1. 18% gratuity added to ALL checks, not just large parties. What happened to the days when people had to earn their tips? This 18% added to every check is pure crap. 2. Food was expensive but delicious. 3. Bartender spent more time texting or facebooking than she did serving her clients. I was ready to order but I had to sit there and watch her doing something on her phone for several minutes before she finally looked up and realized I was looking at her. There were only two of us in the entire restaurant at that time. She brought me my side salad appetizer and I had to sit there staring at my salad until she figured out I had no fork. She was embarrassed and she finally brought me some silverware and a napkin. I had to get up and go get salt and pepper from halfway down the bar. Does this sound like an 18% gratuity was warranted? Recenty Renovated. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Blythville a few tomes over the years. Downstairs they have two restaurants, one is a Perkins and the other is Bistro Eleven 21. The Bistro serves classic American fare and is known locally for it's collection of Craft Beers. The last time I ate here I the hotel was ungoing renovations and we had to eat in one of the conference rooms. Now that the Bistro and the hotel are renovated, I choodse to eat here again. One of my favourite starters at the Bistro is their Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp which I have had countless times. As always it was cooked just right without overcooking the shrimp. For my Mian course I had a grilled 'Chipotle' PorkChop from the new menu. This 14 oz. bone -in Pork chop Chipotle Pork Chop is served frenched and seasoned with chipotle rub then rubbed with creamy bacon and mango sauce and served with herb rice & vegetable du jour. This is a huge meal but worth every penny and a nice change from having barbecue, fish or steak which are my goto's when I travel. The Chop was cooked medium-well but still tender and a bright pink in the center. The cmbined flavours make this a dish I will try again when I'm in the area next. read more

Stayed at the Holiday Inn which this restaurant is attached to and ordered to go to eat in my room. I ordered from the bartender who was nice and efficient. I decided to try the fettuccine alfredo. They told me it would take 15 min so I went back to my room set a timer and walked back 15 min later. The side salad was not impressive and the pasta was cold. How it's possible to make the pasta and have it already be completely cold in 15min is beyond me but a cold Alfredo is not good and since they package it in styrofoam I couldn't microwave the container. We tried to have a dinner with friends at this bistro with two friends and our 3 year old. The hostess seated us at a table for four although we told her that we did NOT want a child seat for our daughter. We tried to make this work but it was obvious we would be not fit at the assigned table. I approached the hostess and asked to be reseated stating that we are waiting for two more people and we needed a bigger table. The hostess said "well it's 4 people and a child". When I responded that's 5 seats a lady sitting nearby told me not to be disrespectful to the hostess. I asked how she's involved in this conversation she finally introduced herself as the manager. When I asked what was disrespectful to what I said to the hostess she went off the deep end. I really didn't need this and I asked if she wanted my business or not. She still was stuck on me being disrespectful, so I decided to take my business somewhere else. Highly unprofessional and rude. Not recommended. The locals might be ok with it. We are not. read more

This place is just what the dr. ordered! Soup, salad, steak, sandwiches, seafood, all you could want. The wait staff was so friendly and caring, and served our wine with such professionalism and care. The soup was killer delicious and served in cute little cups, the broth of the steak soup was spicy and perfect while the bisque was creamy, thick and wonderful. I am so glad we stopped here on a long road trip for some much needed rest and rest and relaxation. Excellent service! On a random Sunday night with almost no customers, the wait staff remained friendly and engaging. It's tough to stay up-beat when you have 4 customers in the restaurant and two of them are fellow staff members. The draft beer selection was great and the food much better than expected. The chef put some time, attention and quality ingredients into his/her dishes. The seafood bisque and the roasted pepper soup were delicious! Actually really good food for a hotel restaurant. The seafood bisque is a MUST! Really good. We also ordered the fried green tomatoes. Ok. Then we ordered a burger to split. It was a 3/4 lb burger so it was big. Unfortunately, our server informed us she had a room service delivery to make and then she'd bring our burger. I ordered it medium rare. When it finally came it was well done and the juices of the burger had soaked into the bottom bun making it disintegrate. It was tasty but impossible to eat as a hand held sandwich. I would recommend a BOWL of the seafood bisque and go with a side salad. read more

Service: slow to respond, weak on their pours even after consecutive nights with good tips. Have to flag them down for silverware, ask about specials. Food: good but overpriced for the area, city prices for adequate meals. For the area this is one of the better restaurants, not much to pick from. read more

My sides and cocktails were delicious but my steak was overlooked and tough. Definitely not worth the $30 dollar steak price tag.

