I don't know why Yelp says this store is closed, it was open today (March 11, 2025) when I went there for my scheduled appointment to activate a phone. No one ever WANTS to go to a cel phone/multi media provider store these days if you can help it, because something often goes wrong. There is a long wait, there is a lot of confusion, or just plain terrible customer service. NONE OF THESE were part of my experience today at the Union City Xfinity store at Union Landing. Most if not all of the credit for that great experience goes to sales consultant Khalil Robertson, who lucky for me was the person who helped me, right on time, for my appointment. Khalil was SUPER. Professional, efficient, and friendly. I don't know where Khalil learned his customer service skills, but he is a role model for anyone aspiring to excellence in that area. He could be promoted to trainer, with a big bump in salary. Thank you again Khalil for such a five star experiences. I took my brother into the Union City CA store because I have had positive business experiences there myself in the past. My brother has never had a smart phone or television and we set him up with both this year. Xfinity was very patient and explained the basics to brother and gave him a cell phone with his sign up for cell service and internet. Had some problems w the open hours due to COVID precautions and staff absences but when was finally able get some service upgrading my ch line up...It all went beautifully. I just missed the 6pm close the night before but the on site manager took my info for a appointment the next. I was 5 minutes late for my appt but the beautiful and friendly Melissa greeted me at the front Desk "don't you worry honey...no trouble at all" I only had to wait for 5 or 10 min before the spritely and cordial "Day" started her "wheelin and dealin "though all my published options for a my channel package upgrade I was looking for(....I'm not going pay a lot for this ....cable!!! I manage apartments. We have an access agreement and allowed Comcast to install large boxes of wires affixed onto our building. Their wires run inside the building and under the building into each individiual apartment. Comast has not been servicing these boxes and now technicians started running wires outside the building to each apartment when contacted. They look aweful. Comcast customer service has been aweful about fixing this or even responding to my request to have someone come out and look at it. Please fix your wires! read more

Let me preface this by saying, Not someone to typically slander establishments, because I have myself worked in customer service before, and never in my life have I seen an establishment with the worst customer service imaginable. Last October 2022 we decided to part ways with Xfinity due to performance issues, to which then we had to return all of our home equipment back to this specific store, and run over the closure of our account with the in house team. After discussing some details, they had told us that everything looked okay with our account and that there was no remaining balance to be paid and we could proceed with the closure. So then we went on our way and looked for a different company to continue with our internet needs. After some long awaited issues we had to leave the new company to whom we had become customers of, and since it is back to school season for the kiddos in the house, we desperately needed an internet connection, and decided Xfinity would be a temporary solution, since most of schoolwork is done online now. To which my father decided to visit the store here in Union Landing Monday the 28th to which he found an associate, a young lady who speaks Spanish, and was able to explain the issue to her, in which she helped him. To then proceeding to tell him there was a remaining balance of over 140 dollars on the closed account from the previous October. Balance ? Yeah, to our surprise. Not really sure what went wrong as we had always set up automatic payments on all of our accounts so issues like this would not arise. As well as we had been reassured by the previous employees that helped us the past year that everything was okay. After not that much explaining we decided to pay said balance because we desperately in need of an internet connection at home, and we were told to return after 48 hours and the issue would be resolved so we can proceed with opening a new service account in the store. So we did just that. Today Wednesday the 30th of August, we went into the store here at Union Landing, and were immediately greeted and taken to a help stand to try to open up the new service. I accompanied my father, as sometimes his English is not the best and most of the time there's no translators in store due to scheduling issues or other reasons, as I myself understand. As I recall my last visit to the store wasn't all that great as far as service went. Comcast are some of the biggest rip off artist in the WORLD They can get away with it because they own the whole cable modem world in this part of the area and AT&T isn't fast enough or able to compete. Why do I dislike Comcast. lets just count a few reason. They are charging me for a modem rental; I own my modem for years! YEARS! I have had to call 4 times about getting my modem rental fee removed if u don't monitor your bill they will add it on. This is the 4th time they are adding it into my bill. For a cable modem fee/ I have always owned my own modem. But yet they will randomly just add it onto my bill. You have to watch them like a hawk. I have on auto bill pay so they have been doing again. They are also charging me for a a cable box. I don't even watch cable tv. Or own a box. They will put you on a nice 6 or 12 month contact then jack up the rates. Say there is nothing better. You then have to call and tell them you are going to leave them for AT&T and get a supervisor who is always busy. These guys SURE Know how to make money. If you don't like to wait on the phone this isn't the company for you. I hate to leave this store this review; I'm just so sick of Comcast they have the worst customer service and there isn't anything to do about it as they offer the fastest internet in my area and I have no second choice unless i want slower speeds. Where should I begin... decided to get wifi in my new home with xfinity. Flex box was defective it took me over a month to get that conclusion because the only customer service that is easily reachable is via messaging through app. A lot of circling back to the same "resolution" finally decided to call them and it is so hard to reach an actual human being v an automated machine. While I was trying to get help on the app the SR convinced me to switch to xfinity mobile.. saying I would Pay the same for the same services.. just came back from Mexico with an over $300 bill!!! EMPTY PROMISES... SCAMMERS... had to come in to the store to complain because I was NOT going to deal with another messenger or automated machine. Of course when I explained why I was complaining there first resolution.. "I'm going to need you to call xfinity" I said NOPE I need to talk to a human. People are beating them up because of Covid wait times etc. I made an appointment, was in the door within 5 minutes and out the door in another 5, no issues. Jason was very helpful and very courteous. Keep in mind the appointment is a 30 minute window, if there is a long line it is what it is, appreciate the fact that they are putting themselves at risk for you to have TV, internet and mobile phone service. read more

