The trainer looks amazing, and is full of energy. Everyone at the camp is there to lose weight, and have the same mindset. My first day was fun. i liked that the exercises change constantly and when someone felt they couldn't finish an exercise everyone cheered on. It's hard to get bored. The location is used for cheer-leading practices, and has plenty of parking and is right off 410. Prices are reasonable but i didn't feel pressured or got a huge sales pitch either. At the begining and ending of each day, members go around saying how much they have lost.Members there had lost between 25-80 lbs in the last 6 months. The bootcamp feels more like a family working out than just strangers I signed up for a month initially and ended up doing it for more than 6months.You have options of 1, 2x, 3x or 5x a week depending on your budget. The workouts do make you sweat and work your muscles but for someone who has never hit the gym, its doable, and if you cant keep up she modifies your exercise so you can continue with the group. As part of the bootcamp, you are given a new diet. The diet consist of more proteins than carbs but you do eat 5 times a day, and do not need to buy expensive food items. You wont be going to bed hungry! The only real expense is the protein poweder that is around $25 but the rest is chicken , vegetables, and things you already eat. I ended up losing 30lb pounds and now attend a gym everyday to continue.

The new name is actually quite appropriate because it has truly Transformed my life! I'm so much happier, healthier, and sexier as a direct result of attending this program. I'm a member for life! The results are guaranteed as long as you follow up with your end of the agreement (putting your best effort forward during the workouts and following the diet plan). Within the first two weeks the average person loses between 5 and 15 pounds. Honestly, I have tried other programs out there and none come even close to comparing to this one. It is simply THE BEST!

(-) 1-Star Review - Fitness Connection (West San Antonio)…read more This is by far the worst gym experience I've had in San Antonio, and it has nothing to do with the equipment alone. The real issue is management and how they handle customers. I initially came in to use a 5 day pass. I was told it had to be used on five consecutive days, which was not clearly explained upfront. After using just one day, I was denied entry unless I paid for a day pass that was quoted around $40-$50. That pricing is unreasonable, especially when other gyms offer full monthly memberships for far less. The facility itself is overcrowded, equipment is frequently dirty or out of service, and the overall environment feels poorly maintained. The biggest problem, though, is how memberships are handled: * I was signed into a month to month plan without clear explanation or consent * I ended up paying around $200 total without even properly using the gym * This included: * Monthly dues * An unexpected annual fee ($60) * When I submitted my cancellation on March 31, I was told I still had to pay for the entire month of April due to a 30 day notice policy, even though the next billing cycle hadn't started That already felt excessive, but it got worse. When I canceled, the manager asked for my reason, which I clearly explained: * Poor communication * Misleading membership explanation * Lack of transparency However, the receipt I received listed my reason as: "Member does not use the gym" That is completely inaccurate and not what I said. This is a serious issue. If management is willing to misrepresent customer statements on official records, that raises concerns about how they handle complaints and internal reporting. Final Thoughts * This location feels disorganized and poorly managed * Staff at the front desk are fine, but management lacks professionalism and transparency * Policies are either not explained clearly or are enforced in ways that feel predatory I strongly recommend: * Reading every detail before signing anything * Asking direct questions about billing, annual fees, and cancellation terms * Getting everything in writing I would not recommend this location to anyone based on my experience.

ITS ALL ROSES AND BUTTERFLIES UNTIL IT'S NOT…read more When Fitness Connection first opened up, I was excited to learn that they had a section specifically for women to workout. Something that drew me to change gyms. I didn't care for the rows and rows of equipment that looked like a big warehouse. I participated in one Zoomba class that I felt could have had some low impact options. It was good and got the heart rate up. My sneakers kept sticking to the floor and it was difficult to slide side to side in some of the movements. Definitely a lot of jumping. Soon after, I signed up for personal training, feeling that this was the answer to continuous weekly exercise that would hold me accountable. The only issue is that I do have medical limitations and with that being said, my trainer, Savannah, made sure that she was always checking in with me to be sure I wasn't experiencing any pain. She really is an EXCELLENT trainer. Without going into all the details of all my health issues, I found I needed to take a break and heal. We did a 30-day freeze so that I could take some time to get better. Unfortunately that didn't happen and was told in order to cancel my $240/mo training cost I needed a true doctor's note or else I would be forced to give a 30-day notice to cancel. This is EXACTLY what Mr. Collins said to me. I immediately went to my doctor and paid my co-pay, and walked out with a treatment plan for PT and my note to the gym. I directly left the doctor's office and went straight to the gym to give them my note. The manager was NO WHERE to be found. I waited patiently and then was told they would take care of it and contact me. Meanwhile, I'm in contact with my trainer and she is telling me that she will follow up with the manager. I know that she was following up with him and he was dragging his feet on it. I have the text messages. Come Aug 6, I see a charge on my account. They charged me after I had given my doctor's note to cancel. Now Mr. Collins is calling me telling me that unfortunately because my doctor's note doesn't give a date to return to my training, that it is unacceptable. They are keeping my money and I will be canceled at the end of the 30-days. But I can still have my training sessions! Or! I can be reimbursed and charged again next month and continue my sessions. What kind of sense does that make when you have a note from your doctor that says you can't? At this point, I want a divorce from this whole program. I refuse to ever have anything to do with this business. They say one thing, and then lie so they can get one more payment out of you. What a scam. My advice, go somewhere else.
