I went into transformations spa today for my first time today with multiple pictures of intricate designs, this one was my favorite, but I had a back up in case she said this one was too complicated. To my surprise Judy was more than willing to give it a shot. I showed her a picture and she was able to get this masterpiece done in just a little over an hour, the best part was I found her on Groupon. I had a hot stone massage here yesterday. I've been looking forward to it all week! While it was nice, it wasn't great and sometimes it's the little things that make the difference. My first impression when I went to lay on the table was stunned. As a former massage therapist, everything in that room should be about comfort and cleanliness, but having 1 piece of paper hand towel laid on the face rest just felt dirty. You could literally have a dirty fabric towel on there and it would feel cleaner. It really felt like my therapist was just going through the motions, I didn't feel that sense of care. She was strong and firm but her heart wasn't in it. She didn't do the front of my shoulders or top chest area, and after mentioning that my upper back and shoulders are aching, the back and front should both be addressed to really open up and release that area. And she didn't finish on the head, so everything that had been building up, stayed there and I left with a headache. No water or tea was offered upon entering or leaving and every good therapist know that after a massage, water is a must! Especially with hot stone because the heat from the stones dehydrate you, stirs up all your circulation and gets the muscles working. I forgot to take any in the car and thankfully live close so after I got home I got some water and my headache went away. read more

Gross. I booked a massage here last minute because everywhere else was booked a month out. First impression walking in was the salon area, which was OK. No one greeted me right away and then one of the stylists asked if she could help me. I said I was here for a massage and she directed me to the next room over. The room was old, run down, and smelled like dirty gym socks. I've had massages before, and this was not AT ALL an environment conducive to relaxing. No soft music, no candle, nothing that would indicate that massages were done there. There was no receptionist in the area, and I was super disappointed because I was expecting something WAY different. I started to feel uncomfortable wondering what my massage would be like if the reception area was like that. I left and called to tell them I needed to cancel. They should stick to hair cuts here and not call it a "SPA". read more

So I thought long and hard about this review. But here it goes. I walked in Saturday morning and the owner set me up with an appointment for noon same day (super grateful for this). The stylist I was scheduled with did not come in ( totally understand, things happen) and the owner was very nice and apologetic. My stylist shelan (not sure if that's how you spell her name) took me in between her clients to make sure my hair color got done, and she was super sweet and did put the hair color on really fast and I totally understand. The owner assisted with rinsing my hair color out and shampoo. All was good until...1. They charge an extra $20 for each additional bowl of color (same color) they have to use and 2. Thr hair color was not rinsed completely out of my hair and now have hair dye all over my pillows, the shirt I was wearing at salon and my work clothes. 3. There was hair color left all over my forehead by my scalp, which I did clean off when I got home, however you should not let a client leave a salon like that. Now as far as #1 goes, they should really disclose that upfront for the extra fees. It's not okay to tell customer as they are paying, especially when a customer is on a budget. As for #2, I mean I get the squeezed me in and all, but seriously do a better job at rinsing and shampooing customers hair. And #3, not a super big deal, that mainly hurts the salon if people asked where I got my hair done and I tell them. Everyone was extremely nice, and I love how my hair turned out. But just beware of hidden fees. I do not know at this point if I will be going back or not, but overall not a bad salon. read more