i am going to write my review here, because xfinity in itself as the company is not listed. so what has happened to xfinity's wi-fi speed. they advertize thee fastest going but on my computer, everything is at a dead crawl. one time it took 2 minutes for a page to load. on average, 30 seconds. in the past, it was not like this at all. you hit the enter key, bam, your page was there. now, you wait, and wait and wait. i even got up one time and brushed my teeth while i was waiting. tomorrow i am going to call customer service and ask them what is wrong. if they give me a run-a-round, then i done. in our neighborhood we have a startup company called 'tekify' who offers 1 gig wi-fi service, always, for $49. not bad. i just cannot take these slow, slow speeds anymore from xfinity. read more

This is my local service center, and yesterday we met with Jesus Rodriguez- who was amazing. I ended up adding mobile to my plan, and got a new iPhone. Terrible customer service. I tried to come here to get an installment box to set up internet. So I made an appointment online to make it easier for me to come and pick up. I tried checking in with my confirmation number but it said cannot find. I went to look for an employee for help. The manager assisted me and I showed him my confirmation on my phone. However, he said I missed my appointment by 5 minutes so I cannot check in and that I had to wait in line. Seriously!? Then what's the point for me driving there having to wait inline anyway. We had Xfinity internet service. It was down for 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Each outage time took more than 20 hrs. No explanation from the company at all. The fee is $150 per month ( 3 times more than many other internet service providers). All our neighbors that I talked to are thinking to switch to other internet companies at this time. I gotta say, I feel like an old-timer when I walked into this store. What I mean is, this place is very similar to an Apple store. I was hoping that I could just walk in, drop off my old cable box and get out of dodge. But nope, they take your name, then you sit down with your box of equipment until a service member calls for you. Then he/she walks you over to his/her desk. I felt like I'm walking into a personnel office for a job. I know times are different and business is expanding because competition is fierce, but I'm not too sure about all this hoopla. After reading all the horrible reviews of this store, I was dreading having to go there and swap out some equipment. So I went around 3pm in the afternoon on a Friday...and when I arrived I started to check in on the iPad they had at the check in desk. Before I could even start my check in...Alisa Daniel...called me over to her desk. There were probably about 4 people in the store. And I told her what I needed and she went and got it. I was done in less than 10 minutes and so I inquired about the home security system and she showed it to me and one of the other reps actually has it in his home and he showed me what it looked like. So because there is special offer right now...I was able to get my system scheduled and I'm happy with the service I received! Now I need to say that I am not a Comcast fan, but in this moment, they are offering me what I need at a decent price and I didn't have to go through what so many others have expressed. I thought I should say something positive about my experience today. Alisa wasn't rude, she answered my questions and I got what I needed. Was in and out in 30 mins...I can't complain about a thing. So I hope that others will have a similar experience....as not all reps in there are bad! read more

Writing this review to hopefully save some people some time, but unfortunately, I doubt many people going to the Comcast center will even look on Yelp. Anyhoot - this tip is for people going to return equipment. I walked in and see the check-in iPad, so I immediately go to check myself in. There were a few reasons you can select and one of them was for equipment returns. Easy peasy. About 3 or 4 parties were ahead of me, so I waited about 10-15 minutes for my turn. It's my turn and the rep points to a red box (similar to a library book deposit box) on the other side of the room and tells me I can just drop my equipment there. Crikey Comcast - couldn't you have put a sign by the check-in or embed a note on the iPad that you can self-drop off? Why not save people's time? I would have been pretty pissed if I had waited more than 15 minutes when they could have put a sign out regarding the drop box and I would have been in/out in a few minutes. SMH. In conclusion - just go to the red drop box (it's to the far left of the front door) for equipment returns. I left uneasy not having a receipt - even tried asking the rep, but they said they do not provide receipts. However, they should have the device credited to your account within 48 hours. Take pics of your boxes/serial numbers beforehand, and it might not hurt to take pictures of the devices when you're there. You essentially leave with no proof of return. read more

comcast was paid on time for their services. after 2 months passed, Comcast retroactively posted a $10 late fee. called 800 number. Indian operaters didn't want to do anything. (no doubt 800 number outsourced to India.) the personnel at this store don't understand why HQ charged the late fee. but they are unwilling to do anything. everyone is in agreement we paid on time. check was cashed on the due date.
