Our developer used YK Stone and we couldn't be more disappointed. The quartz they installed had significant discoloration from the start (why they thought this was acceptable to install is beyond me). They keep saying "that is how the stone comes", which is a lie as we compared the same quartz to other homes in our neighborhood who installed it. The reality is they had a poor project manager who did not check his work and they do not want to admit it. We also had a granite expert come in and confirm this is not normal and that the quartz was not properly sealed. I would highly recommend staying away from using this company, and if you have a developer, make it clear to them that you want a different company used for your countertops. read more

I have purchased remnants from YK twice. Both experiences were outstanding. They have a nice selection of remnants to choose from. The stones were cut and polished perfectly. The customer service was excellent. Even the guys at their fabrication facility were very helpful, friendly, and kind. And best of all, the remnants were ready very fast and at a fair price. I purchased a beautiful piece of remnant quartz (Portrush Cambria) for a very fair price for a basement bar countertop. Unlike their competitors, they didn't have a minimum project price. The 5 stars was earned all around. Ryan did a phenomenal job on the digital template (worth every penny of that $75) and Saul and his assistant installed the piece quickly and professionally. I couldn't believe how perfectly fabricated the piece was for the space, taking into account the door frames on two sides. I started with YK Stone and Marble but had to fire them. They made promises they didn't keep. One day after they started the guy went on a hunting trip for two weeks while our project stood still.....and they never told us he was only going to work one day then go on vacation. They charged me $300 to remove carpet from a small bathroom, about 5' x 10'. It took them ten minutes to pull the carpet and pad, but $300? That comes out to $1,200/hr! At the same time I was going thru the remodel the carpet company charged me $400 to remove ALL of the carpet in the bedroom, theatre room, and the entire downstairs. That's how absurd the cost from YK is. They are hard to work with, not very nice and actually can be quite rude. I fired them as soon as I could. Their costs are higher than other granite vendors and their inventory is weak. Stay away from YK Stone and Marble! read more

I'm not impressed with this company at all. After reading the great reviews on Yelp, I left multiple messages trying to schedule a time to discuss my kitchen remodel project. When I first called, I wasn't able to actually speak to anyone and had to leave a voicemail. After about a week, one of their designers eventually returned my call while I was in a meeting. I called back right away, only to get voicemail, and it took about a week before she attempted to return my call again. I left another voicemail and never heard back from her. I gave up....life is too short. FYI, this was many months ago prior to the coronavirus scare, so that wasn't the reason. read more

Brand new digs thanks to the YK team. A few years back I bought a dingy, gross condo in need of some serious TLC. Honestly, I didn't know jack about remodeling and was learning as I went. When the time came for granite, tile and back-splash YK was recommended to me by a friend. The shop is very stylish with an extensive inventory. Their designer, Kate, was really great to work with. Instead of pushing her design opinions or trying to make a quick sale (like many I've experienced whilst remodeling), she listened to what I wanted and worked with my style. My kitchen is tiny. Like really really tiny. Bilbo Baggins tiny. Eli sat with me and brainstormed on how we could move around appliances and cabinets to maximize my counter space. Even if I didn't buy anything from them, I would still leave there totally satisfied with the amount of time they spent helping me create this new home. We all know that remodeling is outrageously expensive. YK worked with my budget and I didn't have to compromise on style. Finally, I am not embarrassed to invite people over for dinner. We contacted YK at the last minute because our granite fabricator fell through. We couldn't be happier with the results. Ryan and his team were amazing. They were professional, worked with our schedules, kept us constantly updated with the progress of the fabrication of our granite, made helpful suggestions and even came to our rescue when we chipped a corner of our granite within a day of install (my husband still feels horrible about doing that). I was originally going to update my review to add a star because I ended up getting my tile, and I love it, but it was only because I called the store last Friday to see if they still had it, not because anyone contacted me. And they were apologetic about missing my appointment last weekend. I was able to leave work early to get there before their early closing time, and happy I got to take home my awesome apple green tile. But when we unloaded the 6 boxes of tile at home, one of the boxes had a sticker on it that listed the sale price at $1.89 per square foot. They charged me twice that and their ad said their price was already a 50% discount. Obviously bogus! Boo. Buyer beware. read more

I'm an Interior Designer and had YK Stone Center fabricate countertops for my own house. I worked directly with Val Khrestsov. Val is incredibly professional, responsive and even offered excellent suggestions. My kitchen has a complicated angled wall, peninsula top area and YK's measurements were flawless. The counters align with the walls perfectly and the seam is barely noticeable. I found out after working with YK that they're actually an award winning countertop fabricator. My neighbor who owns Raptor Construction gave me their name and told me they were the best in the business. YK was wonderful to work with from the beginning to the end. Unfortunatly, I did not have YK Stone install my countertops. The company I hired did a terrible job. I was going to have the terrible company tear countertops out and give me my money back. I ended up having original company fix my countertops and did not need to hire YK stone. When I thought I was going to need to find a new company to install countertops I called around to find out who the best quartz countertop installer in town is. I call a few sales reps for the quartz manufactures and a few of the large stone yards in town. Several of the sources I called immediately said YK Stone is the best fabricator/installer in town. Next time I will be using YK Stone for my countertops. read more

