This review is slightly biased. So be wary when reading…read more Overall I am not a "class" person. I prefer to workout in my own. I am in very good shape and life weights three times a week. I wanted to try the Bar Method because of its lengthening effect on your muscles. I have the tone, now I just want to have a softer appearance. The staff is incredibly nice. Very accommodating, friendly and personable. The girl working the front desk greeted everyone by their first name, including my sister and I who were "in the system". I appreciated the staff's attention to detail. Our instructor made a point of introducing herself prior to the class beginning which helped my sister and I become more comfortable. As for the class itself, I took a bar basic class and was expecting a challenge but knew that it was still beginner level. During the class you would perform a set of exercises then stretch the muscle group worked. I loved that! Some of he maneuvers itself were difficult but over all the class was very easy. I left feeling like I could go do my usual workouts. I like the class overall, but if you are someone who lifts in the gym and is used to working out you maybe surprised at how well you can keep up.

It didn't take long for dance moms from other schools in the area to hear about Andrea's amazing pointe technique immediately after she landed here in Chester, NJ. Dancers improve so quickly with Andrea's teaching methods, you have to see it to believe it. Starting at a young age with proper technique is so much easier than having to relearn it properly. To share a personal story: one of my daughter's, who started dancing in diapers at age two, decided to stop dancing at the end of eighth grade. Instead, she cheered for both scholastic and competition teams in HS, but deep down I knew that she was not happy without dance in her life. We brought a dancer friend to meet Andrea during the summer before her senior year, and Andrea announced that she will be offering two dance tracks this year; contemporary and classical, and that my daughter should come and check it out. it was as if someone pinched her and said "go for it," and she said "I think I"ll try it." She has not stopped dancing since, and I am so grateful to Andrea for welcoming her back to her studio as a senior and helping to get her ready for college auditions. My daughter is proof that good solid technique is not forgotten, it's just put on a back burner for a little while until you are willing to go for it. Since she is in fantastic shape and was extremely enthusiastic about his workouts, we decided to give him a try. We couldn't be happier that we met Zeke! His workouts are rigorous, challenging, but fun. As the weeks go by, we are noticing how much stronger we are getting and how our endurance is strengthening. He makes sure each workout is never the same and that we target all the parts of our body that we want to work on. If you have an injury he works around it and is very knowledgeable on how to rehab it. He pushes hard so that you get the most out of your workout but knows when to stop so that you don't hurt yourself. You will be sore and cursing his name for days, but that is what you need for results....plus, he is the nicest guy and you can't hate on him too long :) For most adults over 30, we know that we cannot work out hard and eat whatever we want and still look good. Zeke is proactive about asking what you are eating and suggesting healthier alternatives. He will send you recipes, shopping lists, and even goes as far as getting supplements for you so that you have no excuses not to have them. Every summer the air conditioning breaks and every summer it is patched together to keep it going along. In the winter it's either too cold in the beginning of the class or it is to humid and hot by the end due to the fact that the climate control does not work and the owners refuse to get it properly fixed. They will sometimes bring a nifty fan in to hold over the weeks where there is no air at all . This location does not update the Ipads and they are very glitchy. Sometimes the Ipads reset themselves because they have not been properly updated and occasionally they will stop in the middle of the workout. When that happens, it throws off the recording of your distance. This is supposed to be a high-end boutique workout studio. There is plenty of competition around. Needs work.

It was always overpriced for what it was, but since the new owner the price went up, the quality sharply declined, and all the great staff were let go. Members were promised new equipment and upgrades when Jeff (the new owner) took over but the only new equipment I ever saw was a new register and credit card machine up front. The building and equipment is in need of some serious renovation and cleaning, unfortunately I don't see that ever happening. The locker rooms are dank, broken, and severely outdated. The gym equipment and cardio equipment breaks regularly and instead of being replaced is simply removed. There is also a serious mold problem which has only gotten worse. Word around town is that MHRC is having serious financial troubles right now which is no surprise considering how the new owner is running this place. It really is such a same because there use to be a great community of local members many of which have left and gone to other gyms which are few a far between in this area. Steer clear of the this place and drive the extra 5 or 10 to another gym or tennis club near by.

She does a great job motivating students to go deeper than they ever thought possible. The classes are challenging, yet there is no pressure to be perfect at everything. Erica has created a beautiful safe space for people to deepen their yoga practice. She also shows she deeply cares about her students and the community through the products she offers and promotes in her studio. I absolutely love taking the time to hop over to this lovely little studio!
