This place always makes me happy, food is fresh, fast, and just so appetizing. The service is wonderful and the environment is comfortable enough for a solo date. Very cute, it keeps me coming back.

Kai took over the New Hawaii Sea in the Bronx. The inside is very nice and the aquarium in the front adds a touch of elegance, and a fun piece for kids. One of the highlights of Kai is its diverse menu of Asian fusion cuisine. Whether you're craving sushi, sashimi, or a traditional Chinese dish, there's something to satisfy everyone. What truly sets this establishment apart is its exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest at our table felt welcomed and cared for.

How many years have I lived in this area without checking out this spot ‍. This is definitely a hidden gem in the Bronx. They have wide array of Asian cuisine available that is hard to find in the Bronx. I've had some of their speciality sushi that were very unique and it was delicious. I have done delivery and pick up. For pick up as soon as they knew I was there they took care of the order and I was able to leave shortly after. I will definitely be returning and recommend to anyone who likes sushi and Asian cuisine. I've had the alligator roll

The service and staff were so awesome. Felt really close knit and intimate seating. The place is huge and cozy at the same time. I got the singapore mei fun. trust me and stick with the entrees. the sushi was subpar and not worth the price or quality however everything else is awesome i'll go back here again i give it a 7/10 the sushi should be dropped from the name but everything else is splendid trust me

Service was fast and attentive but unfortunately the food was WACK! if the seaweed salad is the best thing on your table you know your not at the right Japanese house. We ordered the some 3 sushi combos (spicy salmon/tuna, crunch shrimp, oyster, and eel roll) that came with miso soup, steak with broccoli, a mango tuna salad, seaweed salad, and sashimi. The tuna was very pale and pink rather than red. Unfortunately the food was not good. It was a bit upsetting. At least the service was good. But never forget to tip!

    Love the shrimp

My favorite sushi restaurant in the Bronx!! Great service and overall best menu. I've been going to this restaurant for over 6 years and it's never failed my sushi cravings.

1/1 Service; 2/3 Food; 1/1 Value This place probably has the best sushi in Morris Park. I can't speak to the dine in service since I've only done take out here, but the restaurant itself looks really spacious, cozy and accommodating for large groups. The staff is also really nice-- I've had take out from here only a couple times, and they know my name and face despite never dining in. They are always really nice and the food is prepared in a timely manner. The food itself tastes fresh and is overall appetizing. Neither the fried nor the steamed dumplings were that great due to a lack of seasoning. The best appetizers were the spicy rock shrimp and the sushi sandwich, which is probably my favorite dish here! The sushi sandwich is also very filling as an appetizer and well worth the price-- I tend to get this every time I visit. The soft shell crab roll, rainbow rolls, and the shrimp tempura are all wonderful, as are the regular rolls, which although generic, still hit the spot. The shrimp tempura dinner combo is a rather large portion given the price. A small qualm, but I wish they would have fewer pieces of the green plastic grass papers separating the rolls in the takeout trays (it seems rather wasteful for plastic use). I've frequented Kai Sushi Asian Fusion several times, and will patron several times in the future when I want a consistently good sushi meal without breaking the bank or traveling too far away from the neighborhood.

Food is always good! Decided to eat in today. The gentleman in charge at the desk had to take orders etc. they were busy. Only one waiter. Food was great.

This establishment is good. Upon entering I noticed it was a buffet restaurant. I was assuming it was solely a sushi restaurant. The waiters and waitresses worked more robotic. Once you're seated they take your drink order and then they assume you're going to the buffet bar. I wasn't interested in buffet I wanted sushi only. The waitress seemed clueless after I mentioned I don't want buffet. So a gentleman standing by the front door took our order. It took awhile to come but it was good. My daughter ordered a salmon roll but she said it taste like a tuna roll. Overall it was good but because everyone seems clueless about ordering sushi only I gave them 3 stars.

I have been dining in this location since the days of The Hawaii Sea Restaurant. The Lychee Martinis were not too sweet, and all of the meals we tried were super flavorful, and the portions were generous. We tried the Bird's Nest, Shrimp with Mango, Subgum Wonton, and some Sushi Rolls! Service was friendly, and somewhat attentive.

I came here with my fiancé we started with drinks he got a Manhattan & I got a lychee martini. The cocktails were good not the best i believe the liquor that was used tasted inexpensive. We then ordered sushi I got a tiger roll and mango roll he ordered the sashimi. The food was very filling and yummy . Our server provided excellent service. The ice cream I feel was very yummy. I would probably come back for the food.

Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. As other reviewers have mentioned- the construction of the rolls can suffer at times- for me this usually looks like 1 at most 2 pieces losing their integrity when I pick them up. My friends and I agree that this is Riverdale, not A sushi hotspot desitation and we would rather sacrifice a point on the physical construction /proper sushi technique than go somewhere else that has beautiful perfectly rolled sushi- with less fresh fish or rolls that are more rice than filling. Also- the sushi IS good! I usually go for salmon, tuna and a sweet potato tempura roll The lunch specials (monday-saturday until 3:15 pm) are a really good deal and come with pretty good miso soup and a fresh side salad. I am appreciative that they run a little later in the day as well. Aoyu has always been very reasonable abt modifications- there is no upcharge for brown rice for lunch bento- easy to request veggie instead of pork gyoza, and I really don't like crab- imitation or otherwise- so they always let me sub a cucumber avocado roll instead. For my tapas options I went with some Arancini and Zucchini flowers. I didn't want too much to eat after having such a huge breakfast. The arancini was flavorless but really good with the marinara sauce it came with, and to my surprise the zucchini flowers were amazing. After visiting regularly, I've come to know the wonderful people who run it--with professionalism, warmth, and consistency. A quick disclaimer: I'm recommending Kiraku based on a personal preference for sushi that honors traditional preparation--clean, balanced, and free from excessive sauces or unnecessary embellishments. I've been to highly rated sushi spots where every piece is smothered in sugary, multi-ingredient sauces, masking the flavor of the fish and turning the experience into something overly rich and far from authentic. Kiraku stands apart. Their sushi is beautifully restrained--great-quality fish, well-prepared rice, and flavors that are distinct and harmonious. For those who enjoy bolder options, there are a few heavier sauce-based rolls on the menu. But for me, the real strength of Kiraku lies in its refined, minimalist approach. If you appreciate true sushi craftsmanship, this place is a hidden neighborhood gem with extremely good pricing for the quality you're getting.
