We've been going to this tree lot for well over a decade and absolutely love it. My toddler son and I walk there most days throughout December because he loves the lights, music, and of course checking out every single tree. The guys who work here are awesome and always greet my kid, get down on his level, and have a small chat with him. They are courteous and always helpful. We won't go anywhere else for our Christmas trees! Even the two years we lived in East Van, we drove out to Kits to get our tree from this place. We are able to walk our tree home but we frequently see the guys tying trees to the top of cars for people, and they never use that horrible plastic netting that other lots use. And lastly, these guys are die hards and know their trees! They can tell you everything about the different types and how to take care of them differently. Highly recommend them! read more

I came here looking for a tree and as it's already the 16th I thought I might be looking at the dregs but no - lots of trees and options. Found a beautiful tree right away. The guys here were really helpful, cut the bottom off, tied up the tree with twine not the horrible plastic webbing and tied the tree to the top of my car. Tree is fresh and smells great. I'll definitely come again next year. read more

Is this place actually called "XMAS TREES"? I don't know, but that's the best I can do based on the hand-lettered signs that pop up here every winter. We've bought trees here for the past two years and been very, very happy. The first year we tried to get on a bus with our tree. Tried to... and ended up carrying it for 15 blocks. Luckily we'd picked a small one. This year I carefully took note of the free delivery sign. The lot was particularly beautiful with the fresh fallen snow, white lights, and evergreen boughs all about. A friendly guy by the name of Mario was there to assist us. He pointed us to the reasonably priced trees (some varieties are really pricey). Ours rung in at $35, with no extra for delivery. Our tree is still going strong, has dropped hardly any needles, and smells great. Speaking of which, I think I need to do something about the tree still in our living room. Hmmm, I wonder if they do tree chipping too? How about free pick up? read more

This is a classic Christmas tree lot that always has the BEST trees and the most friendly and helpful staff. The staff are always willing to go the extra mile, and recognize repeat customers. They will pull out tree after tree until you find the perfect one, no matter the weather. And this year I even took advantage of the delivery service making it super convenient. I came here last year, however, I thought that I reviewed this last year, however, the listing disappeared. I came here as this was the closet place to one of my gilfriend's who lives at Cypress and 7th. We still took a car just to drive the tree back. Again the only reason why we came here is 'cause at the time they were the closet and the yard that had trees still. She was a bit late on getting the tree due to her vacation but still insistent on getting one. We came to the lot and we expected that the good ones were gone given the time frame of the month that we arrived. I was willing adopt the Charlie Brown tree of the lot. Some of the trees were already brown in some spots which was odd. Again, I don't mind that we were going to adopt the Charlie Brown of the trees. The reason why I mention it was more for warning than anything. The tree issue wasn't the reason I am giving it a low mark. It was myself, my girlfriend and another one of her female friends. She picked up the biggest tree and when we were trying to get assistance the owner (I assume), "This is no job for a bunch of ladies, hopefully there's a man to do this job for you." I thought that this was rude and an inappropriate sexist joke. At that point I offered to take my girlfriend to Canadian tire and buy a tree. It wasn't the real tree that she wanted, however, it was a tree with better service. read more

The trees are gorgeous here, but the service is atrocious. So it really depends what is important to you. Purchased two of the most perfect trees I have seen for my office, big one was $70 and a shorter similar one was $50. We paid $5 each for 2 disposal bags and another $20 for a stand as we needed another one for the small tree, so all in we were at $150. This includes free delivery. We made it as absolute clear as we could that these were for an office. They were purchased on a Thursday and we were told they would be delivered on Monday. No receipt, cash only. On Monday at about 1pm we started to get worried that we hadn't heard anything yet. After a lengthy search online, came to discover there is absolutely no way to contact them. So I had to go all the way down to the tree lot to ask when our trees were arriving, I had an office full of people eager to decorate and asking me where it was. When I arrived I was told by a women "well we deliver in the evening". We close at 5pm, so obviously wouldn't work for us. She then points to a huge pile of trees on the ground and says "go find your trees". Expecting me to dig through these piles of trees and find mine. They then offered to deliver it right away (yes, after I had to find my own trees without any help). They give me the tree stand to take with me, although the owner on our previous visit clearly told me he needs to bring it when he delivers to make sure it is the right size. SURE ENOUGH they gave me one that was way too big for our smaller tree. So the guy shows up, drops both of our trees on the floor and says "I'll be back with a smaller stand" and never returned. Trees just sitting on the floor, one of which we had to put in a garbage can to be able to keep it in water overnight until we could return to the lot today to get the right stand. Yes, 3 trips to the lot this took us in order to have 2 tree delivered. The owner is very knowledgeable, but his help is definitely not. They need to come into this century as well, receipts, credit card terminals, even someone to wrap up your tree would be nice... read more

Rude, sexist and arrogant! That's enough to put one off the Xmas spirit. The people that work here are just in this to make a quick buck. We came here to purchase a noble fir Xmas tree and when I mentioned that I got it $10 cheaper at Aunt Leah's last year, I was told to go there instead. From the start the guy who works here came up to us with an arrogant ego attitude, no biggie we let it slide, but when we realized that it is a cash only place and that they don't have transaction machines we left the tree and drove to the bank and came back, soon after we found out that they don't have a baler to wrap the tree and we were offered the chance to buy a plastic bag at $5, I jokingly said could you give it to us for free? At that point the guy called me a ballbuster! And said why don't you just go to Aunt Leah's then. To Which we said okay. We drove to Aunt Leah's and decided to spend $20 more on an even bigger tree, we had fantastic service in a very well lit lot pleasantly equipped with plywood sheets to walk on instead of the mud dirt ground like this place, the prices were clearly marked and they have a baler to wrap up the tree and make it easy to bring indoors, plus Aunt Leah's volunteers carry it out to your car without you asking, they give service with a smile, not to mention debit and credit available and most importantly 100% of the proceeds go to foster kids. This other place in contrast is dark and poorly lit, dirt muddy ground, the money goes to their pocket, with poor customer service, they throw your tree on the muddy ground to trim the base, no respect for the trees or the customers. We will never EVER deal with these people again. I cannot believe the way we were spoken to. And to call a woman a ballbuster in this day and age is shocking. read more
