There was still another 20-30 waiting time for service to begin, since the buffet hadn't been set up yet. Unfortunately, the two wait staff members who I spoke to, couldn't respond, because they didn't speak nor understand English. That was fine, next eventually we did find someone who spoke English, and were able to get out questions answered. She was also the one who I'd asked to give me a copy of my check. Nice place; they have a big variety of food, sea food ( sushi, crab legs, lobster) fried rice, mostly everything you can think about. And the food is very fresh. The staff is very friendly and there's plenty of parking near by. I don't like how the staff "Hover " over you though, as if people stealing food. This place is absolutely horrible. In the entry sign it states that the entry price is 26.99 then proceeded to charge almost $40 per person. Before we were seated the service was horrible and completely unprofessional and rude. Absolutely atrocious. Then when friends and I got out money together they changed their attitude completely. As we were sitting at our booth and eating the staff continually passed back and forth basically staring at us as we were trying to have a good time. Along with inappropriate comments being made and complete disrespect. The food caused me to throw up TWICE and break out and the female worker came to my party of friends and stated "Well maybe your friend is pregnant", all because their greasy salty food caused this. We went around 9:30 (Friday night) and fresh seafood was still coming out. Prices for dinner is $18.99 a person. There's a hibachi station that seemed to be closed at the time? Or maybe it wasn't closed since no one was in line? Either way they have a hibachi bar that had fresh ingredients ready to go. They had basic sushi like California roll. The soups were old and cold by the time we arrived. The crawfish, mussels, clams, crab legs and claws were excellent. I was sad that there wasn't any crab Rangoon. The Service was terrible. They did NOT check on us. I filled my own drink after waiting 20 mins for them to come. My sister ordered lobster that was not cleaned up and was Nasty. They added their own TIP on the ticket. They said it was for the people that cleaned the tables... the lady that cleaned the table filled my sisters drink with a DIRTY glove on. Came here for lunch after taking a midterm. The place is small compared to K1 in Brooklyn, but with the hibachi. The hibachi here allows you to choose your own sauce, so I chose soy sauce. The buffet here has a bar and a TV showing Chinese shows. I chose to drink egg drop soup. There have scallions, roast pork, and butter for toppings, with no fried noodle. I am a Special Education Teacher at P176x in Co-Op City, working with High School students with autism. My colleagues and I have visited this restaurant with our classes on numerous occasions, and we have recommended it to others. NEVER AGAIN. This past Wednesday, we took 3 classes to visit the restaurant as part of our yearly tradition of celebrating Chinese New Year. As per our standard routine, we called two weeks ahead to let them know how many staff and students were coming, in order to ensure they could accommodate us. We also confirmed the pricing at this time, as we always do. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told it would be an extra $8, because it was Valentine's Day (quick math: 29 students/staff x $8 = $232). We told them that we were never notified of this pricing when we made our reservation, and their initial response was to shrug and repeat the pricing. They then tried to tell us that they had no reservation for us, insisting we never called. We told them we called, and that we know we called them because they are the only Chinese restaurant in the community that we visit (everything we do is routine - it's part of the nature of working with students with autism). The manager then insisted we must have dialed the wrong number, to which I couldn't help but respond, "What are the odds we dialed a wrong number, and still got a Chinese restaurant?" Again, shrugs (with no eye contact). I appealed to him on a business level, asking him to consider how much business we do there, and how much we refer, given the size of our school. He stuck with the, "You never called" story. I then tried to appeal to him on a human level - I asked him to look outside to see our three classes sitting on the benches, waiting patiently (though some of our guys, clearly recognizing that something was amiss, began having a difficult time). Our students worked hard and earned this day out, and we did everything right on our end. We called; we confirmed the price; we booked the trip. Our kids didn't deserve to be turned away at the door. He was still unmoved. With no eye contact, he, and now the girl behind the counter repeated the mantra, "You never called. You must have dialed a wrong number." In a way, I guess we did. Had the worse experience ever. Went here yesterday for lunch. The food was cold and it tasted like it was microwaved/old. Only thing I actually enjoyed was the fried dumplings but those were fresh. The boneless spare ribs were way too sweet and cold. And the broccoli with chicken super cold. I don't like posting bad reviews but it was a waste of money and also my throat has been on fire all day. I think I caught an infection eating here! My throat has never hurt so much in my life! Went on a wednesday night for dinner with my guy. 15 a person. Not to crazy and when you see all you can eat hibachi not so bad. The good: on a slow night most food was still fresh. Flavors were okay but spotty. Service was really nice. The bad: the hibachi. How is it ok to serve slimy beef and chicken to people? The whole station was lacking and quite icky looking. The chicken wings I purchased here on 6/22/2020 were fried in old oil. They were absolutely disgusting. They tasted dirty and were dark! I was really disappointed because their wings are usually really nice. I will not be returning until quarantine is over or when they finally start changing their oil regularly. Even prior to quarantine, people have mentioned that they fry all of their food in the same oil. For those with seafood allergies, beware!
