That matters. Because we all know how often women are gaslit, dismissed, or punished for speaking up- especially when we confront power structures that would rather protect their image than their integrity. So to every woman who saw what I saw: thank you. You validated the truth. You made it known that I wasn't alone. This is the dirty work- calling it out and refusing to be silenced. Though the emoji reactions were reset because I updated my review, the impact still stands. Photo included. ----------------- In response to their public statement - here's what they're leaving out. And the receipts. I wasn't going to respond but the level of gaslighting, dishonesty, and audacity to act like being a "premier" club gives you permission to treat clients like they're beneath you- that's exactly the rot at the core of your brand. Clearly I struck a nerve, since you chose to respond only to my review, while ignoring others with similar concerns. I was charged $336 for a month of access and then banned days later with no paperwork, no warning, and no refund until I followed up myself. Their claim that the refund was issued "as a courtesy" is laughable. It's illegal in California to take payment for services you won't render. Let's keep it real: Had I not demanded my money, they would've kept my money. That's not courtesy. That's theft. Even more outrageous? They publicly claimed there was no accusation of me receiving free training. When in fact, in their own email dated June 30, they explicitly wrote (Photos included below): "Whether formal or informal if you are working with a professional, you are receiving uncompensated services... Those sessions were not permitted." And again, you went even further: "Your complimentary workout sessions were not limited to one incident." That's direct accusation, twice. So which is it? Because if you're going to lie publicly, at least make sure it doesn't contradict your own written words. I'm embarrassed for you. I'll leave the emails here so you can refresh your memory. The receipts speak for themselves. Worst part, the harassment I reported was labeled "disruptive." Instead of addressing the behavior of their new general manager (who stalked me and gossiped about my personal life), they retaliated and victim blamed. It's abuse of power. It's ugly and disgusting behavior. And as for the wild claim that I make "malicious accusations across multiple businesses"? Go check my review history. I leave thoughtful 5-star reviews for businesses that treat people with respect. When I call out bad behavior, it's always backed by evidence, JUST LIKE this one. They're so upset I told the truth and didn't back down. Stay mad. Bottom line is: There was no inappropriate behavior on my part. I reported harassment. I asked for a refund after being charged while banned. I stood up for myself and they hate that. This gym does not care about member safety, their response doubles down on being dishonest, gaslighting, smearing and retaliating. I stand by every word of my original review and clearly I'm not alone. Now I have even more proof to support it. Screenshots available on other platforms if Yelp filters this.

It's a great spot for your classic gym work-out's, but also as a change in pace for those who work from home (there's a separate work space where you can also rent out private room). Noise level is typically lively. Parking in the main lot is difficult especially after work or at noon (during weekday's) and is generally packed during the weekend - of note, there's an alternative parking lot to the side of the main lot for Bay Club-specific parking (approximately 5min walk). SERVICE Service was friendly, overall, as you're typically greeted by those at the front desk, which is lovely. I'd say there is room for improvement for my tour/meeting with the membership director when I first looked at Bay Club Courtside, as it felt that my question's were more of annoyances and that he wanted the meeting to be over with sooner than later. STANDOUT DETAIL What stood out most to me was the overall atmosphere and vibe - it feels like I'm going on vacation to a resort everytime I enter (rather than a gym). I've never paid a monthly fee for a gym until now, and I'll say it's absolutely worth it! Overall, I'd highly recommend Bay Club Courtside!

But issues have come up as a result…read moreof a big push to increase membership that are making certain pain points more painful for members. Parking Lot: This has been a big problem for a while. While I get that they "have plans in the works" to help remedy the issue, what I don't understand is why they block an entire row of parking spaces - including a handicap space(!!!) - all day for kids summer club drop off and pick up. I find it hard to believe that there isn't a better solution that doesn't include removing the availability of so many parking spaces. At peak times it's like The Hunger Games trying to find a spot. They've been very aware that the parking situation is bad, but they pushed to increase membership numbers without a plan in place first and now everyone is being inconvenienced. The other issue is the members themselves. I'd say the vast majority are wonderful and polite, but since the push to increase membership I've observed more rude and gross behavior. Members getting in verbal fights with other members, classes being overcrowded and causing aggravation because of space issues, etc. Locker room behavior ranges from people behaving like slobs and leaving towels on the floor versus putting them in the bin when done to cell phone conversations in the locker room to using hair dryers to dry underwear on the vanity countertop. These are things I'd expect at a budget gym, not at Courtside. I know they can't police poor behavior and hygiene but this is the result when you allow adding more members at a much lower rate to a main member's account. I get that it's expensive to operate these kinds of facilities. But for what I'm paying I am beginning to wonder if the grass is greener (and less expensive) elsewhere...

The Los Gatos Rowing Club (LGRC) is maintained in cooperation with Santa Clara County Parks & Rec, and provides rowing opportunities for youth and adults in the South Bay and beyond, including Santa Clara, San Jose, and Santa Cruz regions. The Los Gatos Rowing Club is a California non-profit {501(C)(3)} corporation. Currently, with the exception of the coaches, volunteers do all of the club's work. HISTORY of the LGRC The LGRC has started on Lexington Reservoir in 1979, and trained over 2500 student athletes to date. The LGRC alumnus participated in the Olympic and other world competitions. Both competitive sweep rowing and sculling programs are offered as part of the adult masters program. LGRC's junior rowers won multiple national titles. LGRC provides summer camps and classes for middle- and high-schoolers, as well as adults, together with Santa Clara County Parks & Rec, within various outreach programs like Wounded Warriors and Row 2 Recovery (for cancer survivors and their caretakers, family, and friends). The old boathouse that used to be on the dam for 10 years since the LGRC inception was destroyed in a fire. A group of dedicated parents and coaches raised loans, grants and donations to finance acquisition of land, build new boathouse and buy full set of new boats and equipment. The club used a temporary boathouse of storage containers while all these efforts were underway, over a period of about 1.5 years. New boathouse that is currently in use on Alma Bridge Road overlooking Lexington Reservoir was completed in 1996.

Believing in your team mates is everything. Hence, the purpose should be to make the fastest boats. Unfortunately this program appears to be more focused on revenue generation. Kids that have been rowing for months are all of a sudden teamed up with newbies who don't know what an oar is. Kids don't show up for practice on a regular basis and because the focus is to keep the money coming in, the coaches acquiesce to the kids and blow it off.
