I ordered items from this store to take with me as gifts for my son's girlfriend's family members (which I am meeting for the first time) in Texas on January 29, 2026. I specifically ordered from this store because the site said that I would receive my items by January 22, 2026. On January 24, 2026, I sent an email asking for a status of my order; January 26, 2026, I sent an email and requested the tracking number; January 26, 2026 and January 27, 2026, I called the store and was sent to voicemail, but couldn't leave a message because the voicemail was full. So I walked up at 10:28, the door was wide open. The owner really rudely shoos me out claiming they weren't open. Now, it's heatwave weather outside and unfortunately I'm a rather obvious cancer survivor, and was carrying luggage. I'd heard this was a cool place to get post cards and look around... so I don't understand why I was pushed back outdoors. It says the opening hour was 10:30 so I waiting outside for 10 minutes before the sweating got the better of me. I'll just walk to the post office for post cards. read more

Came in here a couple weeks ago on a day trip from NYC. Tina was amazing! Super happy to support her and her shop! She had all the gifts I wanted (and then some) that Independence Hall had but cheaper. She was also so friendly and we had a great long chat too about where to eat, things to do when I visit next, how to get around etc! I was traveling solo and she was so caring and concerned for my safety. So very kind! Will visit her again next time I'm in town, if only to say hi haha! We had an amazing experience! The store was very clean with a large variety of candy and gifts. We bought a lot of items but didn't break the bank doing so We thought we were going to run in and grab some souvenirs; but we stayed awhile to chit chat with Tina. We had the pleasure of sharing stories; she asked us what places we already visited; then she gave us a map and showed us where to go and which streets to take while keeping safety in mind. This is a great shop. My wife and I stopped by to shop for souvenirs and had the best experience. The shop owner let us look around for a bit and I never felt rushed. When my wife asked about shirt sizes Tina was very helpful and went to get extra stock. We had a great conversation about Philadelphia and she gave us some great suggestions on things to do the rest of our trip. It felt like true genuine conversation as we were checking out and she already had our business. I initially thought it was strange that my wife wanted to go to this specific shop, but there do not seem to be a ton of places to get souvenirs in Philadelphia. Look no further! Literally the best Souvenir shop in the area! Prior to finding this shop, I visited 3 other shops and couldn't find quality souvenirs to take back home to my friends and family. Most of the other shops had low quality souvenirs and cheaply made tshirts... Walked in here and they had just about every souvenir and T-shirt I could have hoped for! On top of that, the owner was one of THE SWEETEST ladies i have met on my trip here. She told me about herself, the area, gave me a bunch of recommendations on places to eat, and sights to see. I found a lot of other souvenir shop owners to be kinda rude and not very welcoming. She was kind, wrapped all of my souvenirs, and placed them in a nice quality reusable bag. ***go to Philadelphia Old City Souvenirs a block away instead!!!*** The owner here at Xenos, Tina, was horrific to my partner and I in the store. Upon entering she was dealing with a couple and was very sweet to them -- helping with local recommendations and giving them discounts (similar to her 5 star reviews I've seen here, which made me want to support the business). After they left however, she immediately starting muttering rude comments about them the second the door closed. Her sweetness was a complete facade. As I approached an item, she yelled at me to watch out for her boxes on the floor. Then she told my boyfriend and I to hurry up because she had to close -- this was 35 minutes before closing time. I asked what time she closed, and she kept yelling that she had mail orders to fill. Again I tried to shake off how I was treated and look at other products, before she screamed at us again "HELLO HELLO I SAID I HAVE TO CLOSE." At this point I had given up and was standing at the till with my one small purchase, still trying to support her, and she rolled her eyes and threw my change on the table, before physically ushering us out of the store and locking the door behind us. I have never written a negative review in my life -- but please do NOT support this racist woman. If she gives you good service I guarantee she miserably is cursing you out afterwards as I witnessed today. read more

