We did the half-day Fisher Towers tour on 5/23/26. Our guide, Savannah, was knowledgeable and SO fun! We had the absolute best time with her -- she went along with our goofy vibe from the get-go and even took pictures of our whole group along the way since none of us wanted to bring our phone on the river. I felt safe doing the Class I/II rapids and even got out to swim in one, per Savannah's suggestion. The bus ride to the put-in is about 45 minutes and about half that on the way back and the other guides get up and give information about the surrounding landscape in a very funny, engaging way. Would absolutely do this again, next time, with our kids! 10/10. read more

Our Fisher Towers full-day rafting trip with Red River Adventures was one of the highlights of our vacation, and our guide, Molly, was a huge reason why! She was hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and kept us laughing all day with river guide stories and jokes. One of our favorite parts was when Molly pointed out a Padlé Oarefish. We'd never even heard of one before! She explained they're unusually flat fish, most commonly yellow with blue, red, or pink accents, and they're surprisingly well camouflaged along the river. Such a cool thing to learn! She also showed us a rock formation that looked exactly like Winnie the Pooh wearing a beret and breathing fire. Once you see it, you can't unsee it! The wildlife was unbelievable. We saw bighorn sheep, three otters, geese, blue herons (mud flamingos), a baby deer, a fox catching a fish, and a huge eagle nest. Molly said we're officially her lucky group because they usually only see a couple of those animals, and she'd never seen the deer or the fox on a trip before. Lunch was fantastic too! The "conewiches" were surprisingly delicious. We were a little hesitant because we'd never tried Mediterranean food before, but the homemade Mediterranean salad with feta and kettle chips folded into a tortilla absolutely rocked. I'm still wishing I had Molly's recipe! If you're thinking about rafting in Moab, book the Fisher Towers trip with Red River Adventures. If you get Molly as your guide, consider yourself lucky. You'll leave with great memories, sore cheeks from laughing, and probably a newfound appreciation for the rare and majestic Padlé Oarefish. Oh, and I t's officially Hank's Bubble Bath in our book. We really enjoyed the fisher towers full day rafting tour! Went with our 10yo and 12yo daughters. They were able to paddle and really enjoyed the trip. We got to swim through one of the rapids which was so fun! The rapids were small but fun. Lunch was delicious - curried chicken salad, chickpea salad, and guacamole cones, with Oreos! Our guide Liz, and Team Leader Aaron made sure we had a great trip - they pointed our animals like wild goats, blue herons, and bald eagles, and Liz really helped make sure we had a great day. We had the best time with Red River Adventures. We did the full day towers (?) rafting experience. The drive to the drop off spot was beautiful, the guides were informative and skilled, the float down the river was not high adventure (we went early July) but the guides kept it so fun for our kids. Lunch was easy - they set up super quick - caesar salad wraps, waters/juices, chips, chicken salad, and Oreos. Some of my favorite parts was the fact that ALL the guides and bus driver were all young women. I loved that my kids saw these women do all the heavy lifting (literally and figuratively) and think it sets an awesome example to my son and young daughter. A few days later as we drove out of Moab, we drove down the same 10-15 miles of road we took on the bus. I didn't realize how much my kids had absorbed during the bus ride, but they rattled off all the facts, stories and sites that the guide had shared on our way to rafting. read more

My friend and I have been here twice now and it's been a blast both times. We did canyoneering with them a couple of years ago and had a blast. Our guide was great! We came back to them this year because we had such a great time last time. This time we did white water rafting, we opted for the Fishers Towers 1/2 day trip. Our trip on the bus on the way with the awesome "Miss. Frizzle" was great. Our white water rafting guide was Eli and boy was he a good time. If you get him watch out for the back right seat in the raft especially on the Professor rapids you may just fly out as he waves I would highly recommend this trip to anyone it was such a great time! read more

Everything about the company and the trip was fine, mediocre, and meh. We did the full day rafting trip and the entire thing lasted 6 hours, but only 3.5 of those were actually on the water. There were about 60 people that started various rafting tours at the same time as us and so checking them in, loading up buses, driving to the put in point, and getting everyone onto boats took a long time. The scenery was beautiful and the guide was decent, but there was a lot of lulls in their interpretive guiding and in the river itself with long slow flat stretches. The few rapids we did were pretty fun, but short and few and far between. We eventually pulled out of the river and again had to wait quite a while for all the boats to come out and then everyone load back onto the buses and then drive back through most of Moab. read more

I actually did two trips with red River. I did a canyoneering tour with hunter and rafting with Kelly. My main thing I reached out was to do canyoneering and it was wonderful. Hunter was super personable and helpful. I got lucky to be the only one on the tour so we had a nice early hike and rappelling. I loved it. I can't wait to do another one. As far as the rafting it was relaxing. Kelly is super knowledgeable of the area and friendly. I'm glad I visited red River and look forward to when I'm in town again to do another trip read more

