I got through security pretty early and decided to visit XpressSpa and get a gel mani. I chose the basic package, which does not do cuticle service. Sadly, the manicure was very poorly done. I filed my own nails after she did a pass, as my nails were still very uneven (mostly on the sides). While cleaning my nails, one of the nails came undone and the technician had to redo it. Not a good sign. I was unhappy with the uneven job and poor quality, but figured I didn't want to deal with drama so I paid and left. But then while waiting for my flight, I noticed that the gel was lifting up off on the thumb and was about to peel off. I went back to XpressSpa to try to get my money back. They said they could not offer a refund at the location; they did offer to fix the nail but my flight was about to start boarding so I wanted to get back to the gate. I am in communications with XpressSpa customer service to get a refund. $50 is too much money for a bad gel. Had a long layover at the Denver airport and, luckily this airport has a salon. So entirely grateful cause my nails were looking like claws. After reading some reviews, I was hesitant on going. It is a little pricy but be sure that you have a technician who will make your manicure last for a while. Again, I was hesitant on committing to the price until I saw the technician 's well filed nails. Plus, the reviews at other local nail salons were pretty low as well and I didn't think it was worth spending money on traveling. Jessica was super personable and welcomed me in. She walked me through each menu item to make sure I was happy with my choice. Every so often, she checked in on how I felt about the shaping. In addition, she took the time to help me decide on a color by testing a handful of polish. I left with a huge smile from our conversation and her careful eye on my nails outcome. I've made some pretty good decisions in my life. However, spending $35 on a 15 minute chair massage here at the Denver airport has been one of the better ones. After sleeping in a car for four days at Sasquatch Music Festival, you could say I was a little sore. On my way back from Seattle, I had a three hour layover in Denver. So, I did my usual roundabout of getting a sandwich from Einstein Bagels and a coffee in Caribou before hunkering down to work. Before I knew it, the sugar crave attack hit and I was walking around the terminal to find a sweet snack. I opted to hit another sweet spot instead when I saw Xpress Spa. I've seen them around at several different airports but always laughed it off. What was I thinking?! After I spoke with the front desk, they sat me in a full body massage chair to wait for my service. These chairs are not the kind where a soft vibration occurs. No, no. These massage chairs are legit and if someone were to tell me people are inside these chairs giving massages through them I might believe it. I asked for someone with the strongest hands for my massage and boy, did he deliver. He even told me that the strength of rub I was requesting could make big men cry. YUH. After any service, they offer a complimentary hour back in the massage chair. You can bet your bottom dollar I had no shame hopping back in and finished some work in the massage chair. I hopped on a bumpy plane after but kept my zen after my time at Xpress Spa. Can't believe I'm pumped for when I get to have a long layover here again! read more

I started to go into the location by gate c29/30 and had to take a call so I stopped and stood by their display table which was off against the wall. I set my laptop down and took the call. Within two minutes (of 4) I was INTERRUPTED and told I couldn't have my laptop near the merchandise. It was very abrupt, I called for since I had no food or beverage, and rude to interrupt. Due to the attitude I refuse to use this vendor here today and always. Pretty sad considering I fly here monthly into this terminal and now they've lost a frequent customer. I did call the manager in the airport and share my feedback. Hopefully they treat other customers and potential customers with better manners and attitudes. read more

This mini spa is the biggest gem in the airport the massages offered as well with the chairs take a flight delay into an enjoyable experience - my back was in so much paint from the frequent travels this year thus far and finding this place to kill time in between relaxed me so much and helps with a few kinks in my back: a must go read more