I did not have a good experience with these people. I ordered my kitchen countertops from them. They messed up on the measurements and had to put a seam in a conspicuous place. They did a pretty good job at that. It is not too obvious. To make up for it they offered me a free remnant for my guest bathroom vanity top. I went to their store twice to pick one. The first time they must have just forgotten about me. The second time someone wrote everything down. I picked out a sink from their store and called her later with the faucet measurement. The day before the install was supposed to happen I was told I had to sign something before they would start fabricating. I live in Boulder. I asked if I could sign when they get here. No, it is their new policy. They won't start fabricating until that form is signed. Why no one mentioned it to me while I was there I'll never know. So my free remnant is gone with the wind. Also, when I compared the price they quoted me for the fabrication, sink and install, it was not really "free." It was quite pricey. I don't recommend this company. read more

I was using this company for a small test job, a few vanities, I wanted to see how the process was before considering them for about a 200 sq foot kitchen job. I WILL NEVER use this company again and would recommend the same to you. Poor communication, unless you as the consumer contacted them directly. Installers where a no show on the install date, no phone call or anything to advise of this. Had to take a second 1/2 day off from work to meet installers after they didn't show. My husband I have been looking at marble for months. YK Marble was the only place we were really comfortable. They have the perfect slab that we wanted. The only problem was, our kitchen needed 2 slabs, but we weren't going to need the entire 2nd slab of granite. Other companies we looked it required for us to buy the whole 2nd slab, they told us we can either sell it, keep it in the garage or they would buy it back from us at a different price than what they sold it to us for??? But YK MARBLE made it work they combined a couple order together and we only had to buy just what we needed. It was cheaper!! They are very responsive, answered all our questions and were very patient with us. The color is magnificent. The installers were delightful. They can work in our home anytime. They were professional. Went of the cleaning recommendations with us and even left us some cleaner! We are hoping to move in the next few years and when we do. We have now worked with YK Stone for 3 remodels - a master bath, a kitchen, and a hall bath. the master bath was first, a simple countertop with backsplash and 2 under mount sinks. YK was quick, professional, and very affordable. We went back for our kitchen, which involved over 100 sq feet of granite countertop, a huge undermount sink, a bar sink, and a cut out in the peninsula for the slide in range. It took 5 huge pieces of granite which were expertly cut and installed and you have to really know where to look for the seams. Again the price was great compared to other vendors! This week we picked out a remnant for a hall bath and Konstantin came up to measure, install, and came back to tweek it after i decided i wanted some edges smoothed out. All done quickly and expertly. We have one bathroom to go and these are the only people we will use! Everyone at YK is the best! read more

With a great rating, I emailed the store. Rather quickly, I received an email from Val stating he would be interested and to send over my plans. The next weekend we arranged to meet with Val at their store. He was professional from day one. From that day, he took time to explain everything thoroughly and was very patient. I think it took us 3 months to find the right stone. Not once did we feel rushed or that we weren't their #1 priority. Once we finally picked our stone, YK fabricated and scheduled the install very quickly. The final product is amazing and the workmanship is second to none. This is THE place to go for granite, stone or tile! YK did a huge remodeling job for us--kitchen, baths, laundry rm, and everything was perfect! YK is one of the few companies to use newer, state-of-the-art technology when cutting the granite. We were able to see the placement of the granite on a computer before it was cut! This process enabled us to place a large black vein in the center of the island for a dramatic statement. Flooring on our entire first floor was done in a stone pattern, and the tile/stone "artist", Vitaly, did a fabulous job - even cutting stone for the floor heat registers! (They blend in so beautifully with the flooring that we have to point them out to be noticed.) Our master shower was enlarged with new tile & again, everything went together perfectly. Ilya & his family were very attentive to our budget and time constraints. The granite installers came in with all these slabs, & everything fit perfectly. The job was completed on time & we could not be more pleased. Don't forget to buy the granite cleaner they sell - - nothing else like it. read more

As a house flipper, I depend on quality, cost-effective workmanship from the sub contractors I hire. With YK, they not only gave me a really good price on the granite I was looking for for my kitchen but everyone from Val and his brother at the shop to the installers were first rate, professional and ready to assist with any issues. Case in point: the installer forgot to grab the old counter tops. I told Val when he called me 30 minutes after install and he was there with his truck to load it up and take it away within 20 minutes. Frickin impressive operation, great (and experienced) installers and one really nice granite counter top. I'd recommend them to my mom...and anyone else. read more

My husband and I just bought our first home (a very out of date townhouse). We had YK redo everything, and it turned out better than I had hoped! Even though it is just a "townhouse," with all of YK's work it feels like a penthouse or a designer hotel! I seriously cannot believe it's all mine, especially after being in dumpy rentals for so long :) They did our tile floors, our sinks, granite countertops, backsplashes, and wood cabinets. We even have a super tiny powder room that they custom designed a floating sink for that is so cool, since it was too small for a regular layout. I had never done any remodeling, but Eli and Kate were really helpful in explaining how things would turn out and helped me look at samples they had and pick things that would match the look I was going for. They were very friendly and it wasn't intimidating at all (as some construction things can be).
