They just walk around (and on their personal cell phones) and you have to walk up to them to ask a question. They just read scripts and cannot think for themselves. This place is a joke! You can't talk to anyone in America. Then trying to speak to someone with limited English is frustrating. Then you finally get a hold of corporate office and you get the run around. Robert called today to tell me I was shut off for nonpayment. Never once in my life have I been shut off for a nonpayment. This was untrue. They refused to port my phone to another carrier. I tried from August 1-6th 2024. I finally had to give up and get a new number from the new carrier. Robert then says it was his mistake that I wasn't shut off for nonpayment. Already frustrated I had enough. Then he claimed my number was ported. If this was the real case I wouldn't have a new number. Which I had to change my whole life because of them holding my number I had for 18 years hostage. I didn't owe them nothing and they shut my line off. They kept charging my card even though I was no longer with them. Everything Robert said was a lie out of his mouth. I tried to change providers for a week. I had to use my neighbors phone to change providers because Xfinity was upset I was switching and trying to port my number so they shut my line off. I sat on hold for 8 hours with the new provider trying to port the number. Finally I said enough is enough. I asked for a final bill to be mailed because I no longer have an account. They just kept charging my card. Then I asked to send in the final payment so I have a paper bill to prove that is the last payment. Gabriella and Robert both claimed Xfinity doesn't take cash or check payments. How the heck can I pay my bill when I don't have a credit card anymore? Seems redundant to not take cash or check payments. Last I checked America isn't crypto only. I am so done with Xfinity. If you can switch to a provider that cares for their customers because Xfinity does NOT. It's a disgrace and a nightmare to deal with these people. This is the place I turned in my equipment to for internet. Mind you Xfinity mobile charges more than double if you delete internet service. I used to pay $45 for two lines and it went to $130 a month once I cancelled internet. I tried to port my numbers but they refuse to let go of your number even though that number was ported to them. Carl helped me today. I put this visit off for as long as i could. I tried calling Xfinity i tried navigating online portal. I tried everything. I was at my breaking point. If i had other options for networks I would have switched years ago. Today Carl helped me so graciously. He fixed every issue I had and increased my internet speed by 10x and is saving me $10 a month! I ended up getting some Xfi pods I'm excited to use to hopefully extend my new super speedy WiFi throughout the whole house. Which ended up being cheaper than mesh extenders off Amazon. The first few months I was with xFinity, I had to go back into their office (the phone system was a joke, couldn't get anything done) and get them to lower my bill to the amount I originally signed on to. I used their service for a couple of years. They kept raising their rates for both the phone and internet. I finally went into the office and closed my accounts. I specifically asked if my bills were all paid with the closure of the account and was told yes. Then lo and behold, I got more bills, AFTER I had closed my account and settled up with them. There were lines already drilled and box connections outside of my home. I needed to cancel my cable but retain my internet and phone. I tried to do it over the phone but uggh I was told I had to go in person. No one wants to spend their Friday morning at the cable store so I went in teeth clenched for the worst. To my relief it was surprisingly easy. I came in prepared with my equipment to turn back in so that saved a step. I was "checked in" then waited about 10 minutes for someone to assist me. Zach was friendly and didn't try to convince me to keep anything. He did say that I'd lose my "promotional" rate by dropping the cable and wouldn't/couldn't move me into a new promotional package for the internet/phone combo (although I'm pretty sure that something exists) That will be a call to retention another day. After having my Xfinity provided router need to be replaced 4 times in 45 days due to dropping internet, I finally purchased my own third party and the issues stopped. Except now Xfinity says I never returned my last modem and is trying to charge me extra for it now. They also claim I have a flex device. I have no idea what this is, but I have no Xfinity provided equipment. I know they will try to charge me for this as well. Let me breakdown why I gave this store an awful review. My plan was originally to "upgrade" to a new phone. Having come from another carrier before, and bringing my own device, I loved the idea of paying just $45 for unlimited data. Great deal, right? No. Average service, that supposedly works off of Verizon towers? Lies. Little did I know that after three days of trying to replace my old phone with a new one and keep my number (novel idea, I know), my "case" would have to be escalated to a corporate level, where someone higher up would have to deal with me. In addition, the associate who was helping me seemed very put off by my being there. Like I was such an inconvenience for being a loyal customer, and basically providing him with his paycheck (I think his name was Curtis?). Needless to say, after going in three days in a row and getting bounced back between calling customer service and talking to someone in store, I had just had enough. Went to BestBuy and had a wonderful experience with one of their smartphone/tech experts. Never go with Xfinity Mobile. Ever. read more

