles, lots of ammo and accessories, the people there were happy to talk to me about ranges in the area, Delaware gun laws, and answer my questions (which I had a lot of). I stopped in to look for a handgun, the staff was very helpful (thanks Seth) when I was considering purchasing an XDm .40. They had it and Seth was very helpful and let me know about the handgun and his personal choices. I walked away to look around and came back two days later and it was gone (My Loss). I then purchased a XDm 9mm out of state and had it transferred to X-Ring (without asking first - Sorry Guys)and they didn't give me crap like other gun shops. If you are not one of their "good old boys" you will not feel welcome here. Walk in when they have a few of their regulars there and you feel like JayZ at a Klan rally. I bought a gun from them with no problems. I was the only person in the store at the time. I went in two weeks later to buy another guy and there were two or three of their regs at the counter yapping away. If everyone was not eyeing me down I would have thought I was invisible. Cost them a $1200 sale. Gun shop guys and retail service almost never mix well. Gun to TSS, Cabellas, Target Master or almost anywhere else. read more

Disappointed.... I bought a Mossberg 500 when I got it home it would only load 2 of the 5 rounds it should have been able to take and was so dirty it took an hour to clean. Hard to believe a reputable gun shop didn't break it down or test fire it before selling it. read more

The gentlemen here are professional and polite. I never once felt uneasy or pressured for either of the two purchases I made as a novice firearm owner. They helped me purchase my first firearm without pushing any political agenda or selling me something I didn't need. They suggested I got a great starter pistol which Ive since fallen in love with. This is it. The staff are helpful, friendly and willing to give tips and pointers to people who don't know anything about guns. Unlike other gun shops in the area, they don't sell stuff for hunting and fishing. The sell stuff for shooting. Guns, ammo and accesories. They don't sell camouflage, they don't sell rubber worms and live bait. If you are a shooter, this is where you go. If you use your gun to help make your living you go here. If you use your gun to help defend your life or the life of your loved ones you go here. This place is awesomesauce on toast. They keep a good inventory of new stuff and their used firearms are all listed on their website. You don't need to cruise by a couple times a week to keep current on their used inventory. Just check their website and it will be there. If you see something you like, call and ask them to set it aside until that afternoon. Great service! Buy something there and they'll help set it up. They have a gunsmith who they refer business to in case something gets seriously sideways with your shooting iron or you want an upgrade. Stop by and see how they operate, it's a breath of fresh air. Average gun shop. Skeptical of you and quick to blow you off unless you become a regular. Gun shops tend to get a lot if know it alls with a story so at least these guys are civil with you. Regulars can get much more personal attention sometimes at the expense of the guy waiting to just buy ammo. No hassle kind of place, they aren't gonna wow you with customer service. Bought guns from them, had them transfer for me too. Each transaction has been smooth. If you ask for a gun they don't have, they'll write your name down on paper but don't ever expect a call when it arrives, they are great taking the request just not good following through with it. I just go cause it's convenient. When Cabelas opens at mall, X-Ring will begin the sun setting process. Lack of customer service will catch up with them and their high prices will have serious competition. I'm all for small business but customer service, customer follow through, and reasonable prices will prevail. read more

I've been buying most all of my guns here since i've lived in De. If i didnt buy it here it's just because it was an impossible gun to find, and someone else just happened to find one. I don't really agree with the previous review. Cabelas will not be the end of this shop. they charge full blown retail for a gun, and you have to take a number and wait for a while just to look at something. Cabelas is good for window shopping only of guns. Yes there are alot of regulars, and you can get alot of good information from them, as well as the employees. The guys that work at this shop have a love for firearms, so its not just a job for them. It may seem like i have a vested stake in this shop, i dont I have just been treated like crap at Millers, and Shooters Supply, and just making sure the right word gets out about these guys. read more

I bought a gun which had a barrel damage. I did not really check it because I trusted them, and it was in a box, and since I bought from them before. Well, the owner would not take it back or allow to exchange it citing a policy on military rifles. So, if you buy from them beware, check and double check your purchase for defects. read more

Like fletcher said, highly unfriendly staff unless your in there every week spending your pay check. Expect to be talked to like a your a child. I've been a regular customer of this gun shop for over a decade, and the sales associates are knowledgeable about firearms and can order about anything you desire, so long as it is available from their distributor(s). Honestly, some of my most prized collectables have come from this shop, as you never know what suddenly appears in their used section. Their new policy of holding a firearm for one business day upon request makes it easy to purchase something viewed on the internet without having to be at the shop the moment it is placed in the gun case. The co-owners are passionate about customer service being number 1, and it shows. It is also nice to see a young woman as a sales associate in the shop, as women carry and shoot guns too. It is also a venue for socializing with your neighbors, as this is a true example of a family owned business where the people who work there live in the same community as you do. Toby Keith has a song "I love this bar." He needs to write a new song entitled "I love this Gun Shop." read more
