He started with very long, thick and curly hair and, not only is this barber fast, but he's also very precise and takes great care in his craft! Man-cut. Plain and simple. This father and son business has been around for years and probably will. Your first cut is $10 and $14 thereafter. I was able to call at 5:30 PM to get an appointment at 6:00 PM and walked in and had no wait. The haircut was done to my liking and the barber was friendly and not overly-talkative. Wasn't even acknowledged when I walk to the door. After sitting there for about 15-20 minutes I then was asked if I had an appointment. And then was told that she had nothing available today. I've been to a couple dozen different barber shops being that I'm in the military. Yankee clipper is definitely one of the top places to go. You can make an apt if you don't want to wait, or just walk in. Either way there is a minimal wait time. All the barbers are extremely nice and you don't feel awkward the fist time getting a cut there, unlike most places. I have been going to this same barber shop for about 10 years now and they always do an exemplary job. It's run by a father and son team, and they have a few other employees. They won't be going out of business anytime soon; they have a great location in the center of Bridgewater. Simple cuts for $14 but the first one is only $10 which is a great incentive. You can make an appointment for half an hour in the future most days; however they DO require you to set up an appointment; no walk-ins. They listen to what you want and will ask you how it looks before you leave. Not the most talkative people (the women who work there are more verbose), but thats fine since they wont be distracted whilst cutting your mop-top. One con is you have to pay in cash. Oh well. Great haircut for a decent price, the barber was a pleasure to chat with and not only cuts hair recall well but gives great facial hair trimming. For such a small shop they really woek hard to make you feel welcome. The wait times are short and most of the time they accept walk ins (the exception being really busy days, normaly at the end of the semester). They offer a lot of nice little promotions here and there so it pays to follow on facebook. I personaly recommend booking before hand to avoide the rush. If you live in the area or go to BSU this barber shop is really worth visiting for both its high quality, fair price and the cultural experience that you only really see in New England. Although very modern you get that classic barber shop feel, even on busy days its still a very personal experience and even the customers are present to chat with. If you have never been to a genuine barbershop with classic New England charm you really should try out Yankee Clipper. read more