Don't waste your money !!! I was stopping through the airport waiting on my flight. I decided to get a pedi with gel polish. First, the place is dirty and the chairs are all peeling apart. The pillows are dirty and disgusting. I paid $60 for a pedi and tipped $5. I called the next day to let them know that the polish has chipped away and started to peel off. I've never had this happen before with gel polish !!! I'm so disappointed in this so called spa. When I called, I left a voicemail and they still have not called back. Bottom line: Accused of being a homophobe for asking for a female therapist when I was the only customer.. About 3 weeks ago, I was actively looking for this place during a layover because of a neck injury. I thinking, PERFECT! Nice, clean, decent prices. I was the only customer, 2 males, 2 females all free. A 6 foot 4 guy walks up and I politely say, "I'd prefer a female if you don't mind." I get massages at least monthly for a decade. I have made this polite request hundreds of times in a dozen different cities. The answer is almost always "No problem." But this guys sayes sarcastically, "Why? Do you have a problem with a mans hands touching you?" Direct quote, no kidding. Seriously?!!?!! I said, "No, but I have an injured neck, I'm looking for a soft touch and I don't know you people so I'm trying to give myself the best chance at success." (No offense, XpresSpa is a great concept but it's not exactly a 5 star resort with top of their class therapists..., for all I know these people are on their first job out of school so I'm trying to NOT aggravate my injury) I spent the next minute being accused of being a HOMOPHOBE by the female that replaced him who made no effort to prepare the chair. The woman kept saying humorlessly she was just as capable of hurting my injured neck as the big guy. I told her that it sounded like a threat. I walked away. I came back a few minutes later and asked to speak to the manager. The female was at the counter and smirked when I asked about the manager. I'm thinking, "Why would she smirk when a customer wants to report her behavior. " I checked the company website later. They are looking to hire a manager there. It seems these low level employees are running wild with no supervision. They insulted lost two customers, but didn't care. (My wife was watching from a short distance away) Not that it matters, but my last promotion at work had me moving to another city and rooming with an old friend and his gay partner for a year. So their ability to spot true homophobes seems a little off. LOL! Bottom line, Don't use this place until corporate gets them some supervision. Somebody needs to clean house and explain that customers on overlays come to relax, not to be lectured about their presumed social conscience. read more

Was traveling through Denver today and I thought I would get my nails done. With an hour and a half to spare I went out of the way from my terminal into terminal C to go to the xpress spa. Upon arriving I found that there was only one nail tech available and there was a 35 minute wait. All of that is good and fine. The issue was when I asked if I could get the next appointment they indicated it was wait list only. "But I need to grab some food real quick before my flight can I just put my name in and I'll be back" "No you have to wait here" In your experience is that risky, is there a pretty good chance I will jumped ahead of?" "I can't say sometimes your busy sometimes you're not now or not so busy" " but I'm just running to that little taqueria right across the court there can I just hey I'm here and run over there real quick I got 35 minutes I'll be right back? "No, you have to wait here." So I walked across the way grab the burrito on my return 10 minutes later somebody else was in the queue and I missed out on my appointment. I travel extensively and get my nails done weekly - f*** you xxpress nails spa I will never use your services in any airport, ever. . read more

I had just come off a three hour flight and had about 90 minutes to spend in the Denver airport. My back was already tightened up from the first leg of my journey. I thought it would be worth a try. I get regular massages at home each month. My guy told me that if I ever did an airport massage place to make sure to get at least 30 minutes because anything less than 30 minutes wouldn't really do much for anyone. I went with his advice and got a 30 minute chair massage (arm/neck/back). There was no wait when I arrived. I have noticed that this place gets mixed reviews, but my experience was outstanding. The gentleman who gave me my massage was very professional and did a thorough job. He worked out a ton of knots in my shoulders and upper back! I felt so much better when he was finished. I was relaxed, and my back was more open. The last part of my trip was definitely more comfortable as a result of this massage. I told him what my regular guy said about needing at least 30 minutes massages, and he agreed. He says it takes a certain amount of time for a therapist to figure out what your body needs and then about 10 minutes for your muscles to get warmed up. If I could go back and do it all over again, I'd probably do 45 or 60 minutes because it was that fantastic. My only suggestion: It would be nice if there was someplace to put your valuables. I know my purse and carry on were right next to me, and I tried to trust that they would be ok, but you never know. It's not really possible to keep an eye on your stuff when you're getting a massage even if it is right next to you. read more

