WOW!!! She really is amazing. My husband has multiple health issues and was discharged from the hospital after having pneumonia. His lungs were still extremely congested and they did not give us oxygen, nebulizer, antibiotics or anything! I almost had to call 911 AGAIN! I found Dr Xiao on the good review of yelp for my lower back sciatica pain. My orthopedic surgeon told me there are two discs on my lumbar spine. Because I don't want to have surgery and don't hear good result from couple friends so I tried PT, chiropractor. After long time PT and Chiropractor sessions I get a little better so I decided to try acupuncture with Dr Xiao. The good News I felt big improvement after 5 sessions and have 90% back. I suffered from sciatica and went through the western medicine route. Medication, cortisone shots, physical therapy, and nothing worked. Dr Xiao saved my life! I need to preface this medical story by saying I am not a baby when it comes to pain. I grew up with three brothers and took martial arts for years. I am not a wuss or a drama queen. I had been suffering for over two years with mysterious severe stomach pain, fatigue and flu like symptoms that would leave me crying and shaking in pain. I ended up in the ER many times because the stomach pain was so bad I thought my appendix had to be rupturing. Every time I was sent home after many tests and no conclusion as to what was wrong. I went to a GI specialist who thought maybe I had Crohn's disease and wanted to put me on steroids. That day I drove straight to Dr Xiao's after hearing about her from a friend. Dr Xiao kept asking me about my period and saying that my body was indicating that it was dysfunction with my menstrual cycle and liver. At the time I was so dead set that it had to be Crohn's after seeing the specialist, and because my symptoms didn't seemed directly related to my period, that I ignored her diagnosis and went about suffering for another year trying to change my diet to get relief. Finally through a brutal process of going to doctor after doctor, I figured out I had endometriosis. Dr Xiao was right all along! After being told by several OBGYN specialists and doctors that I would just have to deal with it, or just take advil, or get a hysterectomy, or take artificial hormones to send me into menopause and make it be less severe I finally remembered that sweet and unassuming Dr who had diagnosed me correctly in less than an hour. And with that I called Dr Xiao. She told me to give her about 3-4 months and she would have me feeling better and sure enough here I am 4 months later and I am 98% symptom free after going to acupuncture and drinking the special herbal tea concoction she made. I cannot believe that after YEARS!!! of suffering and feeling like a shell of my former self this amazing doctor could have me feeling symptom free so quickly. I noticed a difference after my very first session with her and it just kept getting better and better. Now I am on a maintenance cycle where I see her every three months and I just had my first almost entirely pain free menstrual cycle in years! It's unbelievable!
