INSANE!!! SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! We could not recommend this place enough for those looking to have a REAL adventure and do something out of the norm this IS IT! Dave, our driver knew how to take on the steepest inclines and crazy sand dune turns! Be prepared for sand in your teeth and 3 hours of a once in a lifetime experience! We HIGHLY recommend this company for your next adventure tour. We were a family of 7 with 2 kids (9 and 13) and they loved it!

I had an absolute blast on my sunset tour Sunday with my guide, Kevin. The experience of driving the UTV in the Sand Flats and getting to see an amazing sunset was pretty cool. I also really enjoyed the overlook of the Colorado River and generally just riding the trail. There's just enough perceived danger to keep it really entertaining! Kevin also had a lot of knowledge about the trail and the various danger spots where people tend to wreck and seeing the famous Hell's Revenge spot was awesome as well. All in all, a great tour and company f you're looking to ride 4x4s while in Moab.

Our tour guise for the 3 hr sunset tour was really great. I recently had foot surgery and our guide, Zed Holloway, was professional, funny, caring for our safety and special needs and we all learned things about the formations and where to look that we could have never known or found on our own. Thank you again for a great memory!

I had been to Moab on Easter Jeep Safari 25 years ago with my Jeep club and drove the Hells Revenge and Fins trail in my own Jeep. I'm older now and no longer own a Jeep, so my wife gave me an early Father's Day gift of a 4.5 hour U-drive tour with Extreme 4X4 Tours. Our guide Austin was great; he guided us over some of the same difficult obstacles I drove my own Jeep over years ago, giving us a proper briefing on how to handle each one in a safe manner. I never thought I was in any danger while driving the difficult sections, but I did find a few sections to be quite "hair raising" while overcoming them. Austin also pointed out several interesting features and geography of the area, making our tour much more than just a 4X4 "thrill ride". As a side note, I found it interesting that these Kawasaki 4X4s handled the trail with great finesse and less stress than I recall experiencing in my own CJ5 years ago. I can see why they are so popular and outnumber the Jeeps on the trails. I highly recommend Extreme 4X4 Tours as a very worthwhile addition to your visit to Moab. I know I will certainly remember my experience on that trail ride for a long time to come!

This was an amazing, awesome, exhilarating, exciting, memorable, time! Don't hesitate, just book it...you'll be glad you did! Aaron, our guide (and movie buff), was phenomenal. He made the experience fun and challenging! I would highly recommend this company!

We did the 2.5 hour guided tour. They found a guide for us the same day and Austin our guide was Fabulous! Knowledgeable, kept us safe with the highest adrenaline rush we have ever had! This is not a Disney ride! It is so much more! Price, reservations with Emma and Britney were the best! Highly recommended this was our first time doing anything like this and it was Amazing!!!

Got in on a morning, spur of the moment, and what a way to have fun on my birthday. I've seen vehicles drive up giant boulders before, but never thought I'd experience that. An amazing adventure for try in Moab. Thanks, Dave!

What an amazing experience!! Gerrit is an amazing driver that exudes confidence and has a great personality, he took us on a thrilling ride through intense fun obstacles. Passengers from different companies will be taking pictures and videos of your experience, wishing they chose Xtreme 4X4. Your adventure will be what others envy.

Had so much fun doing this and so unexpected how involving it would be. My Apple Watch said I burned 450 calories by the end of it purely from the adrenaline pumping. It was really insane in the best possible way and I can't wait to go again one day. You better do yourself a favor and buy tickets ASAP if you're considering it.

This tour was so much fun! My friend and I opted for the tour where you get to drive your own vehicle- it was scary and exhilarating. We climbed up some steep and rocky terrain and then back down, saw amazing views, and were provided snacks. We booked a sunset tour and unfortunately didn't get to catch the sunset really. Kevin was our tour guide and it was good. The tour is a little pricey but definitely memorable and worth doing.

