Beverly was our guide, she was amazing, and following her made the fear of hell's revenge melt down. She was excited to share details about trail, let it be dinosaur prints, hells gate or movies shot in the area, she seems to know it all. She was so happy to answer any question that you may have. Their OHVs were great and helpful to gain confidence on this highly technical trail. Staff at the office were extremely courteous, accommodating and friendly. If you take their dashcams, it will fall frequently, be ready to attach it (laws of physics, not their fault). These are suction cups mounted on the rear view mirror. But that doesn't take away over all 5+ star rating for them, I'd still go and take another tour when I'm in Moab. read more

We took the half and half sunset tour and had an amazing time! The tour guides and owners, Beverly and Dave, were so entertaining and knowledgeable about the area we loved our time with them! We got to drive a new Kawasaki side by side with 4 seats, seatbelts and doors. The side by side is easy to control and we felt safe and confident in it. As four adults, there was plenty of space for us to ride comfortable. We began on Fins and Things, took a great tour of the trail and Dave found lines that were exciting and challenging without over exerting the side by side. We stopped to hear about the area and had time to take some amazing photos. We continued onto hell's revenge where we took some amazing trails to the top of some of the highest points overlooking the area. Watched some Jeep's come up the gate and watched the sunset near the horizon overlooking the river! The tour included water to drink and an ice chest for your use which was great in the summer sun! This was the highlight of our vacation! We came to Moab over the Thanksgiving holiday and wanted a fun family adventure! We had no idea what a life changing memorable experience this would be. After researching (which my family says I do too much of) Moab UTV tours, Moab Cowboy ended up as my 1st choice and they did not disappoint! My Husband and I needed to be at our daughter's Senior college sports game in Grand Junction, CO end of April 2024. We booked Moab Cowboy and did the 4-hour tour with Dave. Let me tell you - it was so much fun! Dave has a great personality, fun to talk to and is so knowledgeable of the area. He gave us great instructions on driving the UTV and made us feel so comfortable. I am so happy I tried driving the UTV and didn't just sit there and let my husband drive! It was exhilarating and I'm so proud of myself that I did it. My whole family then had to travel back to 3 weeks later for my daughter's graduation and of course after having so much fun weeks before, we booked Moab Cowboy again and Dave as our guide. This time reserving 3 UTV's so everyone would have plenty of fun driving. Our family had a blast! Every time I looked at them, their smiles were huge and the laughter was so great to hear! It is such a unique experience. My group doesn't like to sit still, they like adventure and Moab Cowboy gave them incredible memories to last a lifetime. Pick this company!! With so many UTV tours available we were unsure which to pick, but we picked the BEST there was. Kent was so knowledgeable. He took the time to stop and share history, landmarks and all kinds of information on the area. My daughter is loves to learn and talk, and he went right along with her, teaching and sharing. Her favorite part was the dinosaur footprints! We felt completely safe the entire time. The UTVs were clean and a blast to drive and ride. The scenery and views are unbeatable. We did the morning ride and got out early, and when we got done boy were we glad! The line to get into the park was over a mile long. So we were very glad he started us early to beat the crowd. The ride was never rushed, we were able to enjoy the scenery and have fun! read more

Not sure if my experience was different than other reviews or if my version of safety is different, but I didn't feel like this tour was safe at all. There was basically no instruction or prep--we were told where the pedals and ignition were, and then we went straight up a cliff. There was no driving instruction or trail prep other than being told to follow inches behind the person in front of us who was following the line being led by the tour guide. This idea seems reasonable in theory (if we all follow the same line that the guide picks out, we'll be fine), but then I would watch how each of the five cars in front of us would get slightly further and further from the guide's original path (basically a game of telephone), and the car in front of us was not paying attention at all (we watched him fiddle with his phone and point out scenery to his family), so we were never sure if we were driving the right lines or not by following him (and a lot of this was on a pretty scary road--the kid in the car in front of us was literally screaming for the first 15 minutes and then had to be held by his mom for the rest of the ride) We later passed another tour where all the children were wearing helmets, and then another one where everyone was wearing a helmet, which also made me feel like safety wasn't a priority here--helmets had never been mentioned, and no one in our tour was wearing a helmet, not even the 2 and 3 year olds in the first car. The tour part was fun. I enjoyed the views and the info about dinosaurs. I would try a different tour company if I had it to do over (ask about helmets and other safety measures!), but if you do end up going with this one, make sure you're in the front of the line not in the back. read more

Our family of 5 had an incredible time!! Our children are ages (6, 10 & 13). We took the Sunset 4x4 UTV tour to Hell's Revenge. What a thrill! Everyone loved it! At first, I was nervous but, soon realized that the vehicle was not going to slip and that we were in good hands with Cricket (co-owner of Moab Cowboy). She took the time to make sure that we were safe and at ease. This tour was the highlight of our trip!! As soon as it was over, I wanted to go back and do it all over again!! Our family has jet boated class 6 rapids on the Niagara River, done airboat rides through the Louisiana swamps, and whitewater rafted the New River Gorge, and this tour in Moab is one of the most fun & adventurous things we have ever done as a family! We booked the tour as riders rather than drivers, and I'm so glad we did that because we would have freaked out driving ourselves. We went places & saw things that we ordinarily would never have gotten to do if it weren't for Kent. That he was also very personable was a bonus. Although some of the trails were extremely unnerving, Kent's expertise got us there & back safely with no problems whatsoever. Several people made a point of telling us along the way that we were with the best possible guide & driver. Finding out he has decades of experience in search/rescue in the area & has lived and worked in that park for his entire life made me feel like we were in very good hands. Kent is so knowledgeable about the history of Moab & the surrounding area, as well as the natural history. He stopped & showed us petrified dinosaur & bird tracks, he pointed out mouse, lizard and insect tracks in the sand. He showed us local plants & explained how the Native Americans utilized them for food, water or medicine. In addition to the good company, a fun adventure, and the learning experience, there was that MAGNIFICENT scenery that was just breath taking at every turn. Kent really made the trip, he was born and raised in Moab and was full of history. We made multiple stops along the tour where Kent shared insights about the town of Moab and some unbelievable off-roading stories. Like most of Utah, there were breathtaking views along the tour which we were given ample time to take in and snap some photos. Woah! What a fun morning. My wife, parents, 4 year old little girl and I took the UTV out with our guide and just had a ball. The driving was actually more intense than I thought it would be(this is a good thing). On the initial hill in I was thinking 'Oh, OK, this a for real experience, not some cookie cutter cattle drive.' Writing about the drive really just won't do it justice so I'll just say it exceeded my expectations in every way. Our guide took great care of us and even brought along a few blankets for my little girl to wrap up in. We stopped occasionally for her to speak about the history of the area, geology and paleontology. She is a fifth generation Moab native and had some really interesting anecdotes. The only negative was that my smile lines are etched that much deeper now because I was grinning like an idiot the whole time. read more
