I was told that due to my existing health conditions it would be difficult for me to get pregnant and have a baby. I was told that I would have to lose weight. After having two miscarriages. Have been dealing with ongoing chronic nausea for as long as I can remember. Questionable place, weird odors in redepti area. I vomited during my colonics and they were highly upset that I "messed up" their sheet instead of vomiting on the paper towels. I think they weren't going to wash the sheet before using it on another person. The tube wasn't freshly opened in front of me so who knows if it was fresh. They reported to my waiting husband that I made a mess instead of saying I vomitEd. No wipes or soap in the restroom to clean yourself only hand soap and toilet paper. No offer of water or juice after getting sick. Rushed us to pay and leave. read more

My mom was diagnosed with a bulging disc of the lower back. Instead of opting for the recommended nerve block, she went with acupuncture. Before starting treatments, she was not able to stand on her own due to the pain and needed assistance with most daily activities. I had a nagging back ache that kept me on a hot pad off and on for several days so I decided to try acupuncture. I knew Dr. Xu had a stellar reputation as a healer, so it was an easy choice. It's a large facility and the ambiance is amazing and very comfortable, which made it less stressful at the thought of getting needles for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised that the process didn't hurt at all other than tingling, which told me something good was happening. I paid extra for electrical stimulation, which I was told speeds the healing process. After my first treatment, for 10 hours I was pain free. I had just slight pain that came back, but after a total of 3 treatments, I was completely pain free. Dr. Xu is a Master Certified Herbalist, so part of the treatment is the option of medicinal tea. It speeds up healing, but it honestly tastes pretty bad. Mine was specifically for pain, and I managed to drink it. He also strongly suggested I purchase his hand crafted pain cream. Knowing that people come in all the time just to purchase the pain cream told me that I really needed to use it to speed things along. He also has his own skin care line that I purchased and to my amazement, my wrinkles are almost gone! They have an Infrared Sauna, Hydrobath, Cupping, Massage and Hydrocolonics, so I will be trying out more services soon! read more

I've never had acupuncture before, so i can't compare to other doctors or places; however, my experience has been great. My insurance does not cover it but that isn't Dr.Xu's fault. The facility is easy to find, easy to get appointments, staff is professional and nice, very clean, peaceful, welcoming environment. Dr. Xu has helped my family and i with so many issues. As a patient, one must be personally responsible to go as frequently as the doctor recommends, drink the herbal tea and don't get discouraged in the beginning with a few days here and there of "set backs" that come despite all the progress you will make. I've been seeing Dr. Xu since early December for chronic depression, which I have been dealing with off and on (mostly on) for over 13 years. I've been on many different prescription medications, which either worked minimally or not at all. It has been a slow process, but I can definitely see a difference now, as can my husband! If you want a good doctor, who is honest and cares about his patients, do NOT go see Dr. Xu!!!! I went to see Dr. Xu for about 2 months. In two months I spend $800, and I do not have major health issues. He never explained what he was doing, made me and all his other patients buy his special tee. When I asked what the tee is for or what is in it, he tells you to just drink it. One day he put a needle in my ear, not sure what exactly it is called, but you wear it for a month or so. He never explained what he was doing, charged me an additional $70 for it. After he put it in I asked him what it is for and he said "Losing weight". I'm sorry, I was not there for weight loss. The needle was painful and inconvenient because you could not get it wet at all (not sure how to keep your ear dry when washing long hair). I had him remove it less than 24 hours later and wanted my money back. He got very defensive and that was the last time I ever went to see the guy. I would NEVER go back there!!!! I am now seeing a new acupuncture doctor and love him. He explains everything and does his treatment to exactly what I need and does not make me buy all these other things. I took Dr. Xu's acupuncture treatment for my wife who was having severe neck and upper back pain problem for about 2 months before visiting Xu wellness center for the first time. I would say that the very first visit gave us some positive feeling of the place and we liked the way the doctor and receptionist handled our issue. Specially the Insurance and Pre-authorization which was taken care by Ms. Alexis, who is the assistant of the doctor. After visiting for about 4 weeks (2 visits/week), my wife has really got better and is fast getting rid of her pain problem. My wife has started feeling really a lot better and just like she was before this pain problem started for no reasons. Acupuncture is an alternative therapy so it definitely takes a little time to show effects, but Dr Xu appears to be a proficient acupuncturist and I would recommend anybody to visit him for any problems that are going for long time. I began acupuncture treatments with Dr. Mark Xu 6 weeks ago for chronic headaches, as well as chronic neck and shoulder pain. I had headaches daily and migraines weekly for 2-3 years, mostly triggered by degenerative disk disease in my neck. I had been taking over the counter NSAIDS for a couple of years for the pain. The NSAIDS were beginning to create other health issues so I knew at this point I had to stop them. I am in the medical field and have worked with a large group of physicians here in town for years. I knew that a physician and nurse in the group had gone to Dr. Xu for back pain and had great success so I decided to give it a try. On my first visit to Dr. Xu he thoroughly explained everything to me about how acupuncture along with medicicinal teas work to restore balance within my body and alleviate the pain. On my first visit I arrived with a headache but after my first treatment I left without a headache. After 6 weeks of treatments by Dr. Xu I am so excited to have had only 2 headaches ( not migraines) compared to the daily headaches I had become accustomed to in the past 2-3 years. My neck and shoulder pain has also improved tremendously. I also sleep better now that the headaches are gone therefore my concentration has improved. Thanks to Dr. Xu I am feeling better than I could have imagined. I absolutely recommend Dr. Mark Xu and his wellness center to anyone experiencing chronic pain. He has made a difference in my life.