Did the longer canyoneering route and it was so fun! From my very first call to ask if I was too out of shape to do it, the owner was incredibly nice and helpful and honest. I did it anyway haha and it was one of the coolest experiences. My guide was Michaela and there was only one other person on my tour. Michaela was super knowledgeable about the area and canyoneering and the plants and how the soil works! Very cool to have someone with a real love for the area. Rappelling was terrifying but she was very reassuring. Safety was number one and she also took on a lot of the burden. I tried to lift her giant backpack once and couldn't even pick it up. And she was wearing it for hours while climbing all over the place! Overall just a really good and organized group. I really did something I wasn't sure I could do and it was thanks to Red River! I would one hundred percent recommend this experience. If felt very genuine even though I was being a mega tourist. read more

My family went on the Morning Glory Cayoneering trip with this outfit. First, the office staff and the staff answering the phone is top notch. I would give them 5 stars. Carl did a great job explaining our options, cost, etc on the phone. The check in process the day of the event the guy was really friendly and helpful as well. Unfortunately, the guides are not top notch. This is bad. Our guides were Adam and Evan. Adam was ok. However, Evan had other things to do besides be our guide. From the time the bus left headquarters until we got back on the van all he wanted to do is get home to watch the World Cup. The sprint of a trip was a huge disappointment. We never felt unsafe going down the ropes but going through the bolder field was a different story. There wasn't a guide in site. They were too busy setting up the next rappel. Many in the group had issues getting down the boulder field post the first rappel. Other people on the trip helped each other out but not a guide. I would not suggest this trip primary for this boulder field. It is not difficult if you have some experience with the outdoors and climbing. However, if you read the write up on this trip you would not expect this boulder field. I expect that if a guide had been there to help us through it, it would not have seemed so challenging. However, a bunch of people never out this way and many who this was their first time doing this sort of thing it was hard. Thankfully, my husband and another gentleman are big guys. They were able to physically help people off the rocks. Second rappel is nice. A great arch waits for you. Afterward there is about a two mile hike out of the area to the vans. It is easy enough. It was a bit of a sprit for us to keep up with Evan. Many times the group was broken into three sub groups. The group that could keep up with Evan. A middle group. Then the slower group which thankfully Adam stayed with. My husband and I were in the middle group. Many times we stopped and waited for Adam as there were forks in the road and we had no idea the way. Once we all caught up with Evan and his group waiting for us in the shade. As soon as we all got there he was off again. Hey guy. Maybe these guys in the back need a break? It is June in Moab. A tad warm. If you do this trip in the summer take more water than they tell you. My husband and I had five litters and drank every last drop. Overall, we will not use this outfit again. The experience wasn't worth the cost and we didn't like the attitude of the guide. read more

Was lucky enough to climb with Carl, who is actually the owner of Red River, during our half day experience in the Wasatch. All 3 of us in our group were pretty novice outdoor climbers but that was not an issue at all! Gear was provided- all great quality (black diamond) gear and even provided climbing shoes for those who didn't have. Carl made sure we were all super comfortable with the basics of climbing and belay before we started the day. He gave awesome advice to help us start thinking about technique instead of just not falling. His patience and genuine enthusiasm for climbing (and everything outdoors!) really brought our experience to the next level. Everyone got a chance to climb three different routes all in just a half day. After seeing the level of passion that went into just our little half day corporate outing, I can with full confidence recommend Red River as a stellar guide service for any of your adventuring needs. read more

We did the Morning glory canyoning trip on Wednesday and it was perfect! Dan was our guide and he was very knowledgeable. He was helpful, laid back, and fun! The rappelling was so awesome, no experience needed. You are always on a safety rope as well so you feel very secure and safe. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a different hiking experience! You get to see a side of the trail you normally wouldn't. The hike is about 3 miles. read more

We booked this tour as part of our honeymoon trip visiting various National Parks in the area and were looking for something adventurous to add to our itinerary so we decided on a morning of Canyoneering. It was the best decision we made! My husband and I were joined by one other adventurer, and were led through a maze of canyons and slots by our knowledgable tour guide Dan. When we reached our first rappell, a 130ft down a cliffs edge, I wasn't sure it I'd be able to to it but Dan made us feel so at ease and safe, and before I knew it I was half way down and enjoying a spectacular view. We had the best time exploring the canyons with Dan, and I would highly recommend you join this tour (or any of the Red River Adventures tours) if you're in the Moab area. I took the Rock 101 course and Mary was my guide. I had no experience with any sort of climbing whatsoever prior to this trip. When I arrived, we got geared up and went to the rocks. The instruction was clear and very simple. After much climbing, I eventually got tired and felt like giving up. It was as if I could no longer get myself up any further. However, with Mary's AWESOME encouragement, guide and personality I became more comfortable with climbing and just being around her overall. Mary was really cool and it seemed like I was just on a rock climbing trip with a genuine friend rather than being in a lesson. read more