The lady that was in there was really nice and started conversations with us about school and the Philadelphia area. They had a lot of cute little things and also chocolate! Fantastic experience at Xenos! The owner of the shop (Tina I believe) was extremely nice -- I popped in right before they closed for the day, but she went out of her way to help me find a gift for my dad, and was also a great conversationalist. I recently moved to Philly, and she instantly made me feel welcome and at home. Because they were closing I didn't browse for long but they seemed to have a good variety of gifts (especially compared to other gift shops I've been to): in addition to standard souvenirs (key chains, shirts, etc.) they had a chocolate truffle counter (!). Will definitely be back to this store to check it out, and again, the owner is fantastic! read more

The asian lady who runs this store was extremly rude. She didn't even say hello and started to yell at us to go drink our drinks outside. Understandable but could have been communicated in much better way. Then she watched us like we came there to steal everything. Then my boyfriend and I talked about buying something and hugged and she started to yell at us to go kiss outside. We were not kissing I was even wearing my mask. She was very rude the whole time. I was very confused because most of the reviews are 5 star reviews then I noticed all the 5 star reviews start with "Tina is awesome, Tine (the shop owner) is friendly, Tina.... The lady who owns this shop is a true sweetheart!! She has great prices and a lot of things to choose from. She also is so friendly, she will help you find what you need, the right size. When I was paying for my items she asked how long I was in town, she gave me a map and HAND DREW another map with directions on how to get to a few places on my way to the airport. Hands down one of the best places we visited on our trip to Philadelphia! we stopped by to check out her collection of Rocky clothing.  The store had already closed, but Tina opened up and let us browse.  She was AMAZING. Similar to others, my family and I had the misfortunate to experience the store owner's rudeness. Based on pictures from other reviews, I surmise that the lady we interacted with today was the store owner, Tina. My husband and my two daughters (pre-teens, double digit ages, not toddlers) were out shopping for souvenirs, on the way, my children were finishing a cookie (each) they grabbed on the way. Given the new COVID variant on the rise, we have been wearing masks to go into indoor places. Just before walking into Xenos, my children stood outside to finish their cookies, so that they can put their masks back on properly before entering the store, since the store is an indoor space. When my younger daughter walked in, the lady immediately said no food. My husband and I both looked at her confused, because my daughter had her KN-95 mask over her nose and mouth, and it wasn't possible that she was eating. I said to the lady: "she has a mask on, she can't be eating right now". Again, the lady repeated her point of "no food in here". Then I also repeated that there was no way she could be eating, since her mask was on. Then the lady finally nodded. As my daughter takes a second step into the store, my daughter moved towards a trash can right inside the store to throw a tissue away (no more than one step from the entrance of the door; at no point had my daughter been able to interact with any merchandise), the lady at the store immediately told her that she must not use her trash can and rather instructed my daughter to leave the store, cross the street, and throw her tissue in the trash that is outside the Museum of American Revolution museum instead. I have contemplated whether she was simply having a bad day, but upon reading the other one-star reviews, it is clear that the store owner is sensitive to food and drinks. I understand merchandise damage is detrimental to small businesses revenue, especially when no precautions by patrons are exercised. I have also read her responses to the other one-star reviews, quoting spilled drinks being an issue and specifically, Red Bull energy drinks. There were no drinks in this situation, Red Bull or otherwise; there was also no food. There were two children eager to take home some memories of Philadelphia, but were left confused why they were not welcomed into the store and were not allowed to throw a piece of trash away. It was clear that we were not welcomed the moment we sat foot into the store. read more

Forget the high priced gifts at the visitor center and Museum of the American Revolution across the street, this is the place where you should get all your Philly souvenirs. The owner was one of the nicest people we have met while on Vacation here. She had a genuine conversation with us and even wrote down a place and address where we could get a great roast pork sandwich. Her prices were half the price of the similar items found in "official gift shops." I bought a Join or Die shirt I was looking for for $15.00. A similar shirt with less detail was $30.00 at the Museum of the American Revolution. Do yourself a favor and check this place out before you buy your souvenirs. I found this place near our hotel. A very cute well kept diamond in the ruff. When I first walked in I was greeted by a sweet lady who I later knew as Tina.
