We were traveling and I was dying for some of my favorite food categories, which is BBQ! We found Yanks off of Yelp, and it's in a very small town, and a little "hole in the wall" place, but let me tell you, the food was amazing! I just wish we had little places like this closer to home! The service was amazing, you order from a small "window" and the lady was so dam nice, and I say that in a very nice way, because you just don't get customer service like that anymore! I just wish I got her name, but I have a feeling that she most likely owns the place, and has been there a long time! Not sure what they're famous for but it can't be the baby back ribs. No smoke flavor, no bark, pale and hard pull off the bone. Baked beans had a strong tomato taste and runny, not good. Enjoyed the local experience but not this particular visit for lunch. read more

Very clean seating area, employees all friendly and helpful. The ribs and brisket are awesome. Not the greatest area of town ( dead downtown) but we had no problems and we were able to pull into the lot next door with our truck and rv. Well worth a stop off the interstate. read more

Rib tips hot is where it is at! I'm glad they ran short on ribs tonight. When I got back to the hotel room and I popped open the box I knew I was in for a treat. Drive through shack. Cash only. On Main St in "downtown" - clearly not the most wealthy metropolis in the U.S. but an easy drive from the interstate and nothing to worry about. The BBQ is about as good as you'll find anywhere. The $5 chopped pork sandwich is great and one of the best deals you'll find, you can get sweet or spicy sauce and even coleslaw on top. Ribs are large, tender, and have a nice bark. Baked beans are a bit on the sweeter side but tender and fantastic. You'll likely have a bit of a wait for your food, order at the window then pull around and they'll bring it out. We waited probably 5-10 minutes and there was another car in front of us that was longer. But it's worth it. Any day. read more

Good place to stop for dinner off of the interstate. Burgers were awesome! Brisket was a little chewy but otherwise pretty good. Ribs were perfect. Plenty of sides to chose from. To look at this tiny drive thru BBQ spot you wouldn't expect big things from it but don't let your eyes fool you! This place is open Monday thru Saturday from 10:00am untii 5:50 (when they stop taking orders). I had their 1/2 chicken combo with beans and slaw. I asked for the beans to be spicy and they were!! The slaw mellowed the heat but the main event is a huge barbecued chicken and it was outstanding! The burgers and fries are not bad and not the best I've ever had--but if you're at BBQ joint you need to enjoy their specialty! Great food, I'm from out of town but come up 3-4 times every 3 months to work at the steel mill and the guys there always ask if I'd buy them lunch from Yanks. I'm not a big BBQ guy but the burger was a amazing, the BBQ is good as well even though I'm not a huge fan of pulled pork sandwiches. I'd love to try the ribs! Maybe next time. read more

Could have been smokier and the sauce a bit sweet but tender and a large portion. The cole slaw was soupy and boring and the beans were too sweet. I would like to try the ribs. If there is any restaurant you go for food while in Blytheville, make it here, as it is the most down to earth eatery. The rib tips are amazingly tender and the BBQ sauce compliments it well. The slab of ribs with coleslaw and beans are also prepared well. The place is small and it is a drive through so keep on the lookout for a couple small shacks and a smoker. I live in Blytheville and every time I want good BBQ I go to Yanks. You might have to wait in a line for a while sometimes, but the smell of the smokers will keep you there. I normally get a chopped BBQ plate and I always order it HOT and they can really bring the heat. read more
