They have wide array of Asian cuisine available that is hard to find in the Bronx. I've had some of their speciality sushi that were very unique and it was delicious. I can't speak to the dine in service since I've only done take out here, but the restaurant itself looks really spacious, cozy and accommodating for large groups. The staff is also really nice-- I've had take out from here only a couple times, and they know my name and face despite never dining in. They are always really nice and the food is prepared in a timely manner. The food itself tastes fresh and is overall appetizing. Neither the fried nor the steamed dumplings were that great due to a lack of seasoning. The best appetizers were the spicy rock shrimp and the sushi sandwich, which is probably my favorite dish here! The sushi sandwich is also very filling as an appetizer and well worth the price-- I tend to get this every time I visit. The soft shell crab roll, rainbow rolls, and the shrimp tempura are all wonderful, as are the regular rolls, which although generic, still hit the spot. The shrimp tempura dinner combo is a rather large portion given the price. A small qualm, but I wish they would have fewer pieces of the green plastic grass papers separating the rolls in the takeout trays (it seems rather wasteful for plastic use). I've frequented Kai Sushi Asian Fusion several times, and will patron several times in the future when I want a consistently good sushi meal without breaking the bank or traveling too far away from the neighborhood. read more

This establishment is good. Upon entering I noticed it was a buffet restaurant. I was assuming it was solely a sushi restaurant. The waiters and waitresses worked more robotic. Once you're seated they take your drink order and then they assume you're going to the buffet bar. I wasn't interested in buffet I wanted sushi only. A relative frequents this place and has recommended. So I had the opportunity to stop by and place an order to go. Although this wasn't a sit down meal, this restaurant is a real Asian restaurant not a in the wall chicken and French fries place. My to go order took maybe 15 and he price was fair for this type of restaurant. This place is located on williamsbridge near the Bus # 40,42, 8 and 31, as well as the #6 train. When covid ends i will return to have a sit down meal. In the meantime I will say my food was really good. It was not greasy and didn't smell and the ingredients seem to be very fresh. Their food is priced higher than the average spot, but I think it's worth it, because their food is reliably good, and things just taste clean. The fish they use in their sushi is fresh, the nori is nice and chewy, and they don't use huge globs of rice.... I'd recommend the 3 roll specials that come with miso soup. I have ordered delivery twice from this place. Both times the food came well packed and without any spills. I also wasn't missing any items. The first time i ordered a shrimp egg roll, wonton egg drop soup, three regular roll special, general tso's chicken combo dinner and orange chicken combo dinner. The shrimp egg roll is absolutely delicious. I would order that over and over again. The wonton egg drop soup is not that great. I wouldn't order it again. The wonton's themselves are really thick. For the rolls i ordered the crunchy spicy kani roll, the spicy crunch shrimp and the shrimp tempura roll. All three were absolutely delicious and filling. Both the general tso's and orange chicken had great flavor but by the time it arrived, it wasn't crispy anymore. I tried to recrisp it in the toaster oven and that didn't work. The second time i ordered fried dumplings, the grasshopper roll, kai roll, shrimp tempura roll, sweetheart roll and stir fried udon with beef. The fried dumplings tasted exactly like the wonton's i had in my soup during my first order. The dumpling skin was too thick and the beef looked and tasted the exact same way as the wontons. I wasn't crazy about them. The grasshopper roll i would order every single time, it was lobster salad, crab meat, shrimp, mango, avocado, asparagus, lettuce wrap, rice paper with avocado and caviar in yuzu wasabi sauce. The lettuce did get a little wilted during transit but it didnt impact the flavor at all. Very delish. The kai roll has spicy tuna, avocado and shrimp tempura inside a green soy paper. The outside has lobster salad and caviar. Another roll that i would order again. Very Very good. My husband ordered the sweet heart roll which was really pretty. Inside it has crab meat, cucumber, avocado, spicy tuna and crunchh wrapped in a pink rice paper topped with raw fresh tuna. I tried it and the tuna was very fresh. This roll is absolutely delicious but should only be ordered if your into raw fish. You can definitely taste it. Lastly, the beef udon. The sauce was very light BUT the flavor was there 100 percent. So delicous, so filling, so flavorful. I think we will certainly be ordering this specific dish again soon. It was that good. Overall we were so much happier with our second order from here. I think going forward we will continue to try different rolls and dishes from the stir fry section. I will absolutely continue to order from this place. i highly recommend it. read more

I haven't gone in (with covid around) but I have been ordering from them for months now. The food is delicious and fresh. My husband loves the sushi there. He has tried most of their sushi items and hasn't complained. He also orders a soup to start his meal with. I'm a vegetarian so I have ordered most of their vegetarian options (including veg rolls). It's never a disappointment. Always fresh! My daughter is in love with their Lo main. We are always full but in a good way. We are excited to go in and eat there soon. read more
