Unlike the other store in this outlet mall that seeks similar products like plug in refills and room sprays, these people are friendly Went in to see what they had even though I'd just restocked. Back of store I'd outlet and the front is like any other. Grabbed a few outlet items and a handful of 50% off items. Saleswoman was very nice and helpful. Let me know I had rewards money so used that too. I rarely go to these outlets but very glad I stopped in, needed a new air freshener for the car too. Now it smells lemony. I love Yankee candles but the service was so horrible at the outlet yesterday.. Karen was so rude!! My friend asked her nicely about the candle in the sale isle and her response was "what"... is this customer service? Then she said the whatever the price listed there.. lady, if you don't need the job.. I'm pretty sure Yankee candle can replaces YOU without any issue! If you hate working .. leave! We as a customer is always right! Your attitude made us want to leave and didn't want to spend any money there. We will report to LISA the manager there today! I love the staff here. Always welcoming, knowledgeable and happy to help. I walked in with a broken candle I bought online and it took all of 5 seconds to do the exchange. I went I once before with a coupon and she showed me what it entailed then explained the store deal which was way better. Iv always loved Yankee candles and always will. When I was Christmas shopping seen this place and got excited that I can buy my moms Christmas gift here instead of online. Walked in got a nice warm cheerful greeting and asked if I needed help with anything. She helped me out fining Pink candles that smell good. Pink candles are my mother's favorite. Then she explained to me the deal they have going on and I got to pick out some for myself as well. Love all the options they have in this location. While checking out the guy was very helpful and wrapped everything with care for me and made sure not to overstuff the bag. He also showed me the new stuff they are carrying now. Gave me some coupons and got a have a great night from all the employees. Will return only issue I had was they don't allow dogs in like all the other stores do @ the outlets read more

Yankee Candle is the best brand for scented candles. I don't care what others say, I do enjoy the presence of a candle (in certain settings), and find them also as great gifts. With the coupons the Yankee Candle Co. sends as well, it's a no brainer to stock up and have some extra so when you are in desperate need to find a gift, you already have one (this has happened to me so many times). This store sits in the first row of stores in the Wrentham Outlets. It's not an outlet store, but still is full of great deals and the store is larger than most of the other Yankee Candle stores I've been to in the past. Staff are friendly, specifically Sharon and Anna were both overly friendly, helpful and kind. Selection is decent, and if they had my all time favorite candle (Macintosh), this would have been an easy five star review. But since they didn't (and I was somewhat annoyed), 4 stars should be accurate. The best thing about Yankee Candle is though that they have so many candles, that you'll always be able to find something that you like. The holiday flavors they have out are always full of surprises (they normally add a scent or two every year) and had a deal of $14.44 per candle (odd price, but still a great deal). Only other complaint I have is that, it's not too difficult to access, but if you're only looking to go there and nowhere else, it's more than a pain to park (especially on weekends) and take the time walking all the way to the store. The one in Westwood is much more easily accessible. Decent Yankee Candle overall. 4 stars. read more

As a Yankee candle lover and big purchaser (10-20 candles at a time) my recent interaction at the outlet with Karen was completely unacceptable. Myself, my adult daughter and friend visited the store on 4/21. Helen greeted us and was pleasant. As I walked to the back of the store I saw some items, had a question and said "excuse me" to get Karen's attention. Her response was "WHAT". I was taken back by her response and even more surprised that she didn't walk over to me. I then said "is this item on sale"? Now as she's walking over but not able to see the item she is yelling to me "the price is what it says". Now in front of me I say "I'm asking because the bag has Christmas trees on it, no discount tag and no sign in the area". At that point regular customer service skills kick in and she said let me check the price. Ok I let it go. Then my friend who isn't knowledgeable about candles grabs a candle off the top of display, takes off the top and smells the candle from the jar. Karen YELLS from the register "don't take a candle from the top its the same candle in front of you and you smell the candle from the top". My friend puts the candle down and stood by the door as she had already purchased 5 candles but was interested in more. She later told me she wanted to ask about the wick cutters but would rather purchase from Amazon then to deal with Karen. Lastly, my daughter who was walking around with more than 5 candles put her basket on the counter because it was too heavy. Karen's response "I'm going to have to move your basket when a customer comes". At this point we were the only ones in the store. In addition the a stares between her and Helen, my daughter was unable to use the coupon on her receipt, Karen being nice to another customer who came in later and more, I left the store with only 11 candles and completely embarrassed as I told my friend we love the store. Lisa (one of the managers) has always shown professionalism and the other workers. We are 2 African American and Asian professionals and this is not acceptable. I hope they have cameras and sound to review Karens's behavior. She is not a good representative of Yankee candle. read more

I have bought Yankee candles for many years and was happy to see a new location open at the Wrentham Outlets. While this outlet center has lost many home and gift stores the past decade The Yankee Candle Store presence is a welcome change. Here are the good and bad points. First, the store is clean, well stock, and offer many identical items from their full price retail store but at lower prices. I have bought votive holders along with votive candles which I had seen at their retail store for half off prices. While the prices tend to be lower the staff is friendly attentive and knowledgeable about the products. One time I bought a large candle, and candle holder and the clerk cheerfully shrunk wrapped and tied Yankee signature ribbon on the gift at no charge. Although an outlet store they offer the service and amenities of their regular store. Two bad points are the store often does not always carry the most popular scents of Yankee regular stores. Instead overruns and clearance candles, less popular scents, or slightly altered scents with different packaging and names are the stock. Sometimes but not always you may find your favorite scent. While this is a true outlet price wise, for the past year Yankee Candles regular stores have had seasonal sales some as much as 75 percent off. Favorite scents and candle product often meet or are are lower priced than the outlet products. Finally, the full price stores honor the Yankee coupons which might not be the case here. In closing, this store is well organized, with good prices and value, and a helpful staff. Just note sometimes you may fare better at the regular Yankee Candle store sale. read more

