Almost a year since my last review and this place still continues to be a go-to spot in the ever-evolving Linc complex. In recent months they've revamped their menu (especially the adult bevs), improved the offering process and added indoor / outdoor TVS which were a nice touch during the World Cup. I will start by saying at the height of its greatness, this place was 5 stars. I've been coming here for something like 7 years. Back then, Austin needed a bakery so badly that easy tiger was a standout savior. Fresh bread (still great today!) and pastries were so welcome. At some point after Covid, quality started slipping. Pastries weren't changing. The croissants were soft with no crunch. The chicken schnitzel which is used to be thin had turn into a thick blob basically a giant chicken nugget. The pretzels I always loved tasted stale like they baked them and left them sitting under heat lamps for hours. Sandwiches tasted noticeably worse. Still, we continued to come here. And then they were sold in the last year. New owners and what's the first thing they do? Fix issues? No that would be hard. They raised prices. A LOT. Coffees cost more than anywhere else in the area. Lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids meal hits $90 with zero leftovers. Every time I come here I feel so squeezed and it's never worth it. So this is it. After 7 years I'm through. The place has so much potential but whatever is happening here I cannot support. There are far better bakeries (looking at you sugarwolf) and far better coffee places (literally dozens). Here is to hoping for a turnaround. read more

We must have caught this place at an off time! We were looking for a place close to our hotel and the reviews were not bad. We arrived and they have a great patio, had live music and there were quite a few people there. We elected to go inside since we had been out all day and we ordered beers, some deserts, and I ordered an 'Ol Fashioned. Oddly enough, great chocolate and a fantastic 'Ol Fashioned go well together. However, the brownie was really dry - seemed to a a few days old, and the drink was just OK. They indicated it would be made with a mix so that probably my bad. My friend had a couple of beers and another dessert but his feedback was the same. I would have liked to stay longer and come back on another night to see if my first visit was an anomaly. Easy Tiger is a German beer hall ft locally roasted coffee shop. The first thing you notice is their large signboards and huge parking lot. The ambiance does look upscale, so are their prices. They have a great outdoor space and beautifully decorate indoor space. They're trying a lot of things - coffee shop with a bakery, dining restaurant, beer hall with craft beers. It does definitely get filled up in the mornings. My order: Bavarian latte Sour cream Kolaches Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese Bavarian latte though seasonal was nice and flavorful. Delicious. Honestly, I don't think you can do wrong with anything here. Loaves, pretzels, bagels, rolls, they will all have you in heaven. We have been to this Easy Tiger on many occasions. Today we went after a game of pickleball for a late lunch. I ordered the fish and chips with a NA lager and my wife had the burger with a spritzer. The fish was good, but the chips were just regular French fries. No malt vinegar. My wife enjoyed her burger, but again the fries were not anything special considering she had to order them as an extra side. The service was fairly prompt, but the drinks took longer than expected considering the place was not busy. I like the clean wood decor and outdoor space, but there are way too many picnic tables. I've never had a Hibiscus tea so good. Last weekend, I went to sit down for brunch. William was my server and he was awesome. He was the only one out there and with he handled at least 20 people on his own; they have really long picnic tables. Easy Tiger has changed ownership groups a few times over the last few years. Several of the recipes, service, etc have changed. Since they first opened Easy Tiger had a great morning menu option called Easy Morning. A cup of coffee and a pastry for $5. Imagine my surprise when I went in this week, ordered the same thing and now it is $11??!! We aren't talking about a latte and a pastry. Drip coffee. 8 oz. I get that there is inflation, etc and prices need to go up but this is easily 30-40% more than comparable elsewhere. We are talking about counter service coffee and a pastry from the case. $8 and you might keep my business. $11 and I'm gone. There isn't anything the differentiates Easy Tiger from any other coffee shop within a mile. It's a bit of a bummer because I really enjoyed Easy Tiger for the last decade. It's very near some electric charging stations so you can charge your EV; it's specifically for Tesla but if you have a compatible charger, it's easy to go grab a quick bite to eat and a pint. I love this location. I came in today for a bite and a loaf, and discovered their lunch special from 11-2 mon-fri for $14.95. My selection was the tomato bisque and the BLT on sourdough. Fresh and delicious. The BLT came with arugula, which is not my favorite, but the aioli and thick bacon made it barely noticeable. The service was great, very peaceful, they don't overwhelm with welcomes and questions, very natural and fluid. I sat outside in the sun and it was perfect. I told the cashier I wanted an iced matcha latte, and according to the receipt, I was charged for a large. However, the girl who made the drink handed me what looked like a regular 12 oz iced matcha -- for $7. When I pointed out that I was charged for a large but given a smaller size, she told me, "They come in one size for iced." My response? Then charge me for the 12 oz at $7 -- not the 16 oz large at $8 -- if there's only one size for iced drinks. Not happy with the service at all. I love coming to Easy Tiger for brunch. There's plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I usually sit outdoors when I bring my dog. It's almost always busy on weekends during brunch hours but the wait for a table is never long and the service is always friendly. My go-to is their egg sandwich served on the fluffiest, cloud-like bun. I'm always indecisive and will get my sandwich with either sausage or avocado. Both solid choices. Waffle fries are great for sharing. And do not miss the ginormous Bavarian pretzel! The side of beer cheese is the cherry on top. They also sell these pretzels at Q2 stadium, so get one!
