We began with a dramatic escalator entrance. When you get off the escalator and go left (only possible direction), you see a sea of sardine-packed people dancing like it is there last night of earth. There is a small section of the club with stadium-like seating and a standing area. The music was blasting so loud your body was literally vibrating. A huge LED lit wall showing different designs was the focal point. A DJ was spinning some high energy songs. It was on and popping. We stayed at The Rose Room for a very short while in fear that our ear drums would explode. In my 20s I used go out a lot with friends...surprised I have any hearing today. The key is when music is that loud, you don't linger. This is a drinks only club with a bar inside the club.

THE FINAL BAMBOO: The cost for two items was around $50. Ol reliable when it comes to a place that you want to chillax with the kids/friends and have some great sandwiches.

Their Hookah is the worst in Austin, that's why it's cheaper; trash is cheap too. They don't use the same displayed tobacco, they use different brands/cheapest. Plus, the Hookah itself stinks and dirty; I don't think they wash it after every customer. I give them negative -10 for their customer service because they don't have any. The hairy guy that works there has no manners; I don't know why they let him work there!!! I don't think that the owner really cares about his business; it could be much better. I Do Not recommend this place but hey, you can give it a try then you may find more stuff to add. read more

My fiancé and I love yahala. It has been our date night spot since we started dating almost 2 years ago. Super chill spot to just bring some beers or drink some hot tea and just be able to talk or play games. We bring friends here to get away from the Austin bar scene but still go out and enjoy the night. We also bring our dog almost every time. Ali is the most hospitable proprietor of hookah places we have been- he is the owner and is often working and making sure you're being taken care of. I'm almost hesitant to share this post because we want to keep this little gem to ourselves! read more

Easily one of the best hookah lounges in town! Super nice cozy traditional seating inside! Amazing hookah and second to none staff! The staff at the front is super nice and will make sure your hookah is perfectly catered to your taste! Their hookahs are very clean and deliver amazing taste and smoke! Many of their hookahs are even flavor specific which makes the flavors here really pop! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to chill with some friends, do some work (their internet is very fast), or just chill on your own to relax! My first time here with my best friend and I can already tell this is a place I'll be coming back to. Very homely, great customer service and the people here know what they are doing. We told the guy up front that we hadn't come here before, but we like something with a fruity minty taste, and he mixed us up a blueberry strawberry mint concoction, and it is the best hookah I've had so far. My second visit in as many days... This place is probably the best hookah lounge I've ever been to. The staff recommendations have been welcome and they are quite knowledgable. Everything is clean (they have a single restroom, and it's been spotless both nights) and with their BYOB policy, it makes for a perfectly relaxing night... Just as a hookah lounge should be. Very good, nice atmosphere and multiple seating options. Friendly and helpful workers and the tea here is amazing! Fresh mint with black tea goes great with Hookah! We came in about 30 minutes before they opened and the guy still helped us out, instead of telling us to come back when they opened. He even let us choose the music! This is a very good hookah place! Great Hookah lounge. Most of the places I've been to were too loud and crowded which makes it impossible to relax. We went at a good time so we were able to get a good couch we could sit on. It was very relaxing. The hot tea is great to have while smoking. It seems like it made it easier to smoke as my husband and I don't smoke very often. read more

I was in Austin on business. I stumbled across this gem, and had an amazingly chill time. The staff was very very friendly. They will keep your hookah with fresh coals at all times, and the best part is you can BYOB. This is definitely going to be my "go to" spot if I'm ever in AUSTIN again. We frequently go to Yahala as our new hangout spot . We love the atmosphere there . They play some really interesting Arabic music vedios . The owners are always there (family owned) . Probably the best hookah bar I have been to. My girlfriend and I stop by whenever we are in Austin, probably about once a month or so. The owner is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and EVERY time we come he always remembers us. Some people may like that, but it was not what I expected. It was 4 star food. I think sitting outside would probably be much better.

Now, it's a total joke of an establishment and a lot more like a generic college bar. The beer selection has been reduced to about just a few fairly common and generic options. The website advertises "local musicians playing" and they basically mean a college kid playing club music from a laptop in the corner on the weekends. This place is also like two places in one? Is it Axis Bar or is it Antlers Wild Game Grill and BBQ? They seem to be trying to be both a restaurant and trendy bar and instead of focusing on one aspect of the business, they are desperately trying to balance both. As a result, neither are great. In reality, they are both pretty bad. This place is so unnecessarily segmented that ordering food and drinks meant that we had to do TWO different transactions, one for food, the other for a couple of beers...That's right, this place is so generic that they can't even synchronize your order and just have you pay for everything all at once. The simple act of ordering food and drinks at this place was an annoying hassle. The "talented chefs" that are mentioned on the website that specialize in "Wild game" are referring to the brisket/pork tacos, pizza, and beef sliders...you know...the super-duper wild stuff. The brisket tacos tasted like that cheap microwavable brisket you get at HEB and the pork tacos were more fat and pineapple than any quality meat. The price is $12 for 3 tacos...so $4 a piece for the small tacos at this place. There are much better and much better priced tacos in the area than the microwavable meat and tough/cold tortillas that they are serving up in this place. Overall, everything from the way this places is marketed on the website, the service, the food, the prices, and the beer selection is just all a big joke.
