After almost 20 years of patronage, it's time to officially close the book. Yesterday, my partner and I overheard an angry customer arguing with an employee at the counter. At first, I assumed it was just another minor dispute, but it quickly turned into a 15-minute exposé on how this business actually operates. I can confidently say I'll never be coming back--and honestly, I don't know how I didn't catch on to this sooner. Apparently, not only do they not check IDs (they never checked ours), but they haven't been checking them for "years and years." It's deeply disturbing to think that at minimum a few minors--underage individuals--must have made their way in every year. With that comes a strong likelihood that the business didn't just fail to stop it, but effectively welcomed it by simply not caring. That alone should alarm anyone. I've only ever seen the arcades from the outside while heading to the bathroom (and yes, that detail matters--more on that below), but this argument really opened our eyes to what's happening here. There are no chains, doors, or barriers at the entrance to each arcade. I've heard the same story over and over from countless patrons: someone will enter your booth--without knocking, asking, or announcing themselves--and some will not take "no" for an answer. The staff knows this, yet they do nothing about it. The only thing they appear to care about is money, not patron safety. Everyone knows what goes on at these types of arcades, including the staff, and that alone is a serious problem. After a quick Google search, I learned that the business is legally required to ensure that sexual activity does not occur at all. Instead, it appears the business got far too relaxed, the staff became a little too power-hungry, and they ended up pissing off the wrong person. The argument was a total mess. The employee talked over the customer, mocked him, and refused to listen. It went on for quite some time, with the employee only digging himself deeper. Eventually, the employee told the customer to leave--and as the customer was doing so, the employee yelled after him, daring him to call the police: "Yeah, go ahead and call the police, and we'll tell them what you did back there (the arcades)!" That exact moment is when X-Spot lost my patronage of nearly 20 years. The employees clearly know exactly what happens in the back. They live it, they breathe it, and they clean it up. It's not a glamorous job, but throwing it back in a customer's face as if the customer alone is doing something wrong--when X-Spot has created the environment for it, does nothing to stop it, and worst of all encourages it--is unacceptable. If, by the employees' own standards, people aren't supposed to be doing "that" back there, then the employees and the company itself are just as bad, if not worse. I count my lucky stars that I happened to be there at that exact moment, because it exposed the carelessness, the corruption, and the ego of a company that truly does not care about its customers and, in practice, treats them like garbage--they just hadn't been called out on it before. Even as a customer who mostly came in for O-rings, lube, and other supplies (which are honestly a bit overpriced), I've received attitude here. I just didn't realize how deep it ran. PS -- and this "minor" detail actually says everything: This place has never had soap. I'm not exaggerating. There is a restroom--one that's only open occasionally--but it has never had hand soap. There is no way to wash your hands. Let me be very clear: this place has no basic sanitation. If you've ever encountered a restroom without soap, you usually tell an employee and it gets fixed. Here, they tell you no. They do not supply it. They will not fix it. Why? Why is this one of the only places that seems to intentionally withhold soap from its bathrooms? (Now that I think of it, they've never offered paper towels either.) That may sound like a small thing, but it perfectly reflects the larger issue: a business that simply does not care about the people walking through its doors. At the end of the day, we were forced to confront an uncomfortable conclusion. My partner challenged this idea the entire ride home, but by the end, we both had to agree: we believe this treatment is rooted in the fact that we are gay. We've been duped. These people are no ally to the community. We'll be taking our money somewhere else. read more

I went to this place about two in the morning, very mellow, cool crowd. The arcades are clean and free to get in which you have to pay to watch the video but amazing place. I don't mind being in the booth and somebody peeks in or ask as long as they were respectful. read more

This place would make hundreds of thousands a month if they weren't closed daily from 2-6am everyday doing absolutely nothing but harassing a full parking lot literally no place to park and no business to enter. It is such a shame that this place will Inevitably close because the ppl working are literally SO RUDE AND ALWAYS CLOSE DURING PEAAKK BUSINESS HOURS!!! Always. Whenever the parking lot is full the ppl working have the Doors locked not for 30 mins but 4 hours. And the second ppl come in the workers start harassing everyone. I hope they change the staff cuz they would be making bank (hours later I watched a parking lot full of paying customers leave because doors are locked. read more

