Instead of showing compassion or offering alternatives, they dropped her altogether. If you're looking for a law firm that understands the realities clients face while recovering especially those dealing with injuries and therapy this may not be the place. The lack of empathy and support was shocking and unprofessional. Clients shouldn't be penalized for asking reasonable questions or accommodations during an already difficult time. He told me to get estimates for my leaking roof and water damage. Not having anybody to help, I had trouble finding somebody to come out and give me estimates. I spent the first half of 2022 trying to work with my condominium association on a resolution. In May of 2022, we thought we had a new roof installed which they paid for. The roof started leaking again in December 2022. I had a roofer come out to look at it, and he discovered there was no new roof installed. The roofer pulled a scam on us and only patched the old roof. I called Mr. Cushing back to see if he would be interested in taking the case. I told him my mother and I are both disabled, and really need help with the situation. He told me to get another referral and hung up on me. There were only two attorneys participating in the Low Fee Program at the time, and the other attorney wasn't interested in taking the case either. Of course a full price attorney has taken the case. Don't participate in a program for low income clients if you don't really want to be bothered with their cases. Considering the other reviews, I think Mr. Cushing did us a favor.
