I have been going here for 12+ years and I now live in Phoenix and can't find a barber who can cut hair and beards as well as Xavier. When I come into town I book time to get a good haircut. Went there a total of 3x.... PLEASE READ 1st Time going into a new shop is always a "feel" for the barber. I went there based on reviews and said heck why not, Javier did good with the fade and ONLY uses straight blade razors which I was ok with. He stated that electric shavers are NOT a proven tool utilized in the barber industry due to how close it gets to your skin and if the person before you has a pimple the electric shaver will pop it and that will transfer on to you... makes sense BUT... Have you ever felt a blade and slide your thumb left to right to see how dull it was?? If so. This guy uses the dull side of the new blade to shave you leaving you a constant burn for the day. He does what he wants to your hair and leaves it with whatever he's comfortable doing. If he had a personality I'd keep going but feels he's gods gift to the barber world... Please provide your new customers with a better manufacture of blade and listen to the new generation of clients as we keep you in business during the summer time. I just had a hot towel head shave and facial shave and beard trim from Xavier and I have never been pampered like that before!! That guy is a real magician with a straight razor! My son and I been faithful customers for almost four years, Javier has been our barber since day one, he is a professional with over 25 years of experience. I go once per week, I get the VIP package, includes the haircut, straight razor hot and cold towel face shave, ear and nose hair removal, shampoo, a water bottle and a five minute shoulder and neck massage with an electric massager. Any man that has not had a hot towel shave needs to get one ASAP, it's one of the manliest ways to pamper yourself. Recently they complete a remodel and this place is better then ever. Now they have new comfortable chairs, a nice waiting area with Wi-Fi, a larger selection of products for sell including Johnny B products (my favorite gel). The reviews certainly do not reflect my experience. It was an okay haircut but none of the extras. The massage was 45 seconds with a hand held vibrating machine. I wasn't offered the full shave which I was looking forward to. It was a typical five minute in and out men's haircut. I would return but certainly with none of the expectations on these previous comments but more than likely I will find somewhere else that's less misleading. read more