I had the most fun time with Austin he is the most fun, funny, and nice guy. It was the most fun thing I ever did. I would definitely come back. -- Ace

Stunning! Absolutely stunning!…read moreI've traveled on four continents and this is easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Park Avenue was my favorite, then the Delicate Arch, but holy heavens, around literally every turn there was another absolute stunner of a view. I took easily 100 pictures during my relatively short time in the park. Then, when you drive back out, you see all the same stunning views, but at different angles, and you experience those things in a brand new way. This was easily the highlight of my 3,600 mile, 12-day, 9-state road trip. You have to come here, it is nearly unbelievable how beautiful it is. You have to experience it for yourself. Absolutely one of the most beautiful places in the US, without question!

Arches NP actually was a pleasant surprise to me. I'd heard it's small and underwhelming compared…read moreto other parks (e.g. Zion) which I do believe is true re: the size comparison, but honestly I don't think you should compare this park to ones like Zion/Glacier because the expectation is just different. This park's hikes follow one long main road that ends around a campsite area that goes to several arches including Broken Arch. I drove out their first and did this hike which is really more of a long trail. The arch was MUCH bigger than I'd expected, and it was cool to see! The weather wasn't the best -- scattered light showers creeping in but thankfully it never rained too heavily, and despite the trails being all sand/sandy dirt, my shoes stayed fairly dry and it didn't get too muddy. Along this trail are some other arches e.g. tapestry arch (there's three of them connected together). The trail is pretty flat and manageable for almost anyone, just a few areas that are a little more uphill than most but no scrambling or anything. Other cool hikes are the delicate arch trail (even if you just do the short viewpoint one, which I did), the sand dune arch, and the double arch/north window arch (more of a long walk than a hike). The skyline arch is also a nice easy pull off pic (or short walk to get closer), and the Park avenue and Garden of Eden viewpoints (+- other early viewpoints in the park) are absolutely stunning. If you're in the area, I would absolutely rec a trip to Arches NP! If you only have time to do one park in the area my personal pref would be Canyonlands rather than arches, but you can certainly see near all of arches within a day (or even a few hours if you just want to hit some of the major spots) whereas Canyonlands is MASSIVE and some areas require AWD/high clearance so Arches is much more accessible. If you really just want to hit the highlights in both, you can do it in one day (that's what I did -- left around 7a to go to mesa arch and grand overlook viewpoints @Canyonlands, then drove to arches and hit all those short trails/viewpoints mentioned above. Was done by about 6p the same day).

Luna handled it with ease, hopping right up and then looking back at us as if to say, "You coming?" The trail follows the river nearly the entire way to a waterfall, which is just under a mile in, with another mile back. You don't necessarily have to do the full hike--there are plenty of spots along the creek where you can stop, let your dog swim, or cool off before turning back. If you do continue, the waterfall at the end makes for a rewarding finish. The water is cold but refreshing, and I can imagine it gets crowded on weekends. Luckily, when we went (weekday afternoon), it wasn't too busy. This trail is very dog-friendly, and most dogs are off-leash. That's great if your pup plays well with others, but if your dog isn't comfortable around other dogs, this may not be the best choice. Luna swam in the creek several times along the way and capped it off with a dip in the waterfall--she absolutely loved it. We didn't swim ourselves since we didn't bring suits, but next time we might. This is definitely a place we'd return to and a spot I'd highly recommend for dog owners.

There is also a dog waste station to get poop bags, but you'll need to carry it out with you as there are no garbage cans along the way. The first few minutes of the hike are out in the open-lots of sun and no shade. But quickly you'll find yourself along the river with trees all around you. There is sandstone that you'll hike through-it can be a little slippery. A little further in you'll find that the trail crosses the river. Plan on getting wet even though there are rocks that you can walk across. Keep going and you'll end up at a beautiful waterfall and pool. I'm told there is another further on, but we turned around after this point. We will come back again and see what surprises await us beyond this point.