BE WARNED!!!!! This is not the first time I have eaten here, I have been here more than 8 times. The past two times, I sat at a table not the bar. The service was TERRIBLE!!!! The food was good, and I enjoyed it. But, I had to wait half an hour for any one to come and see how I was doing after the meal was gone, and my beer was empty. SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!!!!! 6 years we've stopped@ the Holiday inn and enjoyed the Bistro. But in the last 2 years the restaurant has gone down hill. Shrimp and grits is now more like a soup. Terrible. For the love of all that is holy, DO NOT EAT THE OYSTERS HERE!!!!!! I ordered 12, 8 of those were so rotten that I smelled them when they were delivered. I was so grossed out that I don't know when I will ever eat oysters again. Other menu items might be fine but after this, I will never know because I will not be back. I travel through town frequently and always stay at the Holiday Inn because The Bistro is attached. After I check in and wash my face, I head down for a glass of wine from a better than decent wine list. you pay dearly for a good one, one reason for only 3stars. Another reason is the cheap poly napkins. I have to dig into my purse for a kleenex if I really need it! Salads are nice. The shrimp bisque is fab. I usually get shrimp &grits for a main. Third reason for my rating; take the tails off, Chef! Maybe it looks nice, but what a hassle and waste for me to have to cut the tails off. Desserts look nice. I had creme caramel a long time ago, but that was a superb chef. Now, Im not as impressed. But I'll still stop here so keep trying! read more

I'm going to be straight forward with this review. It earned a solid 3 stars for the food and the 4th star for the service and ambiance. I had a great waitress! It was obvious that she knew what she was doing. I had the wings, half hot and half Parmesan garlic. The hot had a good standard sauce. The parmesan garlic weren't garlicky enough for me but it may have been due to the drinks :). There was live music and it was acoustic, surprise good! Had a FAB birthday dinner here tonight. Friendly and quick wait staff. The char grilled caesar salad is a MUST TRY! Had the filet mignon, tender and tasty with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. Please do not eat at this restaurant!!! Service was horrible and food was also. My family had the most horrible experiment at this restaurant. There was a spider that crawled out of the menu and the waiter killed it with his bare hands. After asking the waiter to tell the manager about the spider he refused then they had the audacity to charge us $13.00 dollars gratuity. The manager and the servers were very rude! Paying for our food was never the issue, but we refused to pay $13.00 dollars in gratuity for a place that is not sanitary and horrible service. After leaving reviews on the restaurants website, the manager proceeded to argue back and forth with us. I have never witnessed anything like this in my life. With any negative review the job of the restaurant is to try and rectify the problem not argue with the customers to defend their stance. Please be aware of this establishment. read more

I stayed in Blytheville for business and ate here 3 nights in a row and loved the ambiance and the food but what really stood out for me was the staff . I didn't enjoy being away from home but a very pretty lady from the staff named Haven made me laugh and feel like I was among friends. My husband an I decided to give it a try after his bad experience with the food here and it was just as bad this time. The steak I had ordered medium rare came scorched and inedible! The baked potato was cold and wouldn't melt the butter. I chose the seafood bisque and there was NO seafood which probably was the reason there was NO seafood flavor at all....melted cheese with a little tomato flavor. I ordered a dirty martini and they let me know real quick they didn't have olive juice! We sat for 10 minutes before we got to place our drink order. Our bill was $100! Never again. I have eaten here on a few occasions. the atmosphere is nice, and it is well designed. however it is overpriced and seems to share a kitchen with the other restaurant in the hotel (Perkins).
