We will not be coming back to this store for any of our card playing activities! All this is thanks to rude Chris and the rude blonde cashier. Everyone of our friends who come into e4cards to play all card games will be hearing about this and will not be coming in anymore to play. It's ALWAYS FREE TO PLAY (unless there is a sanctioned tournament), well lit, clean and has enough tables to accommodate about 40 people playing. Sunday's pop off for MTG Commander in the mornings, and you can have a FREE donut when you show up and play on Sunday. Review for Michaels - 63485 N Hwy 97, Bend, OR 97701…read more Today, I witnessed a very disturbing situation while shopping at this Michaels location. A customer service representative--who claimed to be a manager--was loudly yelling at a customer at the checkout counter. The customer remained calm and polite, yet the manager continued berating her, calling her "horrible" and "disrespectful" in front of everyone. Regardless of the situation, no customer deserves to be screamed at in public. This created an uncomfortable scene for everyone in the store and reflected extremely poorly on the professionalism of the staff. I believe the name on the manager's tag was Sara. I fully understand that not all customer interactions are easy, but customer service requires patience and professionalism--especially from management. This experience left such a negative impression that we chose to leave and will likely be shopping at Joann's from now on, which offers many of the same products. I believe in the philosophy that "the customer is always right"--even if they're not. If someone isn't able to handle customer service responsibilities without resorting to yelling, they shouldn't be in that role. I cannot recommend this Michaels location based on today's experience.

The person at the counter (who seemed to be supervising the other employees) was less than enthusiastic about helping me find a specific ring size even though there was no one else needing attention. She also could not offer any information on properties or energy the various stones are believed (by many) to hold. When I asked about the location of stickers in support of a certain cause I was told to "just look around ". I did not feel the peaceful, inclusive, supportive welcome I have enjoyed in the past and will (sadly) think twice before shopping Cosmic for my next gift giving occasion.
