I'll make this review short and sweet compared to my longer reviews. I was in Summit Mall during the first Saturday of May 2026 so I decided to stop into Yankee Candle. I received a coupon at the mall for 50% off a candle so I wanted to take advantage of the deal. I had never been to a Yankee Candle store before. CANDLES -- Plenty to choose from with varying wicks (1 wick, 2 wicks, etc). They offer gift sets, individual candles, and personalized/customized candles (customized to add your name or something else to the candle). I bought the 22oz size Honeysuckle Grove candle for $17.49 which was the price after the 50% off discount coupon was applied (original price was $34.99). The smell is earthy and a bit different than fragrances that I am used to but I don't mind it. I like that the candle wax is plant-based. I asked a store associate whether the wax was soy or a chemical based wax and she said Soy. I later looked at the Yankee Candle website and read the following - "Candles is poured in the USA with a premium plant wax blend and the finest quality ingredients from around the world, with no added parabens, phthalates, formaldehydes, or sulfates." I also bought 2 room sprays - one to use in my bathroom and another to use in my living room and dining room. The store associate who greeted me when I entered was nice and she walked with me around the store in deciding what candle scent to pick. I've been suffering from a little bit of dysentery lately and figured I could use a candle in my bathroom to wipe out the smell. However, I was disappointed to see that only about 10% of the candles in the store could fit up my ass. Oh well. read more

Very nice people working in this store. However, they need to learn to read the customer a bit better. I went in to buy gifts for Mother's Day, and told them I was fine, didn't need any help, but at least 2 people kept coming up and telling me about products, I would say on average every 60 - 75 seconds. This is actually counterproductive. I had a train of thought and was attempting to pick out items, and they were disrupting that. If it's something taught at the corporate level, then perhaps someone should let the folks at corporate know. If a customer says they just want to look, that should be respected. It is better for a sales associate to just be friendly, give their name, offer their help if there are any questions, and leave them to do their shopping. Customers with certain personalities might become so frazzled by the repeated interruptions, that they end up leaving without purchasing anything. Had I not been committed to buying from this store for this occasion, that likely would have been me. read more