I really needed a manicure and was hoping to squeeze it in between flights - I bee-lined for xpres and was greeted by a concierge and added to the waitlist. The weather was terrible and everyone's flights were delayed so the spa was packed. Lisa was moving people through as efficiently as possible, and got me in, did a wonderful job on my French manicure and got me to my next flight! She was so friendly and gracious, and did a great job considering my time crunch. Their pedi's looked awesome and wish I could've stayed but sadly had to fly out. Strange to even say this, but I had one of the best massages of my life at the Denver airport. That is saying a lot because I have treated myself to massages at The Ritz, Four Seasons, etc. The technician was Marcus, and I was expecting the usual airport chair massage. I don't even know how to explain it, but he used perfect pressure, had a cool technique he used on my neck, and I walked away feeling so great. Massage by James was amazing. He is strong, precise, and calming. You could tell he is proud of what he is doing and believe in it--it makes a big difference. I travel often and have receive many massage at the airport as well as hotels. He is top notch. When I fly to DEN next time, I will sure to ask him for massage. Message to the management 1. James should get a gold start for his technique, customer service and professionalism. 2. Please staff more manicurist. As many reviews satiated the wait was so long (more than 45min) that I had to give up on getting them. That is a missed revenue for you. 3. Go over customer service with front desk staff. She was defensive when she was explaining about how the customer needs to wait in the spa premises for entire time to be on the wait list for mani pedi. Honestly my expectation for this place was low. It's one massage place in an airport so i thought the quality won't be as good as other regular spas. I really needed some warm massage after a long and busy week so i didn't care and walked in. My body was aching from the shoulder, neck and back that i've been taking a bath quite often which didn't help much. There was no wait so yay!! And I got a 30 min table massage from Irma. ($60 for 30min) She was very thorough and the pressure was what i really wanted. I had to ask her later how she can keep her hands so warm because the warm hands made the massage feel sooooo much better. Thanks to Irma. I'm now super relaxed and on my connecting flight. Poor customer service, not sure how you can run a business like this, unless you are in an airport and customers have no other choice. I went to location in Concourse C (store 56). They had a long wait and called the other store across from gate C30 (store 59). I was told to head down there because the wait would be 15 min. When I arrived at that store I was told the wait was 45 minutes, and when I said he other store called, they told me someone had walked in before I arrived. If I am being sent down to another location, why would they not hold the appointment for me?? I returned to the other store to check their wait, and I let them know my spot was given away. Rather than apologize, the woman justified that if they got another customer, they would take them. I tried to explain that if they are sending a customer down to another store, they should hold the spot for them. But it was falling on deaf ears. read more

I had a great experience today at XpresSpa! I had gotten a gel manicure from another salon in Denver and had peeling and lifting after just 3 days! But I was able to walk right up and be seen here for a new gel manicure while I waited for my flight. The classic manicure service was great and included a sugar scrub and hot towels! I was very impressed that they also welcomed my travel companion (aka my husband) to sit in the massage chairs while I received my service. How awesome is that? My wife tried both of these at DIA. The first one in the center C Concourse had no one checking people in and a line of people waiting. She finally had to ask the masseuse, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "maybe after 11am for nails." There was no one doing nails and it was nearly 10am. The second one near gate C30 was worse. There was a male receptionist but no other staff. (they claim to open at 6am!) He advised that there might be a nail tech in at 1030am but he couldn't be sure "because of the parking and security lines." Um, don't the employees account for that to get to work on time? Inside both spas there were people sitting in the massage chairs eating various snacks and take out meals, not very appealing or sanitary. They were not receiving any services. This place is a joke. I went by and asked for an eyebrow wax. This is a service that takes about 10 minutes max. The girl tells me it'll be an hour before the cosmetologist can get to me. I find this odd because it's an airport spa. "Express" is a misnomer. This is an airport. Do you think people have all kinds of time to wait? If it's truly an express service, and with your target customer in mind (people traveling! On schedules! With not a lot of time to spare!) then staff your "express spa" accordingly. Here's where it really went south. I sit down in a massage chair to wait and about 45 minutes later I get up and ask the girl if she has an estimate on when the cosmetologist will be ready and she says "well she just went to lunch. Company policy makes us take lunch every five hours." Are you kidding me? You have someone waiting for a 10 minute service and the person just heads off for lunch?! I said, OK well how long is lunch?" She replies: it's usually about a half hour. Wow! Awesome service! Really great business model.... not. Last time I attempted to get a pedicure here it was the same story - would be over an hour wait or something. I love the concept of an express airport spa. It's a great idea! I've always found it unfortunate that stores in airports got a bad reputation. Sadly, this location has fallen into the stereotype. I was so looking forward to getting a manicure and pedicure after a weekend of hiking, but no go here. They said nope sorry no more people available to do nails. So, so bad. Definitely the worst spa I' EVER been to. I got a pedicure because my flight was delayed majorly and I was going to pressed for time at my arrival destination. My 2 year old niece could have done a better job staying in the lines. The girl hardly did anything. 4 days later the polish has completely come off 2 of my toes. I had originally planned on a manicure as well. By my request she asked another girl to help because of how slow the pedi went. Nice place and a great amenity, and I also had a lovely woman do my mani but it was very sloppy work and quite slow. I'd suggest using tables for manicures rather than pedi chairs. Lighting wasn't adequate and positioning was poor- making it tough to provide adequate service. I would not return. read more
