My car was repossessed by Xtreme towing and recovery on Friday Dec. 20th I went to the bank first thing Monday morning and paid what I owed on the car and the towing fee the bank told me to wait 30 minutes and the paper work should be sent over. When contacting Xtreme towing the Customer service was awful and they kept hanging up on me. I understood that Tuesday and Wednesday was a holiday so I called the Thursday after Christmas to see when I could get my car they then told me I would have to wait till next Tuesday since they were on vacation Christmas week so I called Monday checking for my appointment and they told me they were going back and forth with the lady that does the scheduling because she didn't want to do recovery's now on Tuesday the 31st after this they wouldn't answer the phone so we took a ride to Xtreme towing and they called the cops saying we were trying to break in and wiggling the lock so now Thursday come around and I had to get the bank involved to get an appointment to get my car back when I went up there they would not let me see my car until after I signed there papers with blurry pictures of my belongings I had two fifty dollar gift cards in my middle console that were gone and my daughters tooth fairy money that was in a ziplock baggy. They also went through my baby's diaper bag and had diapers slung around the car. I let the lady Know that I was missing things from my car and she told me they don't want my stuff that they have video of going through the car but would not show the video when I asked and started to have a nasty attitude with me and told me I was being psycho. The woman who answers the phone and claims to be the manager of extreme recovery was not only rude to me, but was extremely disrespectful.She showed no yet empathy for my situation and even called me selfish I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused! and said she was the manager. That there was not anyone over her that I could speak to implying that she was maybe the CEO of the company in my many years of owning a business, I know that the manager does not answer phones and make appointments so I do not recommend this company. The worst customer experience I've seen in a long time. They don't listen to voicemails or call people back. When someone finally calls someone back they are rude then hang up on the person. Will only accept cash payments and refuses to give any type of receipt. When you go to pick up your vehicle, the 50 year old lady with long grey hair is on a power trip. She is very rude and threatened to "sell your car at auction" when you ask for a receipt from your cash payment. Did not want to give any change and was going to make me pay extra until it was clear I was not, then she was able to find change. Made us sign a paper but refused to give a copy of that either. The old woman that works there is terrible to deal with, she snatched the paperwork out of my hands and had an attitude with me for requesting to look at my car prior to signing for it. Then when my fiance and I went to go look at the car she told him because i was signing for it he wasnt allowed to look at the car. Had we been given the opportunity to look more throughly at the car we would have seen they had messed up my tint on my drivers side window and stole a $20 scratch off out of my middle console. The old woman has a bad attitude and shouldnt be working any job where she has to speak to people. The absolute worst place around. They damaged my 82 yr old grandmas car and said its not there problem and they tried to say that the damage was there before they got the car which is a DAMN LIE!!! They popped her door out, damaged the paint and scratched the drivers side door! Shannon was so RUDE and NASTY. I don't even know how this place is still in business. i just read a lot of there reviews and 90% of them are super bad reviews. They are absolute scumbags. They said there not responsible for the damages but that isn't true. Its against the law for them to damage anybody's vehicle. These people are legitimately the rudest people I've ever dealt with. We called yesterday to get an appointment to collect our belonging, she said she'd call back, never did. Called again today said we could make and appointment after not calling us back but I needed my husband to call cause I'm not on the trucks title, so I thanked her (sarcastically) for calling us back because he was next to me all day yesterday waiting for the call to which she said "you're so welcome" and hung up the phone. These people repossessed a vehicle from me, left me stranded in a motel, took it an hour away, did t alert the cops of the recovery so I thought it was stolen!! Then they broke into it, rummaging throughout my personal belongings, and when found the vehicle and went to recover it, I was charged 175 dollars to get my own personal belongings back. Came to my daughters soccer game at wwhs where she was unknowing to a repo and took the car without notifications to any administrator at the school where she then came out to go home and the car was gone from the parking spot where she then called me to tell me the car was stolen because I didn't know the car was in repo either to where I called to the sheriff department to make a stolen vehicle report! maybe if your going to take a car from a high school where clearly you were following her to the high school maybe notify somebody to discreet let someone know so she isn't put in a traumatic situation! terrible communication over the phone Im sorry I don't know how repos work it wasn't my vehicle being repoed and on top of that they won't let me get any of her backpack or anything out of the vehicle until maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday !! read more

Then they call me at 7pm on a Monday, ask me to be 2 hours north of my home the next morning with cash in hand. Most people are obviously already going through a difficult time or they wouldn't be dealing with them, but instead of being empathetic and actually nice. They treat you like garbage. This is the last night with my family before I go into boot camp and I had to waist it waiting on a bridge for these people and they didn't ever come. Sat outside my driveway in a tow truck and attempted to repo a car that was not up for repossession. Called my car financing and they confirmed the car was not up for repossession and had no business coming to the house. After being unable to get my car, a dark colored car car back to my house, blacked out and tried to come on my property. I called to speak with someone at Xtreme in the morning and was told "If we need to talk to you, we will." Received no call back or any explanation as to why these people were at my home or after my car. Sheriff's office was notified as it was illegal for them to even touch my property. This company repossessed my fathers truck who tragically died in August of 2020. They are refusing to release my property that was inside the truck, even though we have all of the required documentation to retrieve the property as told by the Brooksville Police Department. The employees have been dodging my mother and I's phone calls for over a week now. I know this to be true because when we called from a new number we were answered immediately. The employee lied and stated she hasn't "had the phone for two days", she is accusing my mother and I of having drugs in the vehicle and threatening to throw our property away because we "don't have power of attorney". We just want our property. We have contacted the leasing the company who owns the truck, and they are going to release the property to us, so if anything is missing or riled through the employee will be arrested for theft, thats per the police department. All of this just because they won't release our property? Why? Why would a small family owned business do this to people who just suffered a loss? I have no ideas except to say they wanted to keep my shopping bags full of brand new items. Including three new pairs of shoes. read more
