I have back and hip problems due to a very incompetent pt.that herniated 4 of my discs. I need a firm mattress with a comfort top for pressure points. We have purchased 6 mattresses from Extreme Discount over the years and they have been great so we went there again cause we needed to replace the 10yr old one we had. We ordered the Vera firm.I tried it in the store and it felt great. The one that was delivered didn't feel anything like in the store.I was literally sinking in it. I am a 125lb woman. After 26 days on this mattress from hell I have Extreme pain in my legs and hips and back in physical therapy. I called about this and was told that it could not be returned but we could get another mattress with a discount plus a $75.00 charge. What? The salesman also asked me to check the mattress tag because there's apparently a Vera Firm AND a Vera Plush. Mine said Firm. It was more like a plush.Think it was mislabeled.So we were stuck with it and gave it to our daughter because she loves a soft mattress. They say 30 days comfort trial. Warning , even if you buy the mattress protector for $65.00 you will still be stuck. We noticed after the fact that on the second last page states ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS on merchandise that has already been taken or delivered even if still in factory wrapper or box. The salesman Bill was very nice but also very misleading. As for delivery there were 2 guys, 1 older maybe late 30s early 40s and the other maybe in early 20s.The younger guy was very nice and courteous, the alpha male on the other hand was far from it. A little snippy which in no way I was going to tolerate in my home and made Mr.Alpha well aware of it Wasnt informed that delivery also included attitude. We had been very good customers for years. I've bought 4 different mattresses from your Delaware location over the past 10 years. Usually the service is ok. Recently went to purchase another mattress and it was like night and day. The mattress is bought was too firm so I tried to take it back for a softer one. When I got there I was told I refused their "comfort guarantee". The So called salesman TOLD me if it wasn't the one I wanted, I could switch it out for a different one within 30 days. I only had the mattress for 10 days. Be careful what your buying and be especially careful what you sign or initial because in my experience it's not the same as they're telling you. They delivered the mattress and were like two bulls in a china shop with no regards to the interior of the house. Purchased a $800.00 pillowtop mattress and had it delivered. I wanted to set up the mattress myself. The mattress came with straps on each side and thinking that they were lifting straps like the $1,400.00 mattress I had in my other bedroom as I pulled on the straps they came off in my hands. Also, the box spring looked like it was made out of balsa wood and kite paper. It is a piece of crap. When I called to complain about the straps the manager told me they were there for decorative purposes unlike my other high quality mattress purchased elsewhere. It's true what they say about their product. THEY MAKE MATTRESS'S WITH LESS, A LOT LESS. Purchased two Memory Foam mattress sets. Full and King size. The worst ever mattresses ever. They sag so much the centre of the mattress is at least 3 inches higher. Turn them each week but it makes no difference. Of course the sagging didn't begin until after the 30 days. I am not a large person. Such a waste of money! Just checking out Yelp and am totally surprised at all these bad reviews. I bought a queen set for $399 over 4 years ago and it is still absolutely comfortable. Two years ago, a full mattress for $199 was purchased to place atop a firm futon and it is also as perfect as the day it was set up. Both were bought at the Delaware Ave. location. The sales staff was knowledgeable and courteous. I have recommended the store to numerous friends and family and everyone has been satisfied with both cost and quality. Stopped in the transit rd location with my family. The salesman was nice / informative / not pushy. He didn't blink an eye to my sons bouncing from bed to bed. We decided on a mid grade plush firm. We got the set home the following week( had to be ordered). Noticed the box spring was going to be way too high. Called the salesman up and explained our dilemma, he offered a swap out for a " low profile" box spring. I'd give a 5 star but we have only had the mattress set for a week. I'd recommend this place. We bought our mattress from the Walden Ave. location. The salesman was very helpful, asking us a lot of questions. My husband has degenerative disc disease and I have bursitis in my hips. He suggested a firm mattress with extra back support and a plush top. We tried it out in the store and it seemed great. The delivery men were very helpful and courteous in setting up our new set. The first couple of nights it wasn't great but we figured we just needed to get used to it. It only got worst from there. This mattress is so soft you can push down on it and almost touch the underside and we can't find any section on the mattress that feels like it have extra back support. I honestly don't think they sent us the same mattress that we tried in the store. It would be great if they gave you time to try it out like some of the other mattress stores do. Since I was desperate for a new mattress, I went to several stores and ended up depressed at how much it was going to cost me to get a new bed. X-Treme Mattress Warehouse is right around the corner from my neighborhood, so as a last ditch effort, I decided to stop in. JACKPOT! Not only did I end up getting an amazing new mattress, but you can tell the construction of this one is SO MUCH BETTER than brand name mattresses at other stores. The sales guy showed us how the sides of their mattresses are surrounded with foam. This isn't the case with low end brand names. They say that the mattresses they have in stock are made in the same facility as brand name mattresses but they aren't formally tagged with the name, so we can buy them for a fraction of the price. I got the queen pillow top mattress, box spring, and delivery for $350 total. I found a waterproof mattress cover at IKEA for $30 (Canadian price), which guarantees the 10-year warranty. They told me the mattress would be delivered in something like 2-10 business days. I bought it on a Friday night, and they