Xfinity, like most cable, is ridiculously expensive so I went in this store recently prepared for battle when I decided to go from triple play to just internet. I walked in, started to put my name in the check-in, and a worker stopped me and directed me to one of the customer service guys. I explained what I had decided to do, he did it, told me to drop off the X1 when I could and that was that. Scheduled the change for today. Easiest experience I've had with cable. Update: I returned the X1 today and talked about the various streaming apps with Cameron. I told him the channels I want to eventually have/the ones I might actually miss (AMC, TNT, the networks, HBO) and my search for an indoor HD antenna worth anything (I can get Fox in the living room, ABC only in the spare bedroom - but wow those religious stations sure do come in crystal clear), and he told me about Xfinity's newish streaming app. Long story short: I still cut $65+ from my monthly bill but have my local networks and my AMC TNT thru the entertainment pack on the Xfinity streaming app that I access through my Roku. He was extremely helpful and, again, I had no wait. I highly recommend this location. read more

When I got to this location, there was a long line but the employees here were as super efficient and professional. They were personable, knowledgeable, and they helped me more than any phone call or online service could have. Even though they were short staffed the day I visited, they were kind and calm and helped me so much. On 2/7/2022, my boyfriend decided to go through Xfinity for wifi, so he did everything online and all we had to do was walk into the nearest Xfinity store to pick up our wifi box. This store closed at 6:00pm and we knew it would be a quick service, so we got to the store at around 5:50pm (yes, I know, kind of annoying... but we had to do what we had to do) Right as we walked through the door the greeter or whoever she is (taller girl with an afro, I didn't catch her name) said "You waited all day to finally come into the store when we're about to close!??) with the nastiest attitude!! So, I stood there and just stared at her ready to cuss her tf out but she didn't even look at me, as I proceeded to just let it go and walk towards the guy at the other desk where my boyfriend walked to, I then heard her say "Can I help you?!!!" and then immediately said "NO?? OK!!" again with an ugly attitude. At this point I was livid and ready to meet her in the parking lot tbh, so once I got to where my boyfriend was, the guy he was talking to (had orangish/red hair) ALSO HAD A NASTY ATTITUDE because he didn't feel like switching the account name/holder for us (because my boyfriend forgot his ID so we were just going to switch it into my name as I had mine on me) and said "it would take too much time, and they would have to do it in the store" as he rolled his eyes and his body language said it all... so at that point, I grabbed my purse and said never mind. We ended up going to the Grandville location after this (they closed @7:00pm) and they were amazing! Very nice and it only took maybe 7-8 minutes! Needless to say, don't go to this location because the customer service is disgusting. They all had terrible attitudes and if the dude in the button up shirt was the manager, then please just shut this location down because he didn't do a thing about her shouting out loud with her ignorant comments. On top of that, they have this "planned maintenance" shit, where they just shut everything off, sometimes in the middle of the day, without warning, with no possible way to be notified in advance, and then will keep your service off for many hours, if not multiple days. Don't get service here, trust Triton High Speed, AT&T or any other local Grand Rapids provider because this place has really crooked employees that won't help you with problems and will only make you spend more money for even basic needs. I had Triton before, paid half of what Xfinity charges and Tritons price doesn't change - also no rental fees for modems and wireless routers. We don't even have a tv (recently moved to the state) and when I saw my bill I found that I'm locked into a stupid HBO, Showtime, ridiculous tv subscription that Comcast won't fix without being on a plan that costs more because the first employee tacked on a ton extra when we were clear what we needed. Today the supervisor called me and said I can pay more if I want it changed.. I'm already spending $60 when I was clear that I needed internet only and it was advertised at $29. The little supervisor says some BS about how he has no power to change stuff but they are just happy that they screwed me into this.
