I went to attempt to just return a modem. They said that it would be 30min because there were others ahead of me. I left and went to another xfinity location and it took less than two minutes to scan the barcode on the bottom of the modem and give me a receipt.

Voss Rd's Retail Sales Professional PARRIS JARRET, who researched our unexpected 24+ hour internet outage during our in-person visit last week to find out WTF happened to our internet on the late afternoon of 8/28/2024, who saved this rating from its more accurate 1-star ranking. I mean it. Just before 5pm, the sh*t just went out while we were streaming some online content as if it were buffering like it was the late 90s and we were on a dial-up connection. Going to bed without service at nearly midnight, I decided that I'd wake up to a restored connection in a few hours like last time (See my previous Yelp.). Uh, nope. I had to cancel my morning appointments on 8/29, none of which were pro-bono, btw. I spent the day accessing the internet through my smartphone, catching up on my emailed news digests and reading my web-based Kindle. By 3-ish in the pm on 8/29 and constant phone looping that prevented access to live customer support from Xfinity, we ended up visiting the S. Voss Rd location in search of transparency. We got PARRIS JARRET randomly after our names were added to the queue by the first staffer closest to the entrance. PARRIS JARRET was able to identify our issue through our account but could only access the information we could. He did an awesome job of sharing what outages like our mean, assuring us that our connection would be improved after our internet came back on. He also signed me up for Xfinity rewards and let me in on a good phone deal offer that would lower our monthly internet bill. But as I explained to Parris, I'm not the type who makes purchases after losing money for reasons out of my control, especially when I have no idea when I'm gonna start making money again. So, because of his own employer that he made look good, Parris lost out on making a sale. Nice one, Xfinity. Like Parris, we went home with no cigar. A couple hours later we got a J/K text stating that our internet had been restored, but it was only after another hour and a half or two hours that we were actually back up and running. Eff you, Xfinity. I'll be in touch to find out how I can complete the customer survey for Parris Jarret that he said we'd receive to rate his service after making you look worthy of an employee like him.

    I do prefer this location to others since it is located in City Centre and is spacious and clean. I…read morewas rather upset with the customer service that I was received recently. I walked in and noticed all 3 employees on floor was assisting another customer. So I just stood to the side patiently waiting. Then I proceeded to have a seat at a table. This whole time, (around 15 minutes) not one single associate even acknowledged me. I completely understand they are helping another client, but they didn't even bother let me know "someone will be with you" or "give us a moment". What really ticked me off the edge was the fact AFTER one associate was done assisting a elder Caucasian lady, the associate went straight to the back office. Then a couple minutes later the second associate did the exact same thing after assisting another younger Caucasian lady. Again, did not even acknowledge me. Trust me. I made sure they saw I was there and kept looking at them. I even saw another new associate poke his face in the window and looked at me. Finally I had enough and had to cut into the last associate there, asking if he could let his coworkers know I have been waiting to be helped. Not sure if it's because I'm younger or that fact I am a minority so they just wanted me to get impatient and leave. But as a paying AT&T customer, it would've been nice to be acknowledged. They didn't even apologize for the wait when they did come back. The associates that didn't want to help me did have the knowledge of the information that I needed. Therefore I am giving a extra star. However, did not appreciate the service. I was going to upgrade my phone that day, but after being so upset I decided to hold off.

I…read moreselected a new phone and some additional things, but the sales person couldn't proceed setting up the new phone because the security feature had to be off an hour. We agreed on when I'd return. When I did return, I was told that person wasn't there. I asked when he'd return, and Mohamed kind of laughed and said maybe 30 or 45 minutes...not sure. I asked if someone else could help me, and he said, "Maybe," again kind of laughing. I sat down to wait. Two more customers walked in, and he helped both. When he could tell I was growing frustrated, he came over and asked about the security feature and asked to see my phone. I slid it across the table. He said, "You're being rude; I don't help rude people" and walked away. He has a strange behavior...seems to think everything is funny. After almost an hour, I finally asked to see the manager. Ashley defended Mohamed, but she did get my things the first sales person had put back. I grew concerned about the time needed to make the transfer to the new phone. I had spent 4 hours going back and forth and waiting in the store for service with nothing accomplished. Customer service is the only thing a store has to sell, and this one is an epic failure in that!

I didn't like the work they were doing up and down my block, so I began looking at reviews as they started to do their work in front of my property. Of course, while reading bad reviews about their installation, they hit my gas line. Nicor had to come out to repair it. Nicor was quick and professional. They had my gas back up in a couple hours from the original outage. Now, Nicor is going to have to run a new line to my house. We'll see. If they come back and fix my lawn, I'll update this review to reflect it. I originally gave them one star and was harsher in my review, but so far they have been following up on the lawn repairs at my house and the surrounding properties. *Update - Ezee Fiber has reached out already, which is promising. **Update 2 - They showed up yesterday to check on my lawn repairs. Some looked good to ok, but a couple were looking bad. BUT, to their credit, they put down some fresh soil, seed and cover in the spots that needed more help. I did not expect that kind of follow-up, so I was pleasantly surprised.
