The DART is clean, safe, quick, has extensive coverage, and comfortable. Every time I've ridden there was a cop at least part of the way. I would look at a map before you arrive and before you leave. If you're young you might have someone old show you what I mean by "looking at a map," and if you're old like me, have someone younger show you how to use Google maps- public transportation on your phone.

DART from DFW can take you a long way at a very affordable price. It's a short walk from the A-1 end of the A terminal, just go downstairs on the elevator from baggage claim and follow the signs. It is highly likely that the fare machines won't work - it's been about 50/50. The train is modern but the seats are hard. It tends to provide shelter for many homeless on occasion; I've never had an issue but there are usually some disconcerting folks aboard. If you have to transfer try not to do it at one of the downtown stops - they are sketchey at best. Even if you have to overshoot by a stop or 2 and double back you'll feel safer. It's a metro area public transportation system - there are worse. Just keep aware of your surroundings and don't travel late night.

Also American airlines gate (E 32) was 4 miles away, I am sure AA sold our ticket with profit and we had to be rerouted all over the country. Customer service was horrible and didn't seem to care at all about this situation or their jobs in general. Customer service lied to us about the destination we were rerouted to, said it was only a 48 min. drive to our destination, was actually 3 hours away in the dark and had to drive through the icey mountainous roads, and pay over$300 for a rental car. Putting my family in danger.... Was not compensated the money either for the previous tickets. Never going to Dallas ( the construction nightmare city of Texas) or use American Airlines or DFW ever again. Horrible service and experience.

I had to swerve into the far right lane to keep from getting side swiped/ran over/killed. I watched him in my rear view mirror for several miles until I could no longer see him as he slowed down far below the posted speed limit. Continuing on 820 west on the west side of 35W he suddenly appeared again tailgating another vehicle and then he suddenly changed lanes and was tailgating me within several feet. He then changed lanes again and past me going at least 80 - 85 mph. The speed limit is 65. This is a driver that should never be on the road. I currently hold a CDL and drove a semi for 10 years so I know what I'm talking about when I have never had an accident or ticket driving commercially. He keeps driving like he does and he'll (I'm assuming it's a guy) being paying for a funeral and you'll no longer have a business.

Depending on the route you take it takes 30 minutes to an hour to make the full circle. The trolley drivers are super friendly and knowledgeable and make the ride a lot of fun!

From there the trolley heads down Mckinney Ave to downtown and circling back by Klyde Warren Park. Easy to hop on and off as your night dictates, but important to know that they trolley will only stop if you are standing and waiting at the designated trolley stop. To exit simply ring the bell and the conductor will stop when available to do so.

This is my first time visiting, and do note that you have to Street Park if you're not taking public transportation. However, during midday on a weekday, it was easy, and I paid $.60 for 12 minutes, which was long enough to grab what I was aiming for. There's about 2 to 3 attendants working behind the screen to help you out, and then you wait in a queue to come up to them. I told them what I was there for, ended up buying three of the different varieties of cards, and four of the postcard designs. The cards are $10 each but come with a day pass, and the postcard is an additional $2 each! I don't know if I'll have a need to go back in the future, but I definitely think it's a worthwhile stop if you're in the area, and if you're looking for a fun (and useful!) FIFA souvenir.