I came in for a lash lift and she explanied everything she was doing in detail, was very thorough, and made sure I was relaxed and comfortable. Well needless to say after a very expensive procedure what was supposed to last for 3+ years was completely faded visibly uneven at Cetera came in to transformations CYNTHIA took care of me at a fraction of the cost and quite clearly knew exactly what she was doing took the time to measure double checked everything made sure I was OK with it first really put the time and effort and care into it and could tell she was highly professional at what she does much much different than my first experience. Too much gossip between the stylists while getting hair done. Talking to each other while I'm sitting in the chair makes me feel way unimportant. Just feel the personal attention is not there. Don't get your nails done there either, cuz they'll turn out horrid and uneven. This place needs a serious facelift too. The entry is not welcoming at all. Too cluttered and crammed. Owner talks too much about slacker husband not able to get a job in several years and daughters with no baby daddys. Really? I don't care. I didn't come here to listen to your personal problems. She has a great eye for color and finds fun ways to incorporate trends within my budget. I come to her every 3 weeks (I never bothered to get manicures more than a few times a year before meeting her), and my manicure doesn't chip in between despite washing a lot of dishes by hand, going to the gym, and typing all day for my job. This girl is offering a deal to good to be true. She quoted me a price based off of a very exaggerated discrimination of my wife's hair so I could get as realistic of a price as possible. Long story short i paid more then what was quoted, hair was not completed and my wife was given a mildewed towel and told to dry her own hair and left with a wet head an appointment for Saturday. by the time she was done she would have cost me more than someone with more experience and professionalism and a clean salon. When I asked her what happened she blamed the fact that my wife's hair was to long. After purchasing a Groupon, I was scheduled with Erin for a hair color retouch and haircut. It felt like I was with a 'student' who didn't have much experience and needed guidance. It took over 3 hours just for a color and cut, when I got out of the chair after being shampooed, my back was SOAKED! (I've never had this happen in 30 plus years of getting my hair washed!) I asked to keep my highlights and they are now ALL GONE! (She did an all over color!) I liked the staff the customer service provided by the staff, the facility itself is okay, and after many attempts to 'correct' the haircut, it was alright. Don't waste your time! I started going to this salon in October, and while the new owner, Jennifer, seemed very disorganized and scattered, I liked how she cut my hair, the reasonable prices, and her passion for her business. I returned in December and things seemed more organized and it was a better experience. A few days ago, I booked an online appointment (and received confirmation) for today - which would have been my third visit - but when I arrived, the doors were locked. A lady who was inside opened it and told me that Jennifer was not there and they were closed and in the process of moving. If they knew they were moving, they shouldn't have been allowing appointments, or at the very least they should have reached out to let me know they had to cancel the appointment. Adding to my irritation, I drove there in a snow storm and wouldn't otherwise have left my nice, warm house at all except for this appointment. Beyond irritating! read more

I have been a client at Transformations Spa & Salon since July. I have used many of the services at the shop from getting my haircut to hi lights/lo lights, manicures & pedicures. Also I've used the red light bed and the vibration machine. I've also done the dermaplaning which was just amazing. I've even done the spray tan. The employees at this salon are awesome and very friendly. It is a very diverse atmosphere and everyone who walks through the door is made to feel at home. I'm so glad that there are so many different spa options to do under one roof. I will remain a frequent customer to this facility. read more

I called to see if they could fit me in for a cut and partial highlights as my regular salon was unexpectedly closed on the day of my appointment. The owner fit me in and I met Cynthia, my stylist. She is a ninja with color - I have short dark brown hair and anything more than thin strands of caramel highlights makes me look like I came from the 80's and she did a perfect job. She kept checking the color and took the solution off in sections so it would look even and natural. A bonus was the fantastic cut and instructions on how to blow it dry. This salon is up and coming. The owner had a lot of work to do to turn the former ugly salon (different owner) into a more charming space that she is still working on. I thoroughly recommend it. read more

I made an appointment for a perm. They had quick openings. I made sure that they did perms on a regular basis as some salons wont do them. I was assured they did. I sat in the chair and showed a picture of the amount of curl I wanted. I also told the stylist that my hair was hard to curl. My hair was visibily and obviously processed as it had grown out. Trying to get the perm before getting color. The rolling was quick. As the stylist took out the rollers I could tell it wasn't curly on the front. Sat in the chair and I barley had a wave in front and some curls in the back. I would not recommend this salon for a perm. Maybe another stylist would have beem better. Not happy with the turn out or the price paid for a complete fail. read more

Ok I was never going to say anything but damn I have to I have been going here to get my nails done for a few months every two weeks or so the nail lady's are very very nice well I decided to get my hair done about a month ago I wanted to go blond again anyways the lady that did my hair I'm not sure her name left a metal hair clip in my hair when putting me under the dryer it hurt so so sooo bad well not only did it hurt but I'm pretty sure that was why a ton of my hair fell out over the next few days like it broke off so much of my hair broke off I was horrified but still didn't say anything even though I should have and I continued to get my nails done every two weeks well now I have a horrible nail fungus it hurts pretty bad and I had to go to a dr and get on antibiotics and it's just not getting better at all I'm horrified and really upset so I figured I should let some people know that I would not go here they have no idea what they are doing and they for sure are not cleaning the nail tools like they should be .. read more