Let me start by saying...I've been going to this Yankee Candle for years now. Every season, I head over to stock up on scents for my home & car. The ladies are usually helpful but really a hit or miss most days. Never bothered me much though, because I like to browse in peace. I always have a tough time deciding but my husband is usually happy with what I come home with. That being said, I had one of the very worst customer service experiences a few months ago and it happened in this store. Long story short, I went at the beginning of autumn to get the next crop of candles & was helped by a couple of ladies who were very nice. I asked them if there were any special promotions going on & they said no. Over $65 spent & a day later, I found out that Yankee Candle was running a promo that I would have qualified for, had I shopped a day later. I work in retail as well, if a customer calls our store the day (or even week) after they made a purchase wanting an adjustment because of a sale, we honor it. There is never a problem, as the customer always comes first. I called Yankee Candle, after the associate checked with her manager, it was a "no, sorry we can't help you" for me. I then contacted Yankee Candle's customer service, who in turn, touched base with the store & finally allowed the credit...BUT I had to go into the store with all of my things in order to do so. Funny, because: 1. Using today's technology, my store has the ability to process a credit over the phone. & 2. If by chance, a customer wanted to come in, we would not need them to return with all of their merchandise in hand, just the receipt is fine. So I did go back to Yankee Candle, I brought my receipt, my items all repacked & a friend. Customer service advised me to ask for the Manager, Lisa. What a rude, condescending & just plain argumentative woman. From first breath, she started up with, "just to let you know, we don't do this, so for next time & blah blah blah...". Her face was bright red as she processed the credit & she never spoke to us unless it was to reprimand & reiterate again that this type of transaction is not done. My friend was so beside herself by witnessing Lisa's unprofessional behavior that she even piped up, "this is the worst customer service I've ever seen." When an employee wanted to ask Lisa a question about something, she sarcastically responded, "I can't, I'm doing a return." I kept thinking that if I were the type of customer to make a huge stink about things and/or a scene, I would've returned ever single item altogether & just gotten a full credit back. Lisa made the whole entire transaction very uncomfortable, start to finish, even beligerantly asking if everything was alright as I looked over the credit receipt. I left the store without a "thank you" but with a $20+ credit & a knowledge that my family, friends, co-workers & I will never return. read more

The deals are absolutely great, so I will continue to shop there to get discounted candles. However, dealing with Lisa (THE MANAGER) is like dealing with the devil himself. She is a horrible, miserable, and pathetic little person. She is VERY rude, condescending, and pushy to the point where she started arguing with me when I didn't want to give my phone number and email. I cannot tolerate being berated to comply to a ridiculous request for my PERSONAL INFORMATION. She single-handedly ruined my entire shopping experience. The other sales associates are very friendly, funny, and helpful. They were one of the only pleasant aspects of my trip to Yankee Candle. The store is FILTHY. It looks as though they have not cleaned since the store was first built. The candles are dusty, the floor is dirty and sticky, and it only takes about 5 seconds to find a large piece of broken glass in every corner and under every table. One more thing, I feel horrible for the employees for constantly having to ask for customer's phone number and email. I DO NOT want to give my personal information MULTIPLE times. For the amount of money Yankee Candle makes, they can surly swing for a computer system upgrade. read more

sales were good. ran in to grab one thing. while i was cashing out the cashier did not even say hi when i went to the register. after she told me my total, she asked for my phone number, i said i didn't want to put it in the system.. then she asked for my email, i said i already had signed up for emails. she responded with "well it needs to be re entered into the system" i said it's fine then i don't need it in the system. she rolled her eyes at me while her older coworker to the side of her said "you sure about that? you get $10 off $25 if you do." i said "yes im sure, no thanks" and as i was walking away, the older coworker said to the other "guess some people don't like saving money." so yes, prices are better, but no i won't be back. i'll pay the extra money to not get treated like garbage when im a paying customer. read more

Usually I avoid going into Yankee Candle because I end up buying way too much; seriously, I have years worth of unused candles that I've had to throw out. So, moderation- right? I went in, and loved the set up of the store. Lots of displays. And the prices were great. Truly discounted unlike most of the stores I went into at the outlets. The staff was super friendly and ready to help but didn't press when it was obvious I was browsing. I ended up buying a cute candle holder and two candles (see, moderation!). At the register, they said one of the candles was just $2 for a huge size and I appreciated the fact that they knew enough about their product to tell me that, and since it was a scent that I always use, I ended up "upgrading" to the bigger size. They did try to get my number and my email which I hate turning down but I'm just not interested in receiving coupons or calls so that was a little awkward as the woman tried to launch into a spiel about the benefit of giving my number. There is only 2, but not surprisingly they are about how bad Lisa is. She flat out ruined my experience, causing me to leave empty handed.
