Xpa Xcaret is hidden inside the Xcaret México Park. Interesting location. Definitely not as exotic as you would think but still unique and a cool experience.
We were staying at Xcaret Arte and we were ready to pay $200 per person for a 50 min massage. When we found out about Xpa, we wanted a different couples massage experience. Although we had to leave our hotel, we thought it would be worth it to do this massage under the waterfalls. Plus Xpa was less expensive than Xcaret Arte. We opted for the 80 minute massage for $146.99. Pricing listed below.
25 min massage = $56.99
50 min massage = $89.99
80 min massage = $146.99
Xpa is only 10 min from Xcaret Arte and we have a free shuttle that takes us so that was convenient. The shuttle runs every 15-20 min. When you arrive to the Xcaret México Park, you have to show them you have purchased and have an appt with Xpa and you don't have to pay for the park. Well, not sure how that works for non Xcaret hotel people. Since we are staying at Xcaret Arte, all parks and activities are inclusive so our entrance to Xcaret México is free anyway. Check first before you book in case they make you pay for entrance to park, which is silly.
Once you get into the park, you literally have to walk all the way to the back of the park for Xpa. Once you find it, you walk down a few steps and to find the hidden space. If you see these cute little colorful mini boats labeled "Xpa", that's the spot.
We checked in and then two massage therapists guided us into the boats. They paddled to the other side where the massage tables were located. There were 3 sets of massage tables under the waterfall. There was a 4th massage table on the bridge over the water. Once we got there, we took off all jewelry.
I also noticed there were no changing rooms or showers, just the tables. We slid under the sheet fully clothed. Once I was under the sheet, they helped me take off my dress and bra. My husband had a shirt and shorts on so he took off his shirt.
I had lavender scent to set the mood. Selected coconut oil for the massage. The massage was very relaxing and I eventually fell asleep during the massage. My husband did too. We both got the deep tissue massage but I felt like it was more of a soothing massage vs a real deep tissue massage. Lots of aggressive rubbing mostly on my back. I would have loved more of a deep and intense massage to alleviate back pain.
All in all, the setting was cool but did not expect it to be inside the park like this. Still beautiful and still better than any typical massage room. The cost was less expensive than our hotel spa so it's all good. We paid for the ambiance. The sound of the waterfall was relaxing in itself. It's different and a cool experience as I mentioned. Glad we did it. read more