Went to this place to check out the arcade and was harassed by this heavy set Hispanic guy with glasses. He watched my every move on the camera. Pretty much being racist & saying sassy remarks. The service here is creepy and moody . - i drove here from Arcadia because they are open late but after my 2nd visit I strongly believe the old man working here is doing drugs he is manic and yells at you "their closed" when you 1st walk in (you can't really understand him) then tells me to go ahead and shop? He starts stalking me from the you cameras & yelling at me when I would read a product because I was "taking too long and looking at too many items" he made me very uncomfortable and I ended up leaving after he kept harassing me. I was trying to make a whim purchase & I didn't have a set idea of what I wanted but I had $300 and it went to Amazon while I sat in Xspots parking lot. read more

Good gay cruising spot around East LA/Pico Rivera. A very quick n go to do. Have different screens to watch alone or... If you want company they will knock the door as soon as you walk in. I went in the other night just to browse. I'm hopping to heat up my marriage of 19 years. I felt no pressure from pushy salesmen. I felt comfortable enough to talk to a couple that was shopping at the same time. Overall I had a great experience. I will definitely be going back. The cashier/product expert that helped me was named Isreal. The guy was so cool, friendly and very knowledgeable about the products. Maybe he was bullshitting me but I really appreciated his input and happy disposition. I want to tell Isreal that the product I purchased did everything he said it would do. I decided to stop here and watch some movies and it was about 2:30am. I put $5 in and about 5 minutes later i hear this yelling we are closed you have to leave. I told him I put money in and still have time left and said he don't care I have to leave. I know there is a sign that says they close from 3:00 to 3:30 but this was 2:40 when they started kicking everyone out. I told the guy you need to change your sign if your going to be closing early. Not only do they kick everyone out at 2:40 but the other worker said you can come back at 4:00. I said it does not help when you already paid and then I have to pay again at 4:00. This spot is legit! Has so much stuff in stock also as soon as you walk in it smells (Clorox. Not too overwhelming) and looks clean. The arcades have no doors though (they got this weird "s" shape walls for privacy), and only one person is allowed. Two older guys where chill very mellow spot tbh. Ohhhh and the dvds are newest I've seen. They've got brazzers! Didnt have a sleeve I was looking for so I got this instead. Good pricing as well. read more

I was very offended by the guy who was working here! I asked him question and he said to me and my husband well just read it is simple as that you do do bird. Selection for sex toys isn't too big but they have a good selection. They have a lot of items that you would find at other sex shops but the price is lower. Place doesn't look the best inside or outside but it's discreet and they stay stocked on items. I like this place. read more

He picks and chooses who can go in and out as he chooses and feels some sort of power trip when telling you to leave (yet he's on Grinder while kicking people out..go figure). read more

Good place for gay cruising but the store clerk who works Saturday and Sunday day shift needs to be removed. He's rude and constantly harasses customers to put in money in the booth even when just arriving and heading into them. He has terrible customer service skills. He went as far one time in telling customers in the parking lot to leave. He should not be working in customer service of any kind. read more

I was here a few hours ago and they have a lot of toys to choose from. There was a lot of men walking the parking lot and the cashier was very friendly and answered all our questions. The other guy some light skinned guy who white hair was cleaning constantly and he mop inside our booth when the light was on. We told him can't you see the light is on. And the mop was black and it smelled like rotten eggs. We saw why he was cleaning the booth with the same mop without putting it in the bucket and ringing it. That's plain nasty he was just moving the sperm from one booth to the other without disinfecting it. And the booths were wet all of them. We told him to please not do that it's unsanitary and that's plain lazy. He said he doesn't care and that we were dikes. We talked to the cashier he said he was sorry and when we asked why is this cleaning guy like this. He said he has tried to talk to him but he doesn't care. Oh and one more thing we saw him falling asleep the cleaning guy maybe that's why he cleans like that. read more