were at my door bright and early the following Monday. Yipppppeeeeeeee! They were clean, quick, and pleasant during delivery. Can't complain! Since I've slept on this amazing new bed for almost a month now, my back and neck no longer hurt, and I'm not up in the middle of the night unable to sleep due to discomfort from my old saggy mattress (that's the last ultra plush I'll ever buy!). Extremely disappointed with this company so far! I purchased a queen mattress and frame at your Batavia store on 2/22/17. The salesperson David asked when I would like to pick it up and I said that Saturday, 2/25. He said, that it would be there. Got rid of my old bed, got a friend to meet me there with a truck on 2/25 and was told the mattress was sold out. Apparently David didn't check if they had it in stock and no one bothered to call me to tell me they were sold out. Then, I was told they would get a shipment in that week so I called that week and was told the shipment would be on Tuesday. Today is Tuesday, I called and now they are saying the end of the week! In the meantime, no one has bothered to call to tell me about the delays, I just find out every time I call. It's been 13 days now that I've been sleeping on my couch and STILL no mattress! We visited 3 of Xtreme Discount stores. Niagara Falls, Transit Road and Delaware Ave. They are definitely no frills. But, who needs frills?? I was looking for a good deal on a comfortable mattress. We purchased our mattress from the Niagara Falls store a few months ago. The price was right and they delivered it within a few days. They have a great 30 night comfort guarantee and at the end of the 30 days, we went back to reselect a different mattress. The one that we originally picked was too soft. Since we were closer to the Transit Rd store, we went there. The salesman at both locations were very friendly and helpful and the Transit Rd location suggested that we go to the Delaware Ave location - they have a larger selection. They do indeed. We reselected and couldn't have been more happier with the service and selection. In other reviews, people are bad talking this place saying that it's drab and dirty - I wouldn't say that it's dirty, it's just not a high end store. BUT - I didn't want to pay for a high end store - no fuss, no frills, just a store front and mattresses. THAT is the point!!! They keep their overhead low so they can offer lower prices. Not rocket science. I highly recommend them if you don't need to be pampered and prodded to buy a mattress. Our salespeople didn't pressure us, answered questions and couldn't have been more friendly. Honestly, check them out - what do you have to loose?? except $$ at a higher end store. read more

Got a hybrid mattress from the Walden location in February I was told by the sales person it was probably the softest in the store and is good for side sleepers which I am in the store it was really comfortable and the first few days/weeks or so really comfortable but then all of the sudden just recently it's not that comfortable anymore I don't know why but my first night on the mattress I loved it it was really comfy didn't toss and turn could stay in one position and be comfortable the whole night no waking up with neck or shoulder pain like on my previous 10+ yr old mattress but now it's not as comfortable anymore I wake up with a sore shoulder and or neck and I don't know why and yes I tried both my old and a new pillow to but the mattress it self just isn't as comfortable as the first few days/weeks they should have like other mattress places where they have a x amount of nights to try it and this mattress was around $500+ I mean I'm not really blaming the store hence the 3 stars because it could be just me but if they really want to make their customers happy have like I said have a x amount of night money back trial read more

We did not even sleep on them all winter (we were in Florida) and they are piling all over. Worst experience ever, my fiancé and I went into their Clarence location to purchase a king size bed frame, not only did this guy not have a clue when I asked a few questions about the different materials and what kind of firm/memory foam mattresses lol he just told me I didn't know the difference between firm and hard. Okay so then I ask will this frame fit our current box spring because it is a metal one, not a wood one and he said uhhh I don't know...I assumed it would so I paid him 60$+tax the guy goes to get the frame and while carrying it smashes the light above him! He comes out cussing with glass covering his head in his hair it's falling all over us but I still asked if he was alright because I'm a decent human being. As he continues cussing he says ok let's get this over with, I pay him and then say well if it doesn't fit I can bring it back right? He says no there's no refunds and walks away!!! And guess what? It doesn't fit!! And I have returned one at the Elma location before now I'm sleeping on a teeter tawter with a miserable fiancé....I plan on calling the Elma location or locating this guy on the commercials. I have never encountered a more terrible and rude sales person. We purchased a higher tier mattress from them and the springs busted in the center creating what my boyfriend and I referred to as the "crater" after 5 years. When I called about the warranty, the man on the phone said I had to bring the mattress in myself to be inspected, he said if there are any stains that they cannot honor the warranty. So, we struggled to get the mattress tied to roof of our vehicle to bring it in. When we got there we were greeted with the most insensitive human being I have ever met. First, he said their standard protocol is to send a specialist out to our house (gee thanks to whoever answered my 2 phone calls saying to bring it in). Then he went on a rant about the condition of our mattress. He said "look at all your pee stains" and "did you even bother to use a sheet", when the color of the mattress was the exact same as ones on their show room floor. It's one thing to not honor a warranty, but another thing to belittle and insult a customer in such a harsh and unnecessary manner. I will never shop here again and urge everyone else to do the same, the quality of the mattresses is awful, they will make up any excuse they can to not honor their warranties, and they will treat you like complete garbage the entire time. 0's across the board for this place.