I thought RRA did great job! We did the full day Fisher Towers trip, which ran from 8:00am-2:30pmish. Yes, there is a fair amount of driving to the put in and take out, but that's standard with any river trip of this nature (about an hour to the put in, about 30 minutes from the take out). Our driver, Eric, chatted with us along the way and kept us entertained. The trip itself was perfect for a beginner, and exciting enough to keep someone who's done this before interested. There's quite a bit of flat water, but there were also 6-7 exciting rapids to go through. Our guide, Holly, did an awesome job of navigating and she was hilarious. She went over safety, and what to do in certain scenarios, before we set foot on the raft. I felt at ease. RRA uses smaller rafts. We were in the smallest rafts that I saw on this stretch of the Colorado that were owned by a company, which was awesome. Each individual person has a paddle and works, making you feel more involved, Holly steered and kept us out of places that we weren't meant to be. A lot of the time on the flatwater, we let the water carry us at a casual pace and we didn't paddle. The most work came in the rapids and towards the end of the trip, when we paddled a bit more. Even for a very out of shape person, the amount of work expected out of you would be very manageable. We pulled off at some point for a quick lunch. Lunch consisted of wraps. Fresh ingredients were laid out on a (clean) table for us so we could make our own wraps. For someone with dietary restrictions, I thought this was a great route to go down. Ingredients included avocado, tomatoes, deli meats, cheese, hummus and more! In short, I had a great time . Great introductory trip to rafting for those who have never gone before, and a nice relaxing, fun day out on the river for those of us who have rafted before. read more

My husband booked this trip during our Utah adventure with out 12 and 9 year old kids. It was easy to book online and the confirmation email was very informative. There was definitely a lot of waiting at the start and the bus ride was long. However one of the guides was providing lots of information about our surroundings along the way. Once in the water our guide Tiffany was very helpful and full of great info about the landscape. She encouraged the kids to swim in the calm water and was very supportive during the rapids. There were only 4 rapids level 1 and 2 on the half day trip so it was a good introduction for kids. This isn't a trip if you are looking for higher intensity. *HERE IS THE BEST PART. A thunder storm rolled in with driving rain, intense wind and lightning a little too close for comfort. Tiffany was a rock star and got us out alive! I took the one day Fisher Towers trip with my 12 year old daughter. This is a pretty mild stretch of river with just enough bumps to give some interest. Owen (our guide) was great fun while always being aware of our safety. The water in July was very warm and we probably spent a third of the trip in the river, swimming and floating and enjoying the amazing scenery. The lunch spread was surprisingly healthy - wraps with a variety of fillings including fresh avocado. Easy to set up and tear down while being both delicious and friendly to the environment. Had a great experience with RRA this past week in Moab. Was looking for a place where we could raft (with a 2 person inflatable kayak) in the morning and rock climb in the afternoon, and we found it here. The kayaking was easy for 2 young adults but the guides were great and it was fun all the way. Lunch was also pleasantly healthy and tasty. The real highlight of the day was the Rock Climbing with Abe on wall street. I never rock climbed before and with just my partner and I and our guide, he taught us all we needed to know and then some, and really challenged us. Amazing time and I highly highly recommend Abe, he was super cool. Good times, choose this company. read more

Booking was easy and this company was very helpful with my many questions before I even booked. This company uses some of the smallest rafts in the Moab area which makes for a slightly better experience. There are appx 5 pretty fun rapids and the rest of the day is flat water which gives you opportunity to swim, look at the views, and relax. If you are looking for a completely action-packed experience, this is not it. Lunch is set up on a beach mid-way through and consisted of two different kinds of wraps with all of the fillings - two types of meat, two types of cheese, various freshly cut vegetables, hummus, mayo, two mustards, cream cheese, etc. As well as cookies, pb&j fixings, and two types of chips. Bring your own water bottle, but they provide fresh, cold water to refill it. We were worried about our shoes for the trip (we had no appropriate water shoes with us) and we opted for cheap flip flops instead of tennis shoes. This was perfectly fine. We had no issues and the rapids were not crazy enough to risk losing your shoes. Holly and Gabe were our guides and they were informative, amusing and fun! Overall, great experience! read more

We went on a half day trip as a family with Red River. It was a top experience across the board. A perfect trip from the moment we made a reservation to getting back to our car. The staff at Red River was great. A special kudos to Sadie our guide. They focused on us having fun, talking about the area, giving us a great experience and just being entertaining. The travel was comfortable, the equipment was great and my kids (9 and 12) are excited to do more rafting. I can't compare Red River to any other options in Moab, but you should feel no risk in booking with them. Will be a great trip. read more
