This was advertised as a shredding service with regular consumer services but it is totally for commercial use only. No personal were available when I arrived even though it was over an hour before closing time. I gave it two stars only because the guy from another adjacent business tried to help me and called the business on his cell phone but no one was available. If you don't have a pallet full of paper, just go to Office Depot or somewhere like that. read more

We have used XpresShred for years but they went above and beyond last week. I had been carrying around several boxes of documents that needed to be shredded and finally remembered and after work gave them a call. This was my first experience with XpressShred as a residential client. You have the option to have a truck come to you or you can take your materials to their faculty. I opted to have the truck come to my house to shred 9 boxes. The representative arrived within the time window and was very cordial and helpful. The definition of efficiency. During the social distancing period , I pulled up to the front of the building, called the office and Karen took my personal information and directed me to another door. Justin met me outside and unloaded my boxes. He had me call the office again as he weighted them. Karen gave me the total and took my credit card info as I sat in the car. Had 7 seven large boxes of records, cost me $51. Very economical ! I was there probably 5-7 minutes. These folks are great!! read more

I'm happy to be the first to review this company! I've never had the need to shred a mass amount of paper but after a couple years of personal mail piling up (after identity theft concerns) and hating our home shredder we decided to take a chance on a bulk shredder. We entered the front lobby and were greeted by a nice receptionist who asked right away if we'd like to watch the paper being shredded. It was really a nice that she asked because I wanted to watch but I wasn't sure how to go about saying so. She had us pull around the back of the building and the warehouse worker unloaded our boxes and weighed them. He made conversation while he dumped the mail into the chipper. It went up a conveyor and then down into a hopper that forms it into bales. Totally Mr Roger's Neighborhood interesting! The warehouse worker let us know about other services they offer (without any sort of hard sell) - they dispose of computers and monitors, shred CDs, and many other things! All told I brought in 131 pounds of mail (!!!) and was out the door for only 32 bucks! We will definitely be going to see the folks at Xpres Shred again. read more

The process was very easy and the price was right. I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

This was not a secure shredding experience. I could see in the viewing monitor only the belt leading into the shredder, a piece of paper was stuck. I requested that they try to get this unstuck. They failed to do so, I had to speak to their scheduler. Eventually, they opened a door to climb in and get the paper. It was then that I saw that a lot of un-shredded paper was in the area they call overflow. I insisted they get this, some was blown on the road and I caught it, it was not my name, it was a Sam S, withholding the whole name here for security reasons. Now I am terrified that un-shredded paper is in the truck somewhere else . I couldn't see the shredded paper but the bits in the overflow was anything between full letter size pages and small pieces larger than the shredding I can do with my home shredder. I suggest that if you are concerned that your paper is really well shredded, you hire a company where you can see the shredded paper, ask the max size remaining, and make sure they don't have "overflow" areas in the truck where un-shredded paper could remain. I paid $125 and have NO feeling that my data are safely destroyed. read more

I was tasked with the responsibility of disposing of years and years (and more years) of confidential files, and did not know where to start. I called a few places that were rather picky about what they accepted and in what form. I randomly called XpressShred and spoke to Karen, who happily addressed all my concerns, offered a great price, was able to come short notice--and best of all; would take all of our items in folders, files, binders, etc... We did not have to sort anything or painstakingly remove clips, or metal! The super shredder truck literally ate all of our 270 bank boxes of files in a record two hours. We are moving and had a ton of old documents to shred. I went to XpresShred and could not believe how easy and inexpensive it was. From them taking the super heavy bags out of my car, to the opportunity to actually watch them shred my documents--it was quick, easy and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes!
