We have been trying to get our deposit back from 8/3/24, which was supposed to be returned by 9/4/24. Michelle and Geordy have been giving my mother the runaround and have stopped returning her calls. Despite multiple assurances that the check was mailed, we have received nothing. They do not return calls, do not provide specific information in emails, and are simply holding onto my family's deposit. Michelle and Geordy, we expect a phone call and our deposit returned before we contact our attorneys and the AG's office. Run don't walk from this business. You work hard for your money and want a fun vacation with family and they love to pop in and tell you how you need to spend your time. They had some family stop by in their boat and anchor it 40 feet from rental house dock and were told that's not allowed. What a joke. Lucky I went through Airbnb and witnessed this nonsense to a family of first responders who do nothing but great things for people in need. read more

We have rented a lake house from Yankee Pedlar for the last four years. It would be impossible to reccomend them any higher. Geordy and Michelle take great pains to make sure everything is taken care of to help make our vacation enjoyable. If there are any minor issues they jump in and take care of them quickly. We will continue to do business with them as long as we are renting at the lake. read more

We Rented a House for a week and spent 8000.00 which is a lot of money for us!! Starting out was ok until we found out that the Gas grill would not work!! we had an electrical outlet which had no cover and we had Children visit and had to put something in front of the outlet the entire week. No TV service the whole week and problems with the Dock and called every day and visited his office but to this day no response!! We will never Rent from these people again and hope that you do the same after reading this review read more

Horrible service. They Don't return calls or messages. They Treat renters like they are doing us a favor. They Misrepresent the properties they list for rentals. I literally left them 10 messages over a 3 week period and begged their receptionist to have them call me back while I was staying in one of their rentals and they totally ignored every message. They also rented me a house with no propane in the grill and where more then half the bedrooms smelled musty and had no air conditioners or bathrooms in the buildings they were in. (They marketed it as a 5 bedroom luxury house but only 3 of the bedrooms had bathrooms and air conditioners as they were in the main house and the other 2 bedrooms were unlivable due to the musty smell and the fact that one would have to go to the main house to use a bathroom) Renters and homeowners considering using this company should beware as they don't care about anyone unless you want to buy a house from them...and even then they probably won't return your messages or calls or requests for assistance. So disappointing as I have rented high end homes for years and never had a problem or experienced anything like this in my life. read more

This is my husband's business. He gets up at 2 or 3 am, inspects nearly 100 properties regularly, and has been known to meet renters on the highway to change a flat tire so they can check into their lakefront rental and start enjoying the water. He does so much more. Wolfeboro is a small beautiful lakefront town and yes, sometimes garbage pick-up is unorganized. It's happens to us as well. More often than not, garbage is picked up on schedule by a man who looks a little like Santa Claus. All owners provide grills. Tenants pick up propane. We have thousands of happy renters who return year after year and we are happy to welcome them, with fresh-baked cookies, to our beautiful spot on earth. read more

Hello. I am posting today in response to Renee D.'s recent posting as Geordy highly respects our military service people.

Geordy is the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with. Due to my husbands military obligations I had to cancel our reservation for this year. I did this within 60 days. His responses to me were rude from the get go. He was verbally abusive and has no regards for the service members of our country. He threatened small claims court even after I said I would send him my husbands military orders. Not to mention we rented the last 2 summers in a row- and received high compliments from the owners of the house we rented last year who happened to be on the same property the week we were. They were sad to see us go. I will never ever rent from this company ever again. read more

I am finding it very difficult to write a positive review after my recent experience with Yankee Pedlar. My family rented a home and upon arriving became aware of many concerns, some were major. The ladder was removed from the dock, making this difficult and dangerous to enter the lake and there were exposed nails on the dock as well. The tv and grill were not functioning and these were only a few of the issues. We attempted on 3 different occasions to meet with Geordy but received no response. I find this to be absolutely inexcusable and totally unprofessional. read more

We used Yankee Pedlar Realtors to rent a waterfront house on Lake Winni and it was a pleasant experience. Catherine at Yankee Pedlar was especially helpful in selecting a great house and making sure we were comfortable. Would use them again next time we rent a house on the lake. I rented with Yankee Pedler for the first time last week. It was a great experience. The house was clean and as advertised. The staff was lovely and gave us fresh baked cookies and water guns for the kids when we arrived. I would rent again with them. Only reason not 5 stars is that the DVDs player did not work and they did not replace during our visit as requested. read more

2nd year renting on beautiful lake Winnepesaukee using Yankee Pedlar. Checked in on Saturday and noticed that garbage cans in entryway were all full. I called Yankee on Monday morning expecting that they would handle the oversight. At that point no big deal. Guy who answered the phone apologized, and promised that someone would be there that day to pick it up. We left the garbage cans outside expecting they would do what they said. Long story short.......no one showed and I spent an hour the next morning picking up garbage from the spillage caused by raccoons. On Wednesday went to the office in town, was told the same thing.....again, nothing but empty promises. Smelly garbage all week from someone else. Garbage is stored in room where you enter building, so had to live with the terrible smell all week. Yankee pedlar personnel could not have cared less. My recommendation would be to use a company that at least tries to give the impression they care read more